    I would love to see if you can balance a tire to 0 without weight. I have a tire company that says it's possible and he had balanced all four without weights on a truck.i said it was impossible.and extremely rare if at all.claibraiton in order?what do you think.

    • @UnforgottenTech
      @UnforgottenTech หลายเดือนก่อน

      @coreywilson3326, I would agree with you that Balancing a tire to 0 without weights is extremely rare due to manufacturing variances and wear. While theoretically possible with perfect tires and wheels, it's impractical in everyday scenarios. Calibration issues could also affect balance.

    Thanks Gregory! I drive a Ford Econoline handicap van and I am short. I am hoping that I can use this adjustment as I have to lift my entire knee to hit the break. I don’t feel safe in its current location. Thanks for the tip. Any suggestions are welcome.

      Thank you very much for the question. I would recommend keeping your brake pedal to the manufactures specification. This is due to the fact that If your brake pedal is too high, it can cause increased brake wear, uncomfortable driving, brake drag, brake lights staying on, and delayed braking response. It's important to get it properly adjusted for safety and performance. If needed there are aftermarket companies that offer equipment that can alter the brake pedal to your comfort without compromising safety.

    Great tutorial, today was my first day lifting our mini van 2015 Chrysler Town and Country in our home garage installed two post half lift Max Jax from Bend Pak, the positioning of the vehicle took long time and it is not perfect but it is relatively straight and centered on the lift area, where the doors seams are kind of in the middle of the lift columns I had to experiment with it to get it where i like it, the van has like a thin metal edge and not really 'lift points" which makes it difficult to determine the optimal point; as result the front arms are closer to the front wheels than the rear arms are to the rear wheels; the Max Jax is rated to 7K and the van weights 6050 pounds; it is pretty heavy compared to a normal car and tall too, our ceiling is 8.7 and the clearance I have to work under it is 38 inches, a little over 3 feet but I just tested being under using also an Ergo Creeper which can only go into its first setting off the floor at 21 inches but I kind of semi-laying down and it is so comfortable that I could sleep on it and can reach every point under it, so I am happy that the objective expending so much money and time in this setup yields a better position to access under the frame better than just using jacks stands; the Max Jax has mechanical safety stops to prevent the weight to rest on hydraulic power only and it seems to me pretty solid without having the need to buy extra long jacks as many other people do for extra layer of safety; the vehicle is secured in all 4 points and unless there is an earthquake does not seems it would just fall off. I was thinking maybe the clearance would not be enough but I was wrong; this lift has 6 safety stops, due to how high the van is and the ceiling clearance I can only use 5 then back down to rest on the stop and have good reach under to everything. I also just got an oil drum from Harbor freight which needed to cut 5 inches off the main tube to make it fit under the vehicle but overall I am happy as to how everything is coming along. Ready not to overhaul that hydrolocked engine! the tip about placing a jack on the back when the engine is out is great, thank you for the tutorial!

    If the brake pedal goes up is it jaming?

    • @UnforgottenTech
      @UnforgottenTech 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your brake pedal is too high, it can lead to a few potential issues and discomforts while driving: 1. Ergonomic Issues: A high brake pedal may cause discomfort or difficulty in reaching and pressing the pedal effectively, especially for drivers with shorter legs. This can lead to fatigue or strain during long drives. 2. Delayed Brake Response: If the pedal is unusually high before it engages the brakes, it might indicate excessive free play or a maladjustment in the brake linkage or pedal assembly. This could potentially delay the brake response time, affecting your ability to stop quickly in an emergency. 3. Braking Efficiency: A high pedal might also mean that the brakes are not releasing fully when the pedal is not pressed. This could cause the brakes to drag slightly even when not engaged, leading to increased wear and tear, and reduced fuel efficiency. 4. Safety Risks: Any issue with the brake pedal height that affects how you apply the brakes can be a safety risk. Inconsistent or unexpected braking behavior can lead to accidents, especially in situations requiring sudden stops.

    It seems all these lift videos NEVER really mention how you position your vehicle in relation to the location of the posts. Yes some lifts will provide the approximate of the tire plate. But what if the manufacturer did not provide this....as in the one i have......what do you do then? My Chev crew cab will not have the posts located in reference to it....same as a Toyota corolla?. So.....what do you do.....guess???

    Thank you for the great film. Is it hard to despring that spring completely? For some reason there are no films, showing this procedure, though it is important, bcs before you give the old assembly for recycling or just put it into the trash container, you need to release that spring, so no one is hurt accidentally. That procedure will be also necessary, if you want to replace the spring for another one. I bought a new assembly to install, but researching what to do w/the old one, how to dispose it properly. From this film it looks like that the strut is the part which can be worn in the assembly. I thought they are springs, they become softer, so the car is sitting lower as a result. But after this film I start to think that the springs are never worn, they just can be broken (in accidents e.g.). Probably that is why all the films are about how to remove the old spring and install it on the new strut, so no one bothers to decompress that spring. Thank you again.

      And also it's cheaper, like RM2.05 per litre or around US$1.74 per gallon.

      Sounds like an awesome area if there are so many Benz, Audi, and Lambo's! This reminds me of Malaysia's law where only citizens can buy Ron 95 and foreigners have to buy Ron 97 or higher.
