So 4th gear is same ratio as 6th gear on the 6R80. So pretty decent fuel mileage as long as you stay out of it. There is a drawback however. To put it in 4th you must put the car in manual mode and let go of gas pedal before selecting 4th other wise it will bang hard in the gear. And vice versa

@ interesting, would it be the same setup if you had an F150, was looking to do this to a F150 with the 6r80 instead of swapping it for the th400

@@nickcarroll5739 if you have to lower the subframe put jack an 2x4 on the oil pan to support the engine when your lowering the subframe

@@nickcarroll5739 you should also be able to lift the engine a little too while the mount is off

@@nickcarroll5739 you will see bigger subframe bolts I believe there are 3 a side. It’s been a little while but it is super easy to do

Similar. The difference with the rear is an electronic parking brake. Recommend using a scanner that can retract rear parking brake to make it easier

You typically do. Or you can just twist the caliper piston back in which takes a bit longer

You can put it in workshop mode and there is an option to retract the caliper automatically vid on u tube how to enable. What size hex head are tge fixing bolts ?

Makes it way easier for access and it’s super easy removing it out of the way

@@jarvracing8452 yeah I just changed my starter last night the frame is completely different From 2011-2012 the frame is now connected to the 4 lower control arms, and rack n pinion. I was confused on how you got access to the starter by only removing the sway bar, alternator, and a mount.

Yes there was. Pulled starter out and starter smelled like ir was burnt

My car has 90k miles doesn’t click or anything when hitting the button. Even tried beating on the starter. I’ve checked the relays just odd there isn’t even a click or anything when hitting the button. Guy I bought it from let it sit and the battery died. Replaced battery and now won’t do nothing. I don’t wanna go wasting time pulling a starter if it’s not that lol

@@DonleyPerformance so easy way to tell if your getting anything is. Use a multimeter an check to see if there is 12v to the big gauge wire. If there is move on to the small gauge wire that is on the starter have 1 person in the car and have your multimeter on the small gauge wire. Have him try to start it an see if there is 12v that appear on that small gauge wire. If 12v do appear when the driver try’s to start it, than your getting ignition voltage to the starter solenoid. If your not than your have to work on diagnosing the ignition switch to that starter switch wire an see what the issue is that 12v is not being sent to the starter to close the solinoied. Also make sure the starter also has a good ground.

No brake sensor reset. The switch realistically works as a wire with no breaks in it. When the pad wears down it than starts wearing down the small plastic switch that is attached to the brake pad till it gets to a point where it grinds the wire/switch open causing the brake lamp to come on.

I am making 1000+ so yes the R1 will lose

So if your getting 12v power to it that see if it attaches to the starter or the back of alternator

I’m talking about the black cable with the tag on it

I already have power cables connected to both the starter and alternator no room for this cable

@@SK8TERadii see if it’s a ground by taking a Volt meter in OHm settings. If so see if it attactches to the motor mount

I figured it out there was a rubber grommet that goes on the starter bolt that I forgot to put on the starter was touching the motor mount we’re the grounds bolt up that’s why I was getting power from that ground

Yes it is just don’t power shift the transmission. Also you will need to replace the stock clutch

@@1FASTGT350 I have the ford IDS software so I didn’t have to take it anywhere. But if you don’t have it I’d try forescan an if no good than the dealer

The only issue I have is the 3-4 shift where it would clunk bad if your still on the throttle. A way around that I’d releasing the gas shift it into 4th wait till it engages than press throttle again an then there is no clunk. You have to do it every time. You do have to manually shift into 4th via steering wheel paddles

Hey, I'm doing this as we speak, there's a wire that you mention is the power line for the alternator, I can't see where its supposed to go, looks like its coming from the engine somewhere and then there's another that comes from the loom along the framerail any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a manual but it’s a no lift shift meaning you can keep your foot on the gas and shift at the same time giving the meaning “No lift shift” 👍🏾

White mustang is 2.3l Vmp smallest pulley available on E85 800+rwhp the black mustang is whipple 2.9l gen 2 on a 3.25 pulley on e85 800+rwhp
