I miss DCI all the time, being around guys like Jeff Queen, Nick Angelis, the center snare from my Corp when I aged out Doug Clark and you ScoJo, you were at the Blue Devils as Caption head by the time I came into the fold but I miss you guys.
have to admit, somewhere down the line, you get hear a drop in quality of attack and tempo. alright i will tell you. the last 2 have horrible quality and temp control . its like they are millenials...oh , they are. too much rap and metronome electronica...while the others graduated from the metronome long ago, and went way past it.
Is that why one of the older guys (Scott Johnson) taught one of the younger guys (Brandon Olander) using a “metronome electronica?” Interesting how the older guys supposedly “graduated” from metronomes but still teach people to use them 🤔
He has the most perfect stance possible for a marching drummer when playing. And in visual terms, is one of the best things because he stands out more than the others in a good way. Jeff Queen is a legend and a huge inspiration.
Brandon is thriving 😂
😂😅😂😅😂😅😂
Solar panels are HIDEOUS
what is the first thing they played I recognize it but idk what it is
is there anywhere i can get the sheet music for this?
Well Done Gents

Fabulous and more fabulous top notch musicians and the result is musical excellence
I'm old and I dropped my sticks twice and didn't even finish the first measure.
What exercise is thiz?
Legends
Surprised Keelan Tobia wasn’t there. That’s a champion that would be awesome to see live
Keelan Tobia has no personality
I played this last night as a cold hands warmup
Can I audition? I played snare in 64, 65 and 1966. Fewer rudiments back then, however. Oh, and Mylar heads. I love what you do every year Scott!
The fuck is this shit lmao
You're a fucking clown
Time signature anyone? It counted 5/4 but then I got lost at the longer parts so it’s probably mixed right?
Okay so I got two bars of 5/4, one bar of 10/4 (yes I know it can 2 bars of 5/4), two bars of 5/4 again and then one of 14/4 (or two bars of 7/4)
It’s 3/8 to 2/4 to 3/8 to 2/4 to 6/8 to 4/4 repeat but second time two measures of 4/4
The dude that to the far left looks like lance 210
El abuelo inzano 😂
What rudiment do they do on the 3rd one?
Swiss army triplets
what month when they march blue devils?
Awesome!

This might be the most ignorant comment I’ve seen in my entire life
Ik this is a late joke but… I hope this guy Scott Johnson makes it I heard he’s pretty good
LOVE THIS
i hope to be able to play like this one day this is amazing
Scott any tips on memorization its takes me like 1 hour to get one bar down.
Lined up in order of oldest to youngest.
Still dirty, don't know how in one of the categories the BDs got a perfect execution for percussion.
Bro this is January early season of the early season. This is impressive because this is when the line was barely even set up.
At least it’s a little more musical than normal :/
Fong 💥
Brandon was the only person I recognized
Awesome job scojo! Sounds killer!
This is amazing
they're that clean with little to no rehearsal time
Insert distortion guitar lol

Brohard or brohome

Jeff Queen is such a boss

Bro Casey bro HARD!
Brandon has the same smile all the time
I love this solo is this in a book?
Yes, in my book "Chops" www.rowloff.com/BooksFolder/Chops/
My bad, this solo is not in a book,,, most of it is improv and played to a sound track... sorry.
@@scottjohnson5035 That's okay I can't believe my favorite drummer replied to me. Thanks for helping.
