    Is there a way to make acrylic skins without…. Flowtrol?????

    • @TheWellEducatedArtist
      @TheWellEducatedArtist 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@kaitlyn888 Yes. You can use just use water to thin the acrylic paint or use a mixture of white PVA glue and water instead of floetrol. The glue and water skins are usually more brittle, though. You can also use water based varnish to thin the paint if you want a more rigid skin. Latex house paint thinned with water makes a flexible skin and is used as a base for bloom skins that can be very ornate. Some craft paints are runny enough to be used straight from the bottle and even tube acrylic paint can be spread thin to make a skin with a pallet knife. Lots of options depending on the use!

    Reading comments there is not a lot of conversations about there activity level. Having physical movements help with blood circulation and better healing. I found that if i am in pain i better find a way to keep blood circulation. I am on day 6 from c-5 c-6 c-7 fusion. I am back to walking 4 miles a day and found much pain relief in getting that blood movement. If i am going to have pain i might as well be doing something to get my mind of it so im not so tensed up. The pain in my right arm and neuropathy pain has stopped with the surgery so i am going to do what it takes to help heal the damage from the surgery that most likely is temporary. Amazing how much life can be improved from these well educated doctors that are like the healing hands of our maker!!

      @@alberthaug-t4p i can say that activity is important after all surgeries…as long as you can do it. I could walk 4 miles before the surgery but six days after I could not have due to the muscular pain in my back and neck. Just washing my hair or putting on clothes with long sleeves was almost unbearable. I could not hold my head up without fatigue. Love to know your age, if you took pain killers, and activity level before the surgery. Each person has a different experience due to so many factors. Best of luck in your recovery.

      @TheWellEducatedArtist ya I'm 68 year old man retired. I been over weight most my life. Had lower back surgery February. 2023 with relief to my sciatic nerve. Had bad disk problems with my neck for decades. Went to ortho about my neck Aug. 2023 and was given referral for weight management and I started walking everyday and weighing all foods and fluids with intermittent fasting. I lost 45 lbs before sleeved april 29th. 2024 and lost total 120 lbs. All together. Had mri. Neck in July this year that showed severe stenosis c-5 c-6 c-7. Tylenol was only pain reliever I took but continued the exercises. Had the fusion oct.30th 2024 and came home from hospital with orders for muscle relaxer as needed every 6 hrs. And Norco 5-325 one tablet every 4 hrs as needed. I ice my neck both sides that give me great relief and 2 tylenol 500 mg.if needed. I found to set in my recliner or chair or bed gives me more pain than walking around. I am a retired geriatric nurse so I am well educated seeing people that have severe pain and get out of there comfort zone and shed tears but have a quick recovery getting those muscles and blood moving. The words are easy to say and the pain is real but I am very grateful for the right arm pain being gone and the nerve relief on my right upper extremity. Time for healing is on my side now and I want to keep moving and enjoying the new me even with the healing process pain.

      @@nyannyan123456I finished physical therapy for my neck new years eve day had 4 weeks 2 times a week. I occasionally have tylenol for stiff neck for seems I must sleep wonkey some times and stiff in morning. 10 days out from therapy took muscle relaxer 2 different times. Last Sunday I walked total 3 hrs for day and needed the muscle relaxer the next morning. Going on 10 weeks out from surgery never any return of right arm and shoulder pain or neuropathy. No noticed right peripheral vision problem any more either. I have still a little loss of range of motion turning my head to the right but I had decades with more severe loss of range of motion from the severe neck stenosis. Physical therapy revealed how the muscles of my right side of neck needed reconditioned. 3 month follow up and x-rays with surgeon coming up to make sure fusion successful and so far I have no reason to believe different!!!!
