A start to finish painting demonstration of Shadows on Red Rock. During this video, I explain my thought process in designing and painting this red rock scene. I start with a value sketch to plan my design, paint a first wash to set the tone of the painting, paint a second wash to create texture, connect my middle value shapes for cohesion, and finish the painting with dark values and details.
