Very nice. Good use of fabric stash!
Very pretty skirt that I think you will get a lot of wear out of 🌻🍄
cute skirt, I like the tabs on the sides. Seems like your doing a good job of going thru your stash.
I love that Skirt.Beautiful fabric. I think it would be fun to make a maxi skirt with that pattern.
❤❤
great job. Enjoy your presentation
This is amazing!! Well done 🥰
Amazing! Congratz 🎉
Thank you!
YAY!!! 110.5 IS AN EXCELLENT end point. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Plus a no-buy!! Bonus Points!!
Thank you!
I love your dress. I had many like that in the late 80's and early 90's. I got married in 1994. My bridesmaids wore an almost identical dress but in burgundy colour and short sleeves.
Thank you! Very nice! ☺️
You don't have coffee? Hahaha. I love coffee❤ Your dress turned out beautiful!
Thank you! I ended up burgling some from my mother, I'm not a coffee kind of gal!
Hi Sarah V. Happy New Year! I'm new to your channel and I subscribed!❤ I also have a channel here called Zelda Sews and my channel focuses on all things related to sewing. Please stop by say hi and subscribe.❤
That is a lot of sewing.
You've done heaps of sewing this year. There used to be pins you could use on rap skirts to stop the from flying open in the wind. Since there are so many that need little tweaks maybe do a mending/ adjusting vlog. At least it will force you to fix them so you wear them and they are more comfy
I'll have to look into those pins!
WOW! What a productive year. Not that your worth is based on productivity, -- but nicely done!
Thank you!
Love your broaches, you have such great style Sarah!
Thank you! 😊
Hi Sarah, Debbie here again, just came over from watching your s9818 blouse. Will watch while getting to grips with sock knitting 🤪 Your dress turned out so well. Fit is lovely and the lace trim looks nice. x x
Thank you!
Adorable ❤-your wardrobe has really come together this year!! 🙌
Thank you!
I don't know, I kind of like the sped up time lapse when doing craft things.
I do too, it's easier for me, but it was too fast and it was hard to see anything but then it was too slow and there were blur lines. I film a lot of my time lapses in x5 because it's easier to make faster or slower at that speed than auto which tends to go way too fast.
I think everything turned out cute. I made a tree skirt from a panel many, many, years ago (over 30 years ago) and still using it. Have a Merry Christmas.
Thank you! I probably will be using mine for the rest of my life because I had to build up a lot of gumption to make this one, if I do make another it will be that poinsettia one!
Your ornaments are so cute 😍 great ideas
Thank you! 😊
I think the everything turned out looking really cute. The fact they might not be perfect is what makes them perfect. They will become family heirlooms and cherished
Thank you! 😊
That is a lovely ALDI Christmas sweater!😉
Thank you!
Hi Sarah! One of your videos popped up in my feed recently and I've been watching several of your projects. I love your content and I really love that you are sewing on a beautiful Singer 15! I have several vintage machines myself - love them. I've subscribed and will enjoy more of your content, I'm sure. P.S. I love the sweater you're wearing in this one!
Thank you! 😊 I love my 15-91, I actually have two!
I don't plan more than one item at a time. I might try making a list to see if I like more planning and less spontaneous sewing. I always finish the item I'm working on before starting another. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Sometimes I love planning more than seeing and sometimes I hate planning, too many choices or nothing feels right with the fabric I want to use, or I have a pattern I want to use but no good fabric options, sigh.
The blouse is ssoooo cute!!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful dress 😍💯👍
Thank you!
All of those patterns are so fun! I have to admit that I am slightly jealous of your collection, especially regarding the vintage ones. I'm excited for the videos coming up!! 🎄☃️
Wow, you did an amazing job! 🤩
Thank you!
I love hearing about your sewing plans, u always have super cute ideas! The Corduroy fabrics are so nice, but I'm loving that suiting. The bolero/skirt outfit will look amazing in that fabric. I don't think there's such a thing as too many skirts. Lol Sometimes jeans/slacks are more practical, but nothing makes me happier than wearing a full twirly skirt! ❤❤
Thank you!😊
Looks so comfortable!
It is indeed!
Very nice work
Thank you!
Fun sewing plans! I've been doing hand work for the past two month ms and haven't sewn a garment in that time. You've inspired me to figure out my next project. 🌻🍄
Thank you! 😊❤️
That berry fabric would make a great accent blouse, you could pair it with a red or green bottom (like the red skirt you plan on making) and have a perfect outfit. I love that tree skirt panel! We have different themes (I say we, it's me, my partner doesn't care) for our Christmas tree, you can have a fabulous Christmas tree all of the time or every other year. I love the idea of a sweater shirt!
Ooooo, a blouse would be nice!
I love that Berry fabric and think I would make it in a Gunne Sax tipe a dress with trim and ruffles. That '50s stile skirt & Bolero set is amazing. Love that. Love most 50's style drsses and skirts.
That would be very cute, although I don't know if I have the gumption to make a detailed dress like that right now, I didn't get around to making the gunne sax style dress I wanted to make last month sigh 😔
@@SarahVSewsVintage I think, or have noticed, that if you just take a normal fit & (not too big) flair pattern, you can easily turn it into a Gunne Sax style dress by adding one or two wide ruffles at the bottom and add lace in the seams of the bodice as well as between the skirt and the ruffle. If the front of the bodice is one piece you can quite easily divide it into three parts, add seam allowance and add your lace in those seams. The models often seem laborious to make, but in the end I think it's not too bad.
THe berry fabric could make the cutest dress. Then you could add the gingerbread men that's on the tree skirt as big big fancy pockets, sparkly red buttons (or berry buttons if you can find any), green collar and cuffs, green or red belt. Maybe some ricrac around the bottom too for extra fun. Love you ideas on what you plan to sew. Another idea. If you find another tree skirt you like, What about turning that into a skirt. You could add either another layer under it or stitched to the bottom because the skirt would be short. But it would be so fun for Christmas
Ooooo, those are all very tantalizing ideas! I absolutely love rick rack although I don't get enough opportunities to use it
Most cute! Love the print ❤
Thank you!
Love it 😍hope I can sew like that someday 😊
Thank you!
Adorable!!! 😍
Thank you!
Turned out so cute and looks so pretty on u! I sewed many a Laura ashley pattern in the 80s, and I still love that look❤ U can accessorize that dress is so many ways. Belts, necklaces, scarves, or dickies. Love me some options. Lol
Thank you! I absolutely love some of the Laura Ashley styles!😁
Turned out so cute, love the acorn print! I think adding the Xtra buttons on yoke was great idea. The brown belt is complimentary, but yep, an acorn adorned belt would be awesome. I enjoy your videos a bunch and look forward to your winter makes😊
Thank you! 😊
What a pretty pattern! And what an adorable print! Very nice 👌
Thank you! 😊
Lovely well done !
Thank you!
Your dress turned out beautifully!
Thank you!
I love that fabric. It turned out really lovely!
Thank you! 😊
I love this! I think this dress is giving big little house on the prairie fantasy vibes! I am currently rewatching it with my little girl because I was obsessed as a kid and she loves it! I was explaining to my husband why the late 70's and early 80's had a sudden surge of these prairie inspired dresses a week ago (because of the amazing Little House of the Prairie show) and how it was similar to the cottage core obsession during 2020, a fantastical return to a simpler life. I prefer it with the belt and yes you're right it is cuter with more buttons. I hope you get a lot of wear out of this!
Thank you! I've definitely thought about doing a watch through of Little House on the Prairie, I used to watch the reruns of it when I was younger and loved it!
@@SarahVSewsVintage if you have Amazon prime it's on there currently
Love what you did with the dress. Looks really good on you. The image on the pattern did give me flashbacks to the early 80s. Would be interesting to see what the dress would look like without any lace and maybe doing something different to the neck. Eg no collar or different shaped collar. Maybe v neck? Dress looks comfy and perfect for when you have a big meal
Thank you!
Is the fabric 100% cotton?
I am not 100% certain because I bought it at Fabricmart's storefront, I was also too lazy to burn a piece to get a better idea of what the fiber content was. It did certainly wrinkle like cotton though, and sewed like cotton!
Nicely done 😊
Thank you 😁
looks lovely!
Thank you!
