Perfect timing 😂
I recently picked up a GF4 myself, 5 speed, and I love it. The low end torque on these EJ22's are nice. Mine also had Raceland coilovers which were fine but I found some perfectly intact stock struts at my local junkyard that I much rather prefer on the car since it is my daily. That would be my best bet to find some or your local Subaru social media groups.
That’s awesome! I would love to have one with the 5 speed but it’s possible to swap in the future if the engine ever goes. And I have yet to go to the junk yards locally but I need to just to stock up on a few things like the struts. They would be much nicer for daily driving
Really tempted to try a pair myself. Looks killer, great video! 👍🔥💯
Thank you!! And I say they are worth it, definitely gives a modern look! So far no issues!
How’d you find such a pristine 2000 Impreza outback?! Man I’d love to find a 99 outback with no rust and low miles… I’ve thought about the Impreza outback but idk if my bed would fit in the back
I was lucky to find it in 2019 with low miles and minor rust and so for the last 5 years I’ve tried to stay on top of all that by replacing and fixing any issues lol. I’ve only seen one person put a bed in these but they removed the passenger seat if I’m not mistaken
I made my own vents with black corrugated plastic sheet, cut two big rectangles side by side (so there’s a piece in the middle to keep it sturdy) then used goop to glue on window screen. So much better airflow now with bigger vents… good in summertime with a fan clamped to my rear door handles. I need some rain guards now though
That sounds like a good idea! With these window vents (they stated on the website) I noticed it messed up the tint in some places so now I have a few scuffs so I’m going to adjust them next time I run them to make sure it doesn’t happen again
Tip for fog: cat litter in some kind of material like pantyhose or whatever
Damn that’s a sick Impreza outback! So clean 👍 I’ve been looking for these for my 99 outback because I sleep in my car and it sucks having to keep the windows rolled up in the rain, especially during summer
Thank you I appreciate it! And this definitely helps especially with rain and snow, sometimes the air fogs up the windows really bad and the defroster doesn’t help so if the windows are down slightly with the guards it makes a big difference
What Head unit are you using?
The head unit is the Pioneer MVH-300EX! Works well and fits very good!
@@AustinJenner Sick, thanks man!
What size are those wheels
They are 17x8 with a +35 offset! They rub slightly in the rear
Do they sell them with yellow lenses/bulbs or did you add yellow tint?
I added the yellow tint, the bulbs are the common led white with black housing
That look nice
Thank you!
The plane and the rocket was perfect timed
Sweet, def going to install this on my Forester. Thanks for the video
Awesome, happy to help!
98, same wagon. Custom paint with black vents, scoop, etc. Thinking about painting it all white like yours... Down to the door latches is detailed!
Nice! Sometimes the paint makes all the difference
What dash pods are those and are those gd window vents
The dash pods and gauges are from Glowshift and the window vents are Visual Autowerks, they fit the gc sedans and wagons!
Honestly people dont show the wagons enough love. My brother had a 9-2x aero and i used to have an 01 2.5 NA wagon. There arent a lot of wagons out there that deserve respect. Tha impreza is one that does.
For sure! I wasn’t a fan of wagons until I got my first one, then I realized how versatile they are. And those aero wagons were cool! Don’t see too many on the road anymore
Looks sick man! Congrats on the baby
Thanks man I really appreciate it!!
Which exhaust is this? I have a 2000 obs and my stock exhaust rusted out. Looking for a bolt on catback for it.
The exhaust I have is inferno fabrication headers, stock catalytic converter, then the catback is the Tsudo N1.
Does Subaru sell the factory foglights for the 1999 outback?
For the Outback models yes, as far as the 1999 Impreza Outback they don’t sell them anymore and they are hard to find. I have seen several sets floating around Facebook marketplace but it’s rare. I just did my own with the bumper I have, otherwise you can bumper swap with the 2.5rs and find most of the factory fog lights and parts through Subaru or aftermarket.
@@AustinJenner thanks will try to find some that fit
Clean ride!
Thank you!
@@AustinJenner do you plan on keeping her tall, or do you wanna tuck those wheels in? Cuz either way she’s so beautiful!
@ParkerBlank With the area I live in and the offset I have, I keep the rear up a little higher than the front so it doesn’t rub. I usually lower it when I switch to my winter wheels since they fit within the wheel wells lol but thanks!!
@@AustinJenner awesome! I watched your other shorts, and the intake is very loud! Both literally and figuratively lol
@@ParkerBlank Yes it can get obnoxious especially at highway speeds haha but I wouldn’t trade it for the world it has been an awesome car lol
Looking sharp 😎 glad it's all worked out for your, bro!
Appreciate it and thanks man me too 👌🏻
Last time I was in that whip it made me wet 💦🫦
No wonder it was a mess last time I cleaned it 😉
looks crazy good. Were they hard to get?
Dude my bad, TH-cam has been weird lately with my comments. Thankfully no, I had a good contact within the gf4 community that sent these over to me for a price I couldn’t beat. If you are interested there are some good people in the 1st Gen Outback Sport page on Facebook that can hook you up, hate that I was late on this cause you comment on most of my stuff lol! 😅
@ No worries man. and Sweet, i gotta get them for mine. They look great. But i’ll probably worry about getting a hood, headlights, and grille first. (i have a 96’ so none of the cool outback sport stuff your years have lol)
awesome gotta fix mine the lights and cold/hot dont work .also do u mind sharing where u bought that pod and radio upgrade link?
The gauge pod is from gloshift.com under the 93-2001 Impreza section and the head unit is from pioneer called MVH-300X and you can buy it at Amazon!
Can the windows go up all the way
No, the window vents take up about 3-4 inches of the window. Air flows into the vents on the road or sitting still but it doesn’t roll all the way up
Very nice love it man wagon is beautiful
Thank you!! Trying to keep it alive lol
I have that same car up here in mn. It’s almost completely rotted away. But I still put 25k a year on it going all over the country 😂
Dude that’s awesome, I want to take mine on a long trip but haven’t had the chance in a while! How far have you gone on a trip?? It’s a shame that rust is the main killer of these cars, I am planning on patching up my rocker panels this winter, they are starting to go 😂
Minnesota to Florida. I got it for free at a 104k. The previous owner never changed the timing belt and snapped. I pulled it apart and only one valve was bent. Slapped it back together and has been my beater commuter for 6 yrs now, never letting me down. Only reason I messed with it was the low miles and 5 speed.
@@joshuanewer5254 Wow that’s awesome! I recently did my timing belt at 149k to be on the safe side. But having a manual and getting that many miles seems like it was a good choice!
My mistake on the prices, they were $35 but I had credit on Amazon and they were only $10 💀
Looks like a solid product for $9-$10. Looks good!
I gotta correct that but thanks fam
Love the car and the light #subiegang
Thanks man, appreciate it! #subiegang4life!
Hey bro! I got some unpainted black side skirts from my old GF8 if youre interested. I can give you a deal
Those are definitely something I have been wanting to finish this car out, I have to touch up the rocker panels a little bit before doing anything with them. How much were you thinking? I have found several sets on eBay but the shipping is what stops me lol
Do you rub at all with the avid wheels??
Yes, only in the rear so I have the coilovers adjusted to where it won’t rub
@@AustinJennerthanks bro
No problem!
Not sure why the caption didn’t save but this was Wallace Tower Section J Seat 20!
Where did you get those rear window vents?
They are from a place called Visual Autowerks, the vents fit the 93-01 Impreza sedans and wagons. They make them with or without the mesh, I’ve got the mesh inserts and so far haven’t had any issues with leaks or rain coming in!
Wow this is interesting. I have the same car, same color, 2008 model year. All stock, runs great on mostly original equipment, coming up on 180k now. Owned for almost a year now. Needs rear struts, steering rack. ECU flashed to stock tune (just in case) when I bought it. Will look out for intercooler gasket issue. So far, so good with my experience.
Awesome, I definitely miss having one of these cars. When it ran good it was a very enjoyable experience, I just hate that I let it go before figuring it out lol
Wow! Great video bruv, very helpful with my car!
That’s what I’m here for Doof! Appreciate the comment and like!
My graphics are high but my pc Not Leg bro pc ........
Great timing. I have to pull door panels tomorrow and this will save me from poking around to figure it out myself. Thanks
Glad I could help, good luck!
Nice IOS!

Only the finest of water!
Man I love your car! I have the 2000 Impreza L wagon…Do you know if they share the same parts?
Appreciate that for real! And I believe so, the only difference would be the trim in the car. If you have the 2.2 engine then it should be the same
😂 I have that same car. It’s my winter beater for the five years
This was going to be mine until my daily had some issues then this took over lol
I had so much fun and it was nice to meet you in person
I had fun as well and it was awesome to meet you Rocky! Good luck with your Impreza build and let me know if you have any questions!!
The best antique at the show.
Much love 🫡
No more sex in the car
Wild 😂
These things are bussin
Took rolling the windows down to a whole new level
Where did you get these?
VisualAutowerks.com
One of these days Im gonna try and do this mod on my outback. I have the compass pack in mine currently but I want to retro fit guages in it like the oem Lamco guage pack
That would be awesome, I had debated changing mine over to the compass pack, one recently became available for a good price but I decided to finally complete the look of the Glowshift gauges lol
Those glaciers need to be lifted, for sure, and a roll bar would be advised, I have one I'm looking forward to it's needed upgrades.
Thanks for the comment, since doing this DIY there have been more suspension upgrades out there that help stabilize it but this was free and fun to mess with!
