Grenada is a great first one. The resort is one of the coziest Sandals resorts, less walking to get anywhere, and you wont get overwhelmed.

@mattbriguglio5642 Yeah you will love the beach at Turks and Caicos!!! You can snorkel for free at Beaches Resort just to the left about 10-15 min walk down the beach. :). Have a great vacation !!! :)

One beach area is no swimming. The other beach area to the right is down a canal of sorts and has a dock the kind of outlines the entire swimming area and separates it from the boat traffic going in and out of the marina. The Dive training spot is right there, but for snorkeling I would do the Sandals free snorkeling boat.

Yeah the roads in Jamaica are an adventure for sure. I have had the power come and go at a few places in Jamaica, but Sandals has generators that kick on, so if the islands power goes out you are usually covered.

There are shuttles also by the main entrances to the different areas at Beaches Turks and Caicos. There is also a cute train for the kids too. So yes, there are golf carts that will get you from main area to main area. :)

What is an average tip for this?

I have some guidelines in the Sandals Butler video, but it's really up to you. :)

There is a bunch going on. Lots of people by the main pools but not too many so it does not feel crowded. There are also loads of lounge chairs on the beach that later in the day will have more people around.

At Sandals Curacao the service was some of the best service I have had at any resort anywhere in the World. It was top notch at Sandals Curacoa. Sandals Barbados / Sandals Royal Barbados I had service that was fantastic but I also ran into people on staff at both Sandals Barbados Resorts that should never be in the hospitality industry. If you have bad service at Sandals Barbados resorts you need to set up a meeting with the GM. If you are booked with us at Pixie Vacations, we know the staff and managers at all the Sandals resorts and will get any concerns addressed with the correct people onsite. I would say Barbados overall as an island seems to have this vibe from some people that they just want to do the bare minimum. I guess this is in every country but it seemed more prevalent to me on this island with just some people at the airport, or shopping, etc. It might have been just my luck that I ran into people that were having a bad day at times, because there are loads of people that come back year after year. I would just be aware.

But overall Sandals Barbados is good ?

Hey @Terrythomas2798 I was just there recently. Be sure to watch my Sandals Barbados video too. I loved it but if you read the comments on that youtube video you will see that some people had not great service. The resort is stunning at both Sandals Barbados properties and they literally are 6 feet apart so that's very nice. You get two resorts in one. :)

Same amazing night time sounds in Barbados as in Jamaica. Yeah that sound is magical. The frogs I have in GA scream at me, not the same at all :)

Island Routes does have tours. They were not set up when I was there for the opening but I am sure they have all sorts of off property tours you can book now. :)

Oh No, I'm so sorry Sandals Emerald Bay is closing, but if you like Beaches Resort it should be amazing when it re-opens as Beaches Exuma.

That's so good to hear about Sandals Royal Bahamian and Sandals Grande Antigua :). Yeah a great butler can make life long memories. We had a great butler at Beaches Turks and Caicos and my kids are so spoiled now :)

The one gets to drink if they want to (age 18 to drink) Sandals Barbados. I might have them each plan a day of your stay to get them involved with the pre-vacation planning. Maybe they get to pick that days events (Island Routes Excursion) or beach day, snorkeling, select your dinner spot, etc. :)

Hi, @speedyninetyone. Yeah you could just mention you will take care of them at the end. I just never have worried about it and I think most people tip one amount at the end of their stay. I know they work as a team so I just hand the one butler that sees us out on the last day the full tip for the butler team. :)

I'm an Emerald member and just got my free week. We've always had butlers. I rather like being escorted to dinner. We tend to have lovely, lively conversations on the way. Not to mention they get your first cocktail straight away 😊 As far as tipping. I bring cards with me. We tip at the end and I don't say to them at the beginning, " hey, we tip at the end". I have never had subpar service by tipping at the end with no warning. The day before departure however, I do take note of their schedule. So if the day of our departure, one of them has the day off or we won't see them because of our "eviction", I'll give them their tip the last time we see them. I've never had them unpack for us. I did have our butler press my husband's shirt the day of our vows renewal. That was the only time I've used that service. My husband requested a special in room dinner and they did that. We also make a point to connect with our butlers. We ask about their families and their life outside of Sandals. We do that day 1 and continue to do so. I've learned so much about whatever country we are in this way. I agree Plantation is so under rated and their butlers are the best of the best. The trio we had at Barbados was nowhere near the same experience but they also had, in my opinion, too many couples to look after. Grenada was excellent and head to Dunns in December so fingers crossed. Also, I have never not had my butler requests (done on the app) not fulfilled. Great information you have given for those trying out butler service for the first time.

I feel like Sandals and Beaches is such a great option for a destination wedding and so many people don't understand how within reach it is. :)

That's awesome @briangrasso5174. Let me know what you think on Royal Barbados. I am heading to Sandals Curacao to make a video in about a week or so, so watch for that one soon. :). Yeah the short drives are nice. I also died on the two hour plus drive back from Sandals South Coast after drinking so much at breakfast (Smoothies, coffee, water) and then no stops on the bumpy ride to the airport. :)

@@GrizAllInclusive We went to Curacao last November. Infiniti pools are great and as usual made a lot of new friends. We are actually going to Royal Barbados with a couple we met at Curacao. Grenada was our best Sandals but I really think Royal Barbados is going to top it from the videos we are watching.

Love the Saint Lucia one but the 2 hour ride from the airport is horrible. Look into taking the helicopter which is only a 10-15 flight. We had friends that did it and it’s well worth the extra $150.

@@briangrasso5174 thanks for the reply brian me and my wife are here now. We absolutely love it and Barbados is such a beautiful island. Everybody is so nice. I don’t have any other status so I can base that off the other resorts but I think you will have a great time here.

Visit and book another trip while you are there, it’s cheaper booking on a Sandals property and you can always postpone it. We are meeting friends in Barbados we made from our last trip at Sandals Curacao. Have fun buddy!!

@@GrizAllInclusive we stayed in a one bedroom garden butler suite with media room. With butler service we were able to use the boat transfer from the airport which was great.
