Car looks great. I rarely see a 62 Ford anything at a car show, and almost never 4 doors. I have 4 door 64 galaxie and have taken it to quite a few shows and never seen another one like it in person, seen plenty of 2 doors though. Funny, I have a 2 door 64 500XL and the 4 door gets way more people asking about it and it's not as nice of a car either.

My first car was a 62 Galaxie 500 with a 352 and 3 on the tree manual steering and brakes, it was a freeway crash survivor 2 door hardtop, with half a grill and 1 headlight on the right side. It was a fun car for an 18 year old going to college.

People discard the 352. Because they don't know. It has a thick cylinder wall casting. Easily converted into 410 . That runs hard & kicks ass.. FoMoCo..

61& 62 Galaxie are the best. Don't get the respect they deserve. 61 starliner is absolutely beautiful..

Ugly.

I Installed one in my '64 Galaxie. Instructions have you hook it straight to ignition. Not that big of a deal since the car is not driven daily, but It be nice to have it switched when key is turned to "on" as it is hooked up now, the light blinks when key is turned to accessory position.

A beauty.Loved the '64 even more.

Very nice collection of 1962 Ford Galaxie adds and art....my eldest son has a beautiful dark blue metallic 62 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door club coupe ....it had a 390 in it originally , but now has a 63 427 with dual carburetors ,that is a original build from Holman and Moody and Stroppe ......it takes race gas to run it properly, and it has a 4 speed transmission and no power accessories , and it has very nice and authoritive exhaust note , and makes a lot of power .We have always thought that the 1961 through 1964 Ford Galaxies were such beautiful automobiles ...especially compared to today's cars , that to us, all look like eggs on wheels .....with astronomical prices !. We would rather be in the 1962 Galaxie.....keep up the collecting , as your collection is fabulous .
