Get some 2Toms anti chafing roll-on. It will prevent blisters, thigh rub, and boob chafing. You’ve got this!

I find it very surprising that you ran for 1h50m. The distance is respectable but the amount of time under stress on your feet pushing... That was amazing. This is the amount of time running I aim for on my big runs. Best of luck

One suggestion is to find a rougher path surface than concrete or tarmacadam/asphalt. Landing on a gravel-like surface allows mild rotation you won't even observe but it is more forgiving to all of your bones south of your knees.

I applaud your decision to do something about your changing your life in a positive manner. As someone who also decided to lose weight and get fitter through running, please allow me to offer some advice which would probably have prevented me spending about half of my first year as a runner actually not running due to injury. Until you lose a bit more weight, please don't push yourself too hard in terms of distance. It takes several months for your body to adapt to running and until it does you can easily injure yourself. You may want to consider alternating 1km run and 1km walking, or alternatively keep your runs a bit shorter, perhaps 5km would be better for the first few months then build up slowly. Give yourself a recovery day after every run day, at least for the first six months. Get yourself some technical clothing. It doesn't have to be expensive brand name stuff, but proper running clothes will keep you more comfortable and help to reduce the risk of chaffing. By all means reward yourself with something after your runs but don't undo all the hard work you've just done! The diet is sooo important in this - keep it up! I loved your video and your energy. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the insight and the encouragement! I have been running since 2023 but I cannot stress enough about the injuries that could come, you’re so right! An injury will create a bigger setback than building up slowly. I have been taking a lot more rest days with the increase of my activities so thank you for that recommendation too. In regards to clothing, I cannot afford to buy much and I buy cheap items at clearance stores. I hear you about not getting branded clothing but it’s super difficult for me to buy any clothes. You’re so right about reducing chaffing through better clothes though. And a big 💯 to your comment about diet! I’m still improving this as it has always been my relationship with food that has stopped me before. I really appreciate you and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!

I’m at my goal weight but that fluctuates and often because I’m a dopamine-seeking ADHD-er with one hell of a Luteal week every month and, well..sometimes I forget when my body simply requires more. More calories. More movement. More sleep. More carbs vs. more protein. I require a lot of movement. I binge every so often, more during some seasons than others or simply if I’m not paying attention and forget the bottomless pit that running causes me to become lol. I just give myself grace. I think you should too, friend. It’s a dance, I feel like. Just keep moving and you should be fine :)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! This was actually really insightful for me as I try to become more in tune with my body. I most definitely would have times where I’m also more susceptible to binging than other ‘seasons’. I love the way you spoke of that. That this is a dance, and we will keep moving back and forward. That is so beautiful. Thank you for that!

Hey I just watched your 10k run and now found this video, and I was contemplating whether or not to comment on the other video but now that I see this video I just want to say: keep going, whatever you’re doing , how many times you might fall back, it’s the ability to stand up again that’s the most important thing, and with time you’ll be able to stand up quicker and better and maybe eventually not fall back as often anymore but for now, don’t be too hard on yourself and just continue to show up for yourself. You can be very proud of yourself for what you’ve already accomplished and just keep in mind what other great things you can accomplish in the future and let that be your primal motivation. Oh and also don’t compare yourself to others , only to the person you were yesterday and who you want to be today and tomorrow. Step by step . I know this might be off topic a bit but I guess this can apply to anything in life , so hopefully to the people maybe reading this , just please never ever give up on yourself , you are worth it!

Your journey resonates with me so much. If it can help, I truly believe there's no track, no wagon. This is life and food is a huge part of it, there's no black and white. You binge ate. That's just a fact, neutral, simple and real - just like every other good and nourishing thing that you do for yourself. Those are facts too, aren't they? Do those multiple things get wiped off by that one other thing? They don't. You can binge eat and still decide that it carries no shame, no guilt. It's an inherent coping mechanism (that for me is "triggered" by anxiety and stress, it's always been my pressure regulating valve) and that is just another neutral, simple and real fact that you are capable of facing. Working on mental health is the most important thing, but it's not overnight magic. It takes time. You're doing your best and it shows and that itself has value. Girl, you're already going to the gym, swimming, etc. You're doing something that many of us can't bring ourselves to do, so be proud of everything you're doing for yourself!

I’m not lying, I screenshotted this and it is going to sit in my phone notes to remind myself. You said it so perfectly. I did binge eat. But I’m also in week 5 and have pushed past that time. I need to give myself credit because the girl before this journey would’ve already given up. I hope you stay around on my journey because you truly said the thing that I needed. I appreciate you 🫶🏼

the joy i got when you high-fived that person! tbh i would be too nervous but that made me so happy! i've only run a 10k once and that was like over 2 years ago lol but i'm trying to build up running again, and hopefully go further with it. watching you run gave me so much happiness. i love the energy and attitude you kept the whole time, plus how real you are (i laughed so much!). i also love to see the support from your friends as well, so sweet! i am not sure if you know the brand, but i really like wearing shefit sports bras as their adjustable high impact sports bra is the only sports bra i've worn that i didn't jiggle or feel pain from my chest bouncing around while exercising (I'm a DD cup), so i would suggest checking them out if you haven't already! good luck to you on your journey and your upcoming half-marathon! you're awesome!! :))

Amazing work! And very brave of you to share your splits too (the internet is so horid to slower folks). I wasn't brave enough to run at your size, I used AquaFit and swimming to cut down for a year before I started. My big recommendation for you would be to try the ShockAbsorber racer back sports bra (from Champion), get fitted for a regular bra and buy the same size in that... it will be EXTREMELY tight but you'll have more belly wobble than boob wabble (tight, high waisted leggings can help with that, if it bothers you). Most brands lie about the support level of the bras they offer, and don't even make their products out of sweat wicking materials - two bras increases chaffe, weight and sweat so I really would avoid it as much as possible.

    • @victoweyaphysical

Thank you so much for your support and your recommendation for a bra! I tried searching for the specific bra from champion but it doesn’t look like they have my size that ships to New Zealand. I’ll keep checking. Regardless, I’m grateful for your comment!

ive been serious about diet and exercise for a while, and bingeing is a part of life. it isnt how you eat sometimes, it's how you eat most of the time. keto is hard because it sucks to be fussy, but after a while you feel so disgusting when you binge your way out of keto that it kinda sucks you back in. after long enough abstinence from the slop it loses it's alure. i ate kfc not long ago and that garbage is poison. even if you shift your goals later because there's nothing wrong with being chubby, at least stick to better diet. screw eating petrochemicals and seed oils.
