We as Catholics adore Mary. Mary is our MOTHER the mother of God.

If your'e an anti-Catholic bigot you use the excuse that Catholics pray to statue's and worship the Blessed Virgin Mary the MOTHER of Jesus, Catholics pray to Our Lady asking her to intercede with her son for us, and we pray to the saint that the statue represents to intercede for our request, bigots need a reason to justify hatred, and I would remind them it's not a good idea to blaspheme the mother of Jesus.

You can ask your friends to pray for you, then why can you not ask the Mother of Jesus to pray for you?

Many christians do not know that Mary is the mediator (mediatrix) to the heart of Jesus. We as Catholics don't worship Mary as a God. But she is the mother of God and she has special grace's for us to bring us closer to the heart of Jesus. Did you remember what Jesus Christ said when he hung on the cross? Behold your mother. He gave Mary as our mother. There is so many misunderstanding in this topic. Only human will distorts the truth of the Divine Will and the lack of understanding. So to demonize Mary is blasphemy against the Son. Because to denying the mother you deny Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. Amen. Especially after being taught that I could go to Hell if I died with a mortal sin or hearing priest pray for dead people's souls to be "acceptable" to God. That doctrine lessens the whole point of why Christ came to earth! Sorry my Brother-in-Christ. Don't be misled into twisting the meaning of words to suit Catholic dogma. ONLY God, the Son and the Holy Spirit deserve all our adoration, praise and worship! Not Mary, not Moses, not the Apostle Paul, not even Angels deserve such adoration, praise and worship.
