Hey there! Welcome to my channel. You'll find a variety of train related videos from model railroading to railfanning in the GTA (greater Toronto area). I use a sony a7iii, Nikon d80, iphone XR/13 to record videos and edit them on a 12 inch macbook with iMovie (lol). Please hit the subscribe button and like the videos and turn notifications on so you don't miss any of my new uploads!
Intermountain ET44AC Unboxing/Review
Well it's been a while. I apologize for the lack of content coming out throughout the summer as I've been so busy railfanning and travelling. I've moved most my content to ontariorail12 so I highly recommend checking out my page. I'm slowly cutting back on videos and focusing more on photography. There's also a lot of modeling updates posted there too. In this video I'll be reviewing an intermountain ET44AC. Keep in mind that this is not how the engine comes. I’ve weathered the engine. I purchased this model at the Woodstock train show for $170. This model is equiped with an ESU decoder. Thanks for watching!

Layout update 9 - new engines, weathering, LRC project and ballast

These couple months on the layout include a few new engines and some re-done scenery, including the ballast on the mainlines. Got some new CN engines for the roster and some new projects on the way. Thanks for watching!
Ho Scale Locomotive LIGHT Weathering Tutorial
มุมมอง 617ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video I'll be going over how to lightly weather an athearn genesis KCS SD70ACE. This is just a light weathering process to the underframe and the trucks of the engine. You can build onto this weathering by adding more details like pano-lining and using powders for vents and other areas. I used only 2 paints (smoke black, grey brown) (black works too however my paint shop was sold out...
Ho Scale Dash 9 Open Cab Door
มุมมอง 819ปีที่แล้ว
This was a quick but fun video to make. In this video, you'll see how to open up a cab door on an athearn rtr CN c44-9w. I know this method works on the CN ones since the prototype's don't have a window on the door however this may not work on another railroad such as BNSF or UP. I'm not sure yet im not certain. It's not my responsibility if you damage your model during the process of this. Tha...
Winter CN Action At Scotch Block
มุมมอง 203ปีที่แล้ว
A few weeks ago I went out to shoot scotch block for the first time. I've always wanted to see some freights go by and sure I did. Over the course of a few hours, quite a few trains showed up. Final 2 clips I hit Norval on the way back. Thanks for watching!
Layout update 8 - new engines and locomotive maintenance facility
มุมมอง 3Kปีที่แล้ว
It's time for another layout update! I apologize if this video seems a bit rushed and slightly disorganized because it was. I filmed this in an hour with 0 planning at all. Oh well. Over the course january and february I've welcomed a few new locomotives to the roster and completed several weathering and graffiti projects as shown. I will have a follow up video on the build and assembly of the ...
CSX! ACU Lead! CP 134 At Bartlett
มุมมอง 176ปีที่แล้ว
Quickly rushed down to Bartlett with a friend of mine and timed it perfectly with 134 puling up to the spot minutes later. I had known about 7000 lead and thought it was solo but there was an unknown engine move behind it with a csx.
Ho Scale Locomotive Maintenance Facility
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
While on my trip to Alberta, I came across the pikestuff engine house for a reasonable price at Hobby Tech in Calgary. This is what got me started on this engine facility and this video will show the progression and expansion of it. I did mention that I had flood lights coming in from ebay which would take around 20 days but they actually came in much faster than expected and will be shown in t...
CP Rail Trains At Banff Station
มุมมอง 348ปีที่แล้ว
Upon arrival on the first day into town, we checked out a couple spots one of which being banff station. We saw some deer and then went back to the car about to leave when I saw the signal light up. Couple minutes later eastbound mixed freight showed up. Last day in Banff we checked out the station and stayed a bit for a Westbound container train with a mid and rear dpu.
Winter CN and Via Rail Action At Lovekin
มุมมอง 154ปีที่แล้ว
Went back out to lovekin and Clarke for a railfanning day with a good friend of mine. Caught many trains and had a great day with CN 305 with the thundercab sd70m-2 being the highlight.
Horn Salute! SD70ACU Rear Dpu! CP Unit Grain | Morants Curve
มุมมอง 107ปีที่แล้ว
A weekend trip to Alberta had to include some railfanning However CP traffic came to crawl with only 2 trains heard and seen along the highway between 11am and 6pm. Just as we were about to leave Morants Curve for banff the scanner lit up with a train on the approach not too far away. Here's the first proper catch of the trip.

It also Bought 98 Additonal Units from UP numbering 2000-2098. Some are originally former CNW's
Very awesome 😊
I have bought worse rolling stock from British manufacturers at a much higher price. Your comment about Aliexpress being "super sketchy" is uncalled for. If you had a problem (which according to this video you did not) with an item, then blame the seller not Aliexpress and send it back to claim your refund. I honestly found very little wrong with all the stuff you bought. Derailments are very common, even with other brand stock from different countries and their selling platforms. Maybe you should reconsider your biased comment. I am a frequent buyer from Aliexpress and whenever I had an issue with anything I bought there, I opened a claim and was refunded, and I have had the same experience on other European and US/CA platforms.
How can you model CN without some DM&IR locomotive 😂
Good job on your kits nice locomotive s
I saw 915 in Toronto a few months ago, and I was impressed that there were still P42s on VIA that still had the old livery.
Great awesome catch catching this heritage unit on this train
In Concord NH, these guys are still extremely common. I just chased a light one on Thursday
1:42 so nice to see GP40-2W in 1874.
Is the engine DC or DCC
Dcc now
@@ontariorail1251 So you converted it to DCC correct?
@@jpfranco2258 yes and swapped the cab for a kaslo one
Cool Model, but I sure don't understand how one does a "review" of a weathered and used model. I don't think it's possible. Now giving your opinion about a used model and what the original owner did to the model might be ok, there's just no way to do a review. To come close to even being fair, the model has to be brand new in box, and untouched by anyone else.
I remember going to George’s trains in around 2015 and that CSX unit was in fact there
Awesome catch, I just saw 4652 on a manifest about an hour ago
I never new CN had 100 CN SD75i's! Nice model!
they dont lol. was an innacurate model someone custom made
@@ontariorail1251 still looks epic

The EMD GP40-2LW looks like the EMD F45 and the EMD GP40-2 had a child.
Yo as a person from Ontario I love your trains! Build my first layout December!
thanks. Check the instagram for more content as i've sort of become inactive on youtube
Magnificent catches of the model train coming by and pass, I like it 5 stars, keep up the great work, my friend, I subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Hey man, absolutely love the layout. Just wondering, do you use static grass? I think it would really elevate the scenery.
I’ve used static grass before on some spots. The scene in their switch was from over a year ago and the layout now looks way different. Should probably get another update out
What bridge are you filming from for the overhead shots? Is it a pedestrian bridge or street bridge? Great angle on the trains! Thanks!
Bathurst street bridge

Next time go across the street to Rapido HQ!!!
Hi do you have any Athearn Genesis Dash 9's? If so, how do you like them?
Nope don’t have any. I have kato custom kits for the dash 9’s

Love the BN one im going to be going to a train show soon going to keep an eye out for these
Great video! That CP ex D&H 7307 was on what was once my local line. I couldn’t help but notice.
Interesting project and quite funny as I happen to have completed a switch carrying flatcar too recently. Mine is CP's version (CP 421885). Apparently this car caused a major derailment as you may find from this report: www.tsb.gc.ca/eng/rapports-reports/rail/2018/r18d0069/r18d0069.pdf I will post a video of it soon.
Video I am talking about is here: ( car appears @ 3:06 / 5:03 / and 5:53) th-cam.com/video/eOeuk0mJIzY/w-d-xo.html
Nice project. I also like the vintage livery weathered Saskatchewan cylindrical hopper :)
Nice!!!
Great Catches
Very nice catches! Gotta love the Scotch Block Searchlights
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though I don't believe mine will be quite as large (or detailed) as yours.
Awesome. Hope it goes to plan!
Hey cool! Is that a custom, or who made 8520? I can’t say I’ve ever seen one!

I have a Scaletrains operator Norfolk southern and the ditch lights don’t flash . Did u go in the Cv,s to get urs to flash. I contacted Scaletrains and they said only the Rivit counter flashes.
All operators come stock with flashing ditches
The now gone SD40s would be a great series to do. They were once masters of the CN, and for 30 years
Hi I have the operator Norfolk Southern Es44 and my ditch lights don’t flash when I hit the horn.
Odd… it should have the flashing ditch lights
Great job
Cool video and channel just subscribed
nice weathering and weathering video 👍
Do you worry about paint on the wheel treads?? I do like the look of the weathering.
paint on the wheels where it makes contact with the rails can be easily wiped off with a cloth and some alcohol
Nice job and great song.

Hi bro nice to meet you l can't ask you buy all how much price because I like train model thanks you
What are you trying to ask? Price of locomotives?
@@ontariorail1251 yes locomotives how much price
