Using this channel to share my go kart racing adventures. I have installed a Lavalier microphone in the chin of my helmet so that I can commentate my thoughts out loud while driving. My hope is to use this as a tool for improving my driving and to educate/entertain any viewers. Racing footage is captured with a GoPro Hero 8.

Had a blast driving! Tons of grip and decent power! Shifting with my left hand was a bit awkward as you'll see in the video. Felt like that distracted me from putting in a smooth lap. Weird driving at speed on the right side of a car too. Kind of hard to know where the car is in space because I'm not used to a right hand drive perspective.

@@red01Mustang just started a couple months ago. You on iRacing too? Me and some of the guys from my 24 Hours of NOLA team are running a 12 hour endurance race this Saturday at this track in the video.
@@chesterguidry yea I have been running for about a year but I haven’t raced in a few months. Steve and I did a 6 hour Nürburgring race back in February

Why would being a manual stop you from coming? Its a V8 Supercars experience... of which are manual cars?
nice video man! If you don't mind a few questions from a Simracer local to this track. How much does entry in these rent-a-kart races usually run? Also I am 250 ib, would that slow my speed in these?
League events used to be around $85 which would cover a practice session, two heats, and a final race. Weight can be a hindrance but not as bad as you think. I’ve seen heavy guys kick some butt out there. Sometimes the added weights makes the kart handle better
Love the channel. Been to Nola once and loved it. I’ve been trying to find out when league starts up for 2023. Would you happen to know any info on that? Thank brother and keep up the great videos.
NOLA hasn’t made any announcements about a 2023 league. Not sure what their plans are, but they have finally started back up with a sprint series with Karting The Coast. Thanks for supporting the channel!
