Growing Angel Wings from Cuttings Part 2: A Follow-up.
Thanks for joining me in the happy place garden. In today’s video, I am doing a follow-up with how my Angel Wings propagation experiment worked. Angel Wings or Senecio Candicans is a beautiful plant that provides the silver foliage I love. I wintered over my plant from last year and took cuttings to root to propagate more plants.

Welcome to The Happy Place Garden in Snohomish Washington zone 8a. I am Melinda, a self taught gardener, my husband Derrick and I have been developing our 5 acre property ourselves. There wasn’t much here when we bought our home other than some large evergreen trees, stumps and tons and tons of blackberries. We have been working on the garden around the house, what we affectionately call the “pond project”, since 2010. I hope you enjoy watching how the project continues to evolve. It is a labor of love we do ourselves and in our spare time. We both work and have a young son MacGregor so it is definitely not a perfect garden but it is our garden 🍃💗

    Yes!! I have a HUGEEE raspberry bush. Like 10 feet by 10 feet lol. It’s about that time to pick them! I live near Boston and they grow sooo well here. We don’t have any sort of netting or whatever, we just let it grow how it wants to grow. After a few years it kinda slowed down its expanding and only grows a few inches outwards a year now.

I am probably late to treat it but will buy and try to spray it. Do you know if it is safe to anual flowers and kids if it goes to contact when I spray them it may spread? them too.

    • @thehappyplacegarden
      @thehappyplacegarden 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the plant is in flower, spray after sundown to avoid spraying our pollinating friends. Try to avoid spraying the flowers and focus on the leaves. The beetles have a life cycle and if you stay ahead of it next year your plant should do well.

    Do you have an updated video on this as to how it has turned out? I've seen people say they do a whole bunch of the stuff in an hour even with an electric biscuit cutter first and I'm like no way. The patches they have showed might take them a couple of weeks to do and then to put root killer on every route that they trim back? That takes a long time. That's a lot of work. I just want people to be honest about how hard this is and how long it takes. Nice that you showed that you were actually working hard on this and you stated it's hard work.

    I’ve watched so many videos but found your’s to be very helpful to my situation. It was incredibly informative for an absolute novice that is going to tackle a huge overgrown juniper shrub. I had the same issue with deadwood, die back, and using a hedge trimmer in the past that caused more harm than good.
