I need an update because my hair is damaged at the roots as well.

Very high gpa LOL 2.9 is still high. Im applying to dental school this cycle with my undergrad gpa of 2.3

I know this is an old video; however I’m curious if your hair ever recovered from the heat damage?

You should probably use the whole line of products you’re using only 2 steps of an 8 step’s treatment line and saying “it’s not working” the products are designed to be used together try steps 0-7!!!! Then give a review after your 3 rd treatment 😉

I think the reason why you do not see the difference because you are mixing other products. My stylist use 3, 4, 5. If you have curly hair include 0. She uses TGIN Miracle Repairx Deep Hydrating Hair Masque to balance out the protein-based products. Make sure you follow the directions.

The problem is that it isn’t going to work with just one treatment. It will take several treatments over time to repair the damage. The reality is yes - you’re going to have to trim off the breakage little by little and gray your hair with TLC. But olaplex does help when used over the course of time

Nice and very personable video. My son just started the dental school at USC. He has had a bit of a tough time getting into the groove of the program but he will get there. We talk a lot and that seems to help. His Grandfather was born and raised in the area and I was raised east of Los Angeles. Any advice for the first year students? I’m not sure if I heard you correctly, but in the video I thought I heard you say you shampooed your hair, then used the treatment, and then styled. On the bottle it states to shampoo and condition your hair after the treatment. It is important to wash out products that do not say “leave in”. I hope you didn’t damage your hair if you didn’t wash it out 🤞🏻. Sometimes I wash, then apply, then wash and condition my hair if I feel it needs a wash first. Hope everything turned out, and wish you the best ❤️

I mean your curls look great… I heard Olaplex is not a protein treatment, it helps repair the bonds… but I think you need a protein treatment. You need a stronger protein treatment for sure.

The first time I saw a difference was when I left it overnight. Maybe you should try that

If nothing else works just buy perm/flexi rods the size of your curl pattern and blend it in with the rest of your hair until you can grow it out. The heat setting on your flat iron must have been so high at the root it burned the 'elasticity' out of your hair. If you're not willing to constantly use rods or rollers then go to the salon to have a curly perm to correct the issue on those problem areas. Good luck!

olaplex is not going to fix your curl pattern, it simply strengthens weakened hair from literally breaking off! im so sorry that you are dealing with this though, I hope things got better with time!

You have to follow directions in order to get results. Maybe you should go to a salon and stop trying to self diagnose your problem! Olaplex is not a protein treatment or a conditioner!!! Also you may want to turn down the heat. Try 280-360*f range… careful going higher and work in smaller sections, one pass!!!!

i don‘t know if you all don‘t undrfstand that with this other product there are things in it that is not good for the hair on long terme. it has silicone and keratin in it what looks amazing right after but its not good for the hair. olaplex is for repair its not a normal mask or conditioner

Patience and persistence is key. Give it time and try to be positive. I love wearing my hair straight but don't care for the stress of making sure its reverting back. For a week of straight hair I might just invest in a wig when I get that itch. Love and light, your hair will revert back. 🙏🏽
