I went ahead and got one. It's my first civilian ballistic helmet, and I like it quite a bit. Fits way better to my head and is far more comfortable to the helmets I've used before. Also very light, to my surprise. Price was around $550, so almost half the price of Team Wendy or OpsCore ballistic helmets. I have no complaints as of yet.

These aren’t from the 90’s. They were introduced in 2002, and didn’t become prevalent until 2004. Eagle had a “Rhodesian” in the late 90’s that had sewn on pouches, it wasn’t one of these. I adore mine, but people tend to assign more prevalence to these than they had. They were relevant for a few short years, then disappeared as lighter and slicker plate carriers became available.

Obviously you've never been overseas. M4 mags, M1A mags built with light gauge metal the ears are prone to bend or flattened very easily. From dropping or throwing that's where you get your malfunctions to feed. The P-mags, such as plastic bags a great but will chip. Get a dump pouch don't throw your mags 😡
