I was in the bus nº 60 when I suddenly saw Saint Conus get in so I turned the camera on, and filmed as best as I could. Shot in Montevideo, Uruguay, where the sighting took place.

Sviatoslav Richter (1915-1997) plays Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). Recorded on the 28th of March, 1978 at the Moscow Conservatory. Program: 1. Introduction (00:00 - 06:30) 2. Movement 1 of J. S. 1st uploaded film. Poe's story, The Cask of Amontillado. Being about a vengeance between old friends. Made with the worst camcorder in the world. I directed it and "adapted" it to our century, of course, because I couldn't make a catacomb on my own! The actors are close friends of mine, and we did this because it was going to be shown at school, which eventually didn't. Made on September 2006.
So many played those times are now no more RIP to those great souls 😪😪😪 🪦🪦🪦🪦⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️.
Richter's WTB bk1 is truly great. The b- prelude and fugue is divine and brilliantly interpreted. We all know his Rach 2 is the gold standard by which all others are measured.

Diese russische Edition vermittelt eine blendende Live-Atmosphäre aus dem Moskauer Konzerttempel. Richter und "sein" ganzes (Solisten-) Ensemble (Oleg Kagan, Marja Vorozhtsova!) bilden - zusammen mit dem sichtbar gebannten PUBLIKUM - tatsächlich die vom Moderator proklamierte E I N H E I T mit dem musikalischen Übervater J.S. BACH. Mag uns "Westlern" das d-moll Konzert WV1052 vielleicht noch etwas zu kompakt motorisch klingen, so offenbart das 5. Brandenburger vollends Richters Tiefenkraft seines kongenialen Klavierspiels. Noch nie übrigens konnte ich diesen Pianisten nach einem eigenen Auftritt so heiter gelöst sehen wie hier "in"(!) diesem so gelungenen Konzertabend. Von wegen, er spiele "nur für sich"!? Die Kavaliersblumen des sonst so selbstkritischen Ausnahmekünstlers sprechen eine andere Sprache...

It is divinely inspired.
All his stuff was written for the glory of God, even his secular works. Dude was a genius imbued with talent from God. I don't know how else a human can write such complicated and beautiful works - this is a composer that set the standard benchmark across a large range of categories - e.g. Concerti grossi (Brandenburg Concerti), solo keyboard works (Well Tempered Klavier Books 1 and 2, English, French, and German Suites), solo violin works (Violin Sonatas and Partitas), solo cello partitas (Cello Partitas), solo lute works (Lute Partitas), religious works - the St. Matthew Passion, the St. John passion, numerous religious Christian cantatas including "Sleepers Awake" (better translation is "Wake up calls the Voice") and Jesu, the Joy of Man's Desiring (better translation "Jesus is my joy").
@@badmotherfarker123 You know, Bach actually studied music practically every day for many many hours from adolescence and onwards. Of course he must have had talent in music, but practice is what made him brilliant. Not "God given talent".

The solo keyboard partitas are sometimes known as the German suites. And many people have spent much of their days studying music. I don’t think anyone’s music has reached higher than Bach’s - which is interpreted brilliantly here

Cziffra was a very fluent jazz pianist. In fact before becoming a famous classical pianist he would play in jazz bars to earn a living, so he 100% would've heard Art Tatum. Also has a hungarian he also knew hungarian(gypsy) music, making him fluent in many different musical disciplines
Both Richters (Karl and Sviatoslav) are great at Bach in their own way.

No muy vanguardista, si tomamos en cuenta otros músicos contemporáneos de otras nacionalidades, pero eso no le quita la belleza lírica y sensibilidad de su obra. Todo lo que he escuchado de Cortinas es muy inspirado. Y es posiblemente el mejor compositor de canciones (lied si se quiere) que ha producido el Uruguay. Si no me equivoco, se le llegó a llamar el Schubert Uruguayo.
