You Must Consider Brain Spotting for Chronic Lyme Disease Trauma Relief
This is episode 40 of the Love, Hope, Lyme podcast.
[NOTE: This podcast does not promote any specific medical treatment and should not be seen as a replacement for medical advice.]
On today’s episode, Fred brings on Sami Kirschbaum of the Lyme Resilience Collective to discuss brain spotting and other ways to deal with the trauma that often comes with chronic disease. They discuss how to handle shame and grief that often come with the loss. Sami took Fred through a brain spotting session, and they discuss how it might work for you.
When Fred was doing the research for his popular book “Love, Hope, Lyme: What Family Members, Partners, and Friends Who Love a Chronic Lyme Survivor Need to Know,” he was ignorant of the sometimes perpetual traumas that chronic Lyme survivors might face throughout their healing journey. Many survivors have lost relationships, livelihoods, and joy.
But healing from the trauma is possible.
Fred Diamond's popular book, "Love, Hope, Lyme: What Family Members, Partners, and Friends Who Love a Chronic Lyme Survivor Need to Know" offers those who love someone with persistent or chronic Lyme disease ideas and tips to support this beloved person. It also helps Lyme survivors know how to ask for support.
If someone you love has been afflicted with Lyme disease, watch this podcast now. If you have Lyme disease, listen for ways to get the support you need.

Thks love the podcast. Ever time I see caring people gives me hope.
Great episode!! Thank you both for sharing your stories from both perspectives and being such great advocates for this community!
Loved this, thank you. I worked in mental health for years and understand how important it is to start healing at our core. So glad you are there for survivors Sami!!!And "MOLD"??? Such an important subject for us....
Great podcast ! The part about “chaos” in the brain resonated with me. I used to pride myself in being so organized… now it’s just chaos and that’s how I feel cognitively as well
We have no access to any Lyme literate doctors here in Canada
Search "LYME: "OHOH CANADA" on Facebook. You may get some help there.
@@freddiamond7485 thank you so much 🙏🙏
@@Kristine-z2v You're welcome. There are many people in that group who can help. I know it's hard, but that's a good place to start.
Thank you! Loved Olivia's book! I wonder did the POTS go away with treatment? And did you have dysautonomia?
I love this girl and her book. Powerful! I hate that she got sick, but so happy she survived and is a leader in our "lyme world", I'm grateful that she has been able to raise awareness.. ! Thank you to both of you!
Incredible Story, Thank-you Olivia :) Great job as always Fred.
Thank you Mr. Diamond and Miss Olivia! I have been working, so far, for two years to try to recover from Lyme and co-infections. During this time I have been able to read each of your books. My husband just gave away another copy of your book, Mr. Diamond.😉Olivia, I have been very encouraged and impressed with your courage and tenacity! There are several people in my life who have suggested that I write my own story. As a 52 yr old gal, I just might do it! Thank you both for your advocacy! I would love to meet both of you one day! May the Blessings of the Lord be upon you❤
Thank you. As I tell people, if you want to write a book - write a book! Go for it. Someone needs to hear your story.
@@freddiamond7485 Thank you, sir
Imagine being that intelligent and ambitious at such a young age. Very inspiring story.

Thank you for bring attention to how important a support crew is to a Lyme patient.
Yeah, this guy’s therapies sound hyper expensive for anyone with Lyme. Testing alone sounds insane. Go to a local LLMD or Jemsek clinic for Lyme way before you spend I’m guessing $50k with this guy.
Please consider a research lab as the main cause of this Lyme and co epidemic.
For sure.
Loved this can't wait for more. Thank-you Laura and Tim for the hope. Thanks Fred you're the best.

Hello (22 minutes after show aired).
Thank you. Michelle has been helping many Lyme survivors.
Levy looks terrible. His ozone and methelene blue is not working for him. Plus Lyme is a fake disease.
The heinous ignoring of test results that prove of disease and symptoms need to stop also
I gotten diagnosed in 1998 They (doctors ) said in California said you can't get Lyme disease in the state of California but one doctor said to me come here I had the rash he biopsyed it and I was diagnoised
Hi Fred & Dr Mo I have Lyme’s Babesia, Hashimoto’s, Hydrocrphalus, etc I Learned re: HBOT decades ago (I think Dr was Dr Yunis???) but HBOT is very expensive & I presume still not covered by insurance. I did get a SPECT SCAN at Columbia Presbyterian that was covered by insurance. So do we afford it???? Thank you. (I wish I could do it! Thank you!
Lyme is horrendous! I thank God every day that I managed to heal myself. I contracted Lyme in 2015 and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I couldn't walk, couldn't lift my arm and couldn't sleep because of severe pain 24 hours a day. After a few weeks in hospital the doctor's told me that they couldn't do anything to help me and that my body would have to heal itself. After 5 months in hell I was on the verge of taking my own life just to end the pain. What saved me was a book by Professor Buhner called, 'Healing Lyme. ' I followed his protocol as well as adding a few ideas of my own. It was a very slow process because first you have to kick start your immune system and second you have to fight the bacteria itself of which actually hides from your immune system - known as 'pathogenic bacteria'. What is different about the Lyme bacteria to other bacteria is that it eats the magnesium in your body whereas most bacteria eat iron. Without magnesium your muscles can't work. Little by little I began to improve but I won't lie, it was the fight of my life. All in all it took about one year for all the symptoms and the pain to stop. Only then could I begin to build up my strength again. Today, 2024, I play golf and I am a 8 handicap. If I ever contracted Lyme againI don't think I could go through it a second time and would probably just end my life. That's how vicious it is. For anyone reading this who has Lyme - don't give up - your body can kill it. It takes a special diet, special herbs and sheer will power. It will be the fight of your life but if you want your life back that is what you must do. Anyone who is interested; I made a video of my Lyme recovery journey and posted it on my youtube channel vlog.
Interesting.... Dapsone is used to treat Celiac DH (dermatitis heptaphorus) it's a miserable rash. I never used Dapsone due to it's damage to the liver. A strict GF diet along with frequency healing and acupuncture.
Dr Nathan has still said nothing about the fact that toxic mold started Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In spite of his claims that he used to be a CFS doctor. One cannot claim to be a leading expert in either CFS or mold if they fail this badly.
In China, all pregnant women are given huge lead plate to cover their wombs when 5G began!! The 5G is put on lower poles that are about the height of most people’s heads! Thank you!
What happens if gall bladder removed?
Fred Thanks & thanks for having Dr. Neil NATHAN!! BRAVO!
Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤ I’m so grateful for our brilliant doctors pioneering research in medical science. Our Lyme foundations MUST recognize their role as follows: 1) require all grant receiving institutions to employ a Lyme literate doctor; 2) insist that our doctors be teaching in medical schools, CME, and public health; 3) understand that academic institutions want this funding now more than ever; 4) pave the way for government funding to set a precedent for funding valid Lyme disease research. Every NIH grant I’ve ever reviewed included particular stipulations to ensure success. Doctors who know nothing about these matters are not qualified to conduct this research! These measures are imperative to move medical science forward.
@@MyHaumea I totally agree! I have had mold toxicity and now am recovering from acute and resurfaced Lyme infections as well as viruses that popped back up.
Haven’t watched yet, but I respect this guy! I have his other book, and the quote you read is SO pertinent! I’m so sensitive to everything! I’m liking even though I haven’t watched!
Good interview. Also in San Diego with Lyme. I have found frequency healing to be a real asset in the battle with the co infections of the disease.
Did she use ldn ?
Anybody try SOT
No massage??? I would be totally bed ridden if it wasn't for my massages.
If you are beyond the acute stage, massages can be amazing for circulation, detox, etc. But I was speaking about while in an acute stage or episode.
I wonder could Lyme trigger other autoimmune issues? I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis in October 2023 and have been sicker than a dog since. I have been bitten by at least 30 ticks or more in the 23 years living in Indiana. No thyroid issues in the family whatsoever. I wonder if there is a correlation there I don’t know I’m ignorant on these things and my father is a retired gastroenterologist so I’m not a complete idiot. My symptoms are mostly neurological. I am waiting on the Lyme test to come back. It has been sent to a special Lab . I am so fortunate to have a Lyme disease specialist 20 miles from me. He studied out east he seen over 6000 cases of Lyme disease. He’s pretty certain I have it based on seeing me for 30 minutes and his office last week. So who knows. One thing I do know that I’ve learned is at the regular standard testing of Lyme disease is like a flip or a coin. It’s anyone’s best guess rather it’ll be positive or negative it’s so inaccurate.
DNA CONNECTIVE TESTING IS ACCURATE
I'm glad you are testing. Hashimoto's can sometimes be triggered by toxic mold, as can Lyme. Keep digging and treating. It may get worse before it gets better.
Loved this interview, thank you for your advocacy Bruce, thanks Fred😊💚

I have been sick for an entire year after a known bite. I've been to several doctors and have taken a number of antibiotics, yet I remain very sick one year later. I was completely healthy before this happened, and need answers now.
Thank you Mr. Diamond for another inspiring episode to help keep us informed, and more importantly, encouraged! Thank you Mr. Fries for your work in the midst of your own challenges! I’m about to enter my third year of my own journey with chronic Lyme. Keep up the good work!
Look into Regenu 3 frequency treatment. It's a diagnostic tool and treatment. I manage my Lyme with The Elite Element frequency machine with this home machine.
Great interview Fred very digestible. You are a powerful advocate, thank you.
You are speaking very well Jessica. I see such a progression in your ability to speak. Thanks so much for your kindness and compassion, you're one of a kind.
She is an amazing woman.
Lyme’s Disease is a worldwide epidemic 😱😱😱 Millions of individuals have been undiagnosed and/or misdiagnosed & have fallen through the cracks of the medical system 😰😰😰 I was bitten by multiple ticks 6 years ago, and as a result, contracted Lyme’s Disease along with 12 other Tick-Borne Infections 😖😖😖 The pain was excruciating 😰😰😰 Pharmaceuticals were entirely ineffective 😰😰😰 I was tested ( CDC ) for Lyme’s Disease twice and the results came back as negative 😳😳😳 In my desperation, I sent my blood to the Armin Lab in Germany, and within 2 weeks, I received the results and I was positive for Lyme’s Disease along with 12 other Tick-Borne Infections 😱😱😱 I’ve been on a modified version of Stephen Buhner’s Protocol along with several supplements 👍👍👍 I’ve also had to drastically alter my diet as I had developed severe allergies to food at the same time 😖😖😖 I’ve been currently pain free now for 1 year 🥳🥳🥳 I hope & pray that this info might help other victims 🙏🙏🙏 God Bless
I'm here in the 'hotspot' of the northeast US. Got bit last summer and have been sick for a year straight. Taken multiple combos of antibiotics with no relief. Having constant dizziness and weakness throughout. Need help fast.
Saw this today and loved it. So glad Dr. Krzysztof is there to help people sick with Lyme Disease and to educate. May many follow in his footsteps.
I'm in Texas need help
Thank you Fred! Dr Majdylo do you treat people with Lyme’s who also have Babesia? What type of treatments do you use? Thanks very much!❤
