Hey, thanks for checking out my channel. I hope you find some useful information and don’t forget to subscribe so you won’t miss any new videos.
With the Holiday coming up unfortunately I'll only be posting 1 video a week on Fridays. I'll get back to twice a week in February 2024. Thanks again to everyone who has subscribed and watched my videos!
The reason for this channel is I have had projects that I feel I have wasted so much time trying to research online and on TH-cam because the information is either not there or incomplete. My goal is to provide detailed videos with links to everything that I use to make your life a little easier.
I have been doing woodworking since I was in high school (a while) and I also enjoy making 3D projects and general projects so the videos I post will be basically what projects I have going on and how I go about getting them done.

Love this video I have a small TH-cam channel with about 5000 subscribers been going for about five years super fun main thing is to have fun doing it no matter what it shouldn’t be about the conversation or the subscribers engaging with the community and having fun while making is the most important part I love your videos are super cool man happy Woodworking to you Wish I would’ve made the list ha ha ha ha
Thanks for watching! I definitely watch all of your shorts that you put out. I love how you seem to have the whole family out in your workshop! I will also be working on my own version of your video "cart" that you have in an upcoming build.
@@wilmerwoodworks nice man we should do a collaboration video. I’ve tried to do it a few time with a couple of wood workers. Maybe build a yo-yo I’ll build 1/2 you build together make a video out of it.

@@StonerEricson Sounds like a great idea! You said you've tried a few times? No luck getting it completed? I would most definitely be open to a collaboration, sounds fun!
@ yeah a few years ago I tried with a really cool Woodworker from Australia. I thought it’d be a fun crossover promotion and just didn’t seem to work out with him. I also tried with my buddy crafted by Ray. He’s a really cool Woodworker from the US but he got too busy doing other things too. We should think of something cool that we could make a video of each at our own shops and then send a person the other half to complete it.
Evening Steve. Thanks for the shout out. Really appreciate that.
You got it man! Wouldn't have done it if I didn't believe it. Love your channel and love the content. I'll be making some of my own versions of your builds in the future!
Hey Steve, thanks so much for the shout-out :D I'm honored to be included in your list 🙏 It's been great watching your channel grow these last couple of months!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and I’m excited to see your channel grow!🙏
What ? I am not on the list ??? Haha, only joking, but I will work harder to inspire you and get me on the list for 2026. Ross @ Fathogwoodworking, is my favourite on your list and I will be copying his pallet wall this summer. Currently editing my CATIO video which I am hoping is the last of the construction type projects my son seems to think I am expert at !! Thanks for having a great channel Steve!! P.S. Love the T-Shirt !!
Haha, you had me for a second! 😄 Ross @ Fathogwoodworking is an awesome pick-I’m sure your pallet wall will turn out amazing. A CATIO video sounds super cool too; your son clearly knows you’re a pro! Thanks for the kind words about the channel (and the T-shirt)! Can’t wait to see what you create next!
Hey Martin. Thanks so much for the kind words. It’s really appreciated.
@@fathogwoodworking You are welcome. Genuine comment.
I’m not finding the link to those belts
Oh no 😬 it’s showing as out of stock. I would set a reminder on Amazon for when they are back in stock.
This is amazing! Do you do tutorials in Adobe Illustrator?
Thanks 🙏. I haven’t worked with illustrator but maybe I should look into it.
You’re going to double your goal! Offer a couple giveaways and it will soar. STL Woodworks is a prime example
Thanks, I’ll have to check out STL Woodworkers, I’ve never heard of them. Thanks 🙏 for the confidence, I offer giveaways on my lives I just need to schedule more
Good luck with your journey bro 🎉🎉 let’s get it 2025
HOLY CRAP! I watch your channel all the time, thanks so much for the comment I was actually going to mention your channel in an upcoming video about the top 10 TH-cam channels I watch myself. Thanks 🙏 again for watching.
Here’s to a great year!
Cheers to that! Let's make this year the best one yet for all of us on our TH-cam journeys!
❤ good luck!
Good luck? I’ll need more than luck-maybe a magic wand or a TH-cam fairy godmother!
Love the family name on the sides of these boards. Colours are absolutely awesome, great work, I imagine these are an absolute winner. New subscriber.
Thanks! Walnut and Maple really do make for a great combination. Thanks for subscribing, I'm planning on more woodworking and workshop videos for 2025, and I can't wait to share them.
@@wilmerwoodworks Look forward to following on my own journey
Cool!
👍
I have the same drill and had same problem out of the box. Problem is battery has lost all of the charge they put in. There are several TH-cam’s that show how to “jump” a dead battery by giving it a trickle charge enough to be recognized by the charger. It actually worked for me. Tool Review Zone did it with utility knife blades. I cut some wires off an old computer part.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try that.
Nice video; thanks for sharing! Glad to hear about the 1/4” washers; it’s nice to have an alternative to buying the green inset pieces you were talking about 3D printing. I ended up making some hold-downs for this with 3 pieces of 3/8” by 3/4” ply (glued together, with a slot in the middle for the bolt), some 1/2” dowel at one end, and rubber furniture shims at the other. They work pretty well so far. Thanks again for the vid!
That's a great idea for hold-downs! I'll have to give that a try!
I have been using this product for a while now. This is a Great system.
Yeah I'm really liking it so far.
Matchfit makes 1/4" collet dovetail bits as well. I've used one without a relief cut, but I probably won't do any more that way.
Good to know. A 1/4" bit would be nice in a trim router but I would be worried it would be under powered.
Helpful tip: Right-click the # heading in the cuts & layers window and select "sort cuts last". Thanks for this excellent video!
Great tip! It's amazing how many little things can make the process easier, thanks for sharing.
How is it working for you so far? Still happy with it? Thanks great video.
It's still working great! I am definitely happy with it. I think I might try adding a camera to better align projects and possibly a rotary tool to do cups.
@@wilmerwoodworks@wilmerwoodworks Thanks, super useful.
This is fantastic! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
Wow! This is super helpful! Thank you!!
I'm glad you found it helpful!
I stopped makiing these as you cannot buy the mini booze bottles here in Canada. Only the 50ml ones are sold now. Two big for this kind of holder.
That's a shame - hopefully, they bring the smaller bottles back!
I like the ornament and the cutting boards are beautiful!
Thank you so much! I hope you get a chance to make some of these.
Excellent demonstration. Thank you!
You're welcome! I hope you give it a try!
Awesome
Thanks!
Nice, little project. Merry Christmas for you too.
I really appreciate your kind words! Merry Christmas to you too; I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Thank you for sharing. Have been looking for a file like this. I clicked on your link. The photo says it’s free, but when I add to cart there is a charge.
Sorry about that (my site isn't the best) it was supposed to be free for the weekend and then a charge on Monday. I've adjusted it so you should be able to download it now for free. wilmerwoodworks.com/product/mini-bottle-holder-christmas-ornament-festive-and-fun-holiday-decor

I'm still getting the handle of the stream deck. I used it with OBS but I really need to set it up for Davinci also.
MacBook Pro!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 so happy you chose to do it!
It was a scary choice but I think well worth it. I was able to render a 3hr video in about 20min (with my old computer it would take about 10hr 😂)
New Sub!! Thanks for a great video.
Welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for Subscribing! 👍
Hi, thank you for the design. Very cute. I'm new to laser engraving. I have the falcon2 22w and I used 1/8 basswood. I scored the wood but did not cut at all. Can you tell me what I did wrong?
What settings did you have your cut set to? I would suggest you try 500mm/m @ 70-80%. If that doesn't cut through adjust the settings to slower and more power gradually (speed in intervals of 50mm/m and power by 5%) until it cuts through. If you have additional questions let me know - Steve@WilmerWoodWorks.com
With the end of the year would you still recommend the 12w falcon 2 from creality? Its got a pretty good sale right now hoping to start my own small business
This is a great question and I wish it was just as simple as yes or no. Unfortunately the answer is - it depends. This unit is a great laser for "Hobby" use and yes you can use if for a small business but how "small". If you want send me an email (Steve@WilmerWoodWorks.com) and I'll layout all the points to consider (it's just too much for a comment reply) I'll also try to put together a blog post on my website that covers all of my thoughts. - GREAT Question and thanks for asking it!
What paint markers are those
Amazon - amzn.to/3ZSxSUM
Wow! I always wondered how they were made! 🥰 it would be amazing to learn how to make them, but unfortunately I don t have all the tools. I might research and someday, try making one. ❤ Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your kind words! I'm thrilled to share my process, and I hope you find the right tools or methods to try making one yourself in the future!
Great video bro, thanks for sharing the wisdom - check your emails btw. 👊
Got it! Thanks again.
Tha k you for sharing! 🥰 what are the requirements for Amazon affiliate??
@@LouisaSamayoajerez The process to join Amazon Affiliates is straightforward. First, you’ll need an Amazon account: amzn.to/3ZD0iAy . Next, fill out the application to become an "Associate." This gives you access to create trackable links for products listed on Amazon. To qualify, you must: Be at least 18 years old. Provide your Social Security number during the application process. Optionally, you can link a bank account for monthly direct deposits. Once approved, you’ll need to generate a sale (someone clicks your affiliate link and purchases an item) within six months of signing up to keep your account active. After that, you can add your affiliate links to your social media posts or TH-cam video descriptions and start earning. Keep in mind that joining the "Influencer Program" requires meeting additional criteria and is a bit more challenging.
That's a good tip having an intricate design on the back of the ornament. I'll adopt it too. Thanks
Glad to help! It really helps to add that extra something!
What pens are you using
Acrylic Paint pens from Amazon - amzn.to/3VwvCjA
Hola una consulta, que programa usas y que potencia y velocidad le das para cortar una mdf de 3mm por favor
I haven't cut mdf but for the plywood I use 250mm/m and 100% power
I really like this design. Good idea I never have cut cardboard. Always afraid it was going to catch on fire. What settings and speed do you use thanks. Newbie
I usually cut my cardboard at the same power as wood but just faster speed. What is the power of your laser?
@wilmerwoodworks 5.5
@@raywatts3595 The lasers I have worked with are 10w or 12w so for a 5.5w I would try maybe 500mm/m and 100% power see how that works on a simple small square and maybe adjust the speed up or down from there.
@@wilmerwoodworks Thanks
Thank you for this great video! Very helpful!!
Thanks, glad you found it helpful!
Awesome video! Thank you
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice demo. You took the mystery out of it! By the way, take up woodturning and you’ll buy superglue (CA glue) by gallon.
I have done some woodturning in the past but have been thinking about trying it again great tip I'll have to remember it! 👍
WooPay is not available in your region.🙄
I love your designs!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked them! CONGRATULATIONS ON HITTING 8K! I've been watching your videos keep up the great work. I still don't like the thought of paint but decided I can deal with the convenience of paint pens.
Great video, thanks for sharing your skill set. I just finished two of the snowflakes one on 10w and the other on 20w, they both came out the 10w had some light burn marks so thats on me. I need to thank you for letting us have this file for the holidays. What do I need to adjust so I don't get those light burn marks? Have a great Holiday season.
Are the burn marks on the top or bottom? If on the Top check the filter on your air assist. if on the bottom are you using a honeycomb bed?
Great review me ole mucker! Looks like a decent bit of kit that! You seem to have mastered the intricacies to getting the most out of it! The shout out is much appreciated too! 👊
