The generator's main board was broken
gm ls oil pumps go at 200 000kms
is it belt failure or oil pump failure my 2020 2.7 says 520 km thats thousand bought it used has issues still will take it where i have to go not sure its original engine ford says it is i dont think the truck has 520 000 km on it i would say maybe 150 000km but who knows
@darrenyoung4893 it was belt failure, previous owner neglected proper oil change intervals, 520,000km on one without changing the oil pump belt would be crazy! Ford suggests changing it at 140,000km
good stuff Craig!! Cheers, Bernie
I like that it came painted
@ChrisJEllis me too chris!
Good you can but that!
@@jarnosaarinen4583 366 dollars delivered, not to bad
Way to go! Yes pretty much a losing battle getting it all out!!
@@jarnosaarinen4583 This should help a lot I hope
Looks good new tank
Awesome
Me again Mildred 😊
Lookin good Craig
@MORE_MAC tks, just a quick fix, to help it not hold water,
Don't forget to check your lug nuts after you drive it. Mine needed to be tightened after the first drive.
Ah the fun part! LOL
@jarnosaarinen4583 it's just a quick job in case I have to put it outside this winter, save it from getting worse
@@Hanlonsgarage👍
Looking good
Nice job

Look great Craig... Fresh out of the box!!! Cheers, Bernie
@@bm0078 tks bernie!
I have the same color Tahoe I’m looking to get a driver side fender painted from partify. Hopefully no problems
@Devante713 they were good to deal with, the packaging of my bumper was poor though, just some bubble wrap and plastic.....
Check the fuel pressure, it should be about 40 at idle. Also you can google the paper clip method to check those check engine light codes.
@Agreaves11 tks, I will check that out, it has a new fuel pump, but the tank is really dirty, going to reclean the tank, and clean or replace the injectors as well
Clear coat what you don't paint. Aluminum will oxide fast.
@ChrisJEllis just going to keep it polished, if I clear it it will chip off and hold water
Nice job 👍

@michaelbristol6467 tks! I impressed myself Michael!
They can be a prick of a job to get to stick. Good Luck with it!!
@jarnosaarinen4583 I scraped off all the old foam, then it seemed to stick pretty good
When in doubt flush it out. Heck yeah 👍.
Almost forgot about your Channel good to see u still posting 👍
Guna look good
@patrickscanlon1631 hope so patrick!
Turbo lag ?? You can blow out the filter and reuse it I have many times. Blow back into a glass jar
@gmc.joesousa4360 Already have a new one on there joe
It's pretty hard to get everything out of a tank without cutting it open. Looking like it's all back to dirty fuel, seems they like nice high octane fuel!
Yes my buddy runs strictly racing fuel in his Grand National. I'm not sure what the name of it is but it's high octane. We live in Massachusetts and he drives to New York an hour away to fill her up. 😉✌️
@@jarnosaarinen4583 Yes, Jason.I definitely think the fuel tank is the problem. Going to order a new one and then clean the injectors
Craig, my mother in law had a Bronco, been sitting for awhile, she got it started, drove, same problem, I put a bottle of Techron in it, she drove it till it ran out, changed the plugs, new gas, ran fine after that
@pgb1858 I've been taking it out the highway every day, but the fuel looks terrible, just think in the long run a new tank will do wonders
@@Hanlonsgarage if it's available in your area, get some Purple power deruster, it will get rid of the rust, trust me, it desolves rust, an thin wash it out, clean gas, change your plugs, see what that does.
She goes ok
@patrickscanlon1631 it's getting better, this will go much faster when it's running right, a few more tweeks and it will be wicked!
That better fuel octane should clear it up! Sounds like Premium only for it!!
@jarnosaarinen4583 That's what it says the instrument cluster, I just didn't notice l o l, hope your right that it will clear up!
Just blowing off the cobwebs still 18 years is a long hibernation! A full tune up plugs, wires, ect. And she'll run like new. 😉✌
@michaelbristol6467 I hope your right, that knocking sound is scary!
Only sounded like when first accelerating then went away. Check exhaust might be hitting the floor as in too close somewhere. Sounded more like a rattle under not in
@metalartcustomsLLC I thought it was a bad catalytic converter, took it off and it's fine, I will look underneath it to see if anything is hitting, when I rev it slightly it goes away, but if I Rev is more it makes a small amount of noise and won't take the gas properly, a bit frustrating but I hope I'll figure it out
Engine ping? If it pings on start up, probably a lifter, it pumps up it should stop, but if it does it while driving, more than likely, a lifter needs to be replaced.
@pgb1858 doesn't do it while driving, it's more like a knock, it did have a lifter tick when I first got it running, but that's fine now, this knock sounds more like detonation, it won't take full throttle, but if I ease into it, it runs fine, that's why I'm thinking fuel problems....
@@Hanlonsgarage it could be, put some techron in the tank, run it out, should take care of the bad gas problems, an go from there, I'll be checking your notifications on the progress.
I’ve been researching this, main problem here for Ford: they have never explained this decision and the engineering behind a kevlar BIO (Belt In Oil). These are actually smoother, stronger and able to withstand higher RPMs than the gear driven systems they replaced. 7000+ RPM and 1100HP rated. Designed to last ‘the life of the engine’ but no further explanation given. This has been my issue with Ford engineering since I worked in parts at a Ford dealer in 1990. Though they did a great job explaining the design enhancements in the Modular engine lineup including the 4.6 first used in the Lincolns. Fascinating design features, seldom explained to the public like it was explained to techs and parts department like myself.
Then why does the Mustang not have the BIO system? That's meant for high RPMs
So what was the maintenance on this engine? Anything poorly maintained is a crap shoot as for longevity.
@UnknownIdaho the engine that blew the oil belt was poorly maintained, one oil change was done at 146,000km then the next at 206,000km!! No wonder it died an early death!
The lifter is not getting oil Push on it when it's running to compress it several times. It probably sat with the cam lobe up on that cyl.
@gmc.joesousa4360 The lifter tick is fixed joe, just ran some marvel mystery oil in it
Brings Back Memories
Nice looking Regal Craig!!! Sounds good to these ears.. lol.. Cheers, Bernie
Thanks 👍
Put some heat in the tank to get rid of moisture. Wrong video but it's what it is
@@ChrisJEllis I used a hair dryer to dry out the tank after I flushed it out chris
