Hmm… touch choice. With all the app support and ability to tune the sound to your liking I’d go for Engine4 in this comparison.

Just stay with the small size of the ones that come with the earbuds. No need to change them, really.

I feel like they are going for slightly different things. Engine4 has more of an "let's average out what people want and make it better than others" type of sound signature. So they sound very clean, almost sterile I would say. Boosted bass, boosted highs - an old recipe that simply works for 90% of people if done well, and it is done very well. Moca comes with a different philosophy. Very careful tuning, making sure all frequencies are well reproduced in the sound signature, great detail retrieval and paying attention to the "presence" region of the frequency curve. It works for me and overall - even though I am a HUGE fan of Engine 4 and always promoted them to everyone - I would pick the Moca in this comparison.

@@thepolishpotato42 thank you for answering, they just come today and I feel exactly the same.. Vocals sound great now, more full and soundy/shiny than by space travel.. Which I still love regardless.. ST maybe are bit warmer for me, moca bigger stage and separation, more space. Both great and extremely enjoyable:))

My point was they have excellent noise cancellation. I would highly recommend them for that.

Both are good, I would probably pick the KZ Carol as the winner in this comparison. @Ceeboey will agree :)

@thepolishpotato42 uh ngl I kinda lied the roseselsa are only better in battery life and sound. Everything else is almost even except the rosesla are made from aluminum

@@FursaFarfasha a lot of people use them in public transportation and the conditions are very similar. It’s all about the noise levels and how they deal with that, not really about using them in a car.

@thepolishpotato42 I hear you and I appreciate you but still play some music. I'm often in noisy environments whether it's walking down a busy city street or in a cafe. Just picked up a pair on your review, I hope they are better than the soundpeats clear that just died on me. 😅

Problem is this would change my process and the results wouldn't be comparable, anymore. The way I do it now all earbuds are exposed to the same conditions. I am building a library of these tests across all the earbuds I worked with this far but... I appreciate your suggestion. MaYbe I'll do an additional section with music.

@@zydecorebel On paper the C3 Pro+ is better but maaan if I am to be completely honest it’s so hard to hear the differences in sound quality. Mics performance is also almost exactly the same, IMHO.

Bro, both are very good, and making a decision is hard. If you want punchy sound, go for KZ Karol and also more battery life. If you want overall balanced sound (super balanced at this price), then go for space travel; it has less battery life. For me, I will go with KZ because it has better battery life... I can't compare in my head which sound is better (I told you everything from the internet I was researching for me, which one to buy) .

I use SF0 from Sonicfoam: amzn.to/3ObQBnt but I have a feeling SF1 would also fit well on these (not confirmed)

So... I tried... but the app takes so annoyingly long to connect EVERY TIME that I just give up... maybe one day when I am really bored at my day job I will try again and report back here :)

@@thepolishpotato42 For me it connected really fast on Android and very slow on Apple. But both don't want to update it 😭 And in ANC mode, the right inEar makes a weird sound like an old airplane propeller, also hearable with music on mid and you can feel it like bass all the time, also at max volume. I guess i will send my back. The Sound itself is fantastic, but i think the next ones from Moondrop will be better with more features like LDAC and Multipoint - that should be in at my budget of 100€. So I think will wait a bit longer😂

Yeah... the loudness is seemingly an issue for a lot of people. They're loud enough for me but I heard this complaint many, many times about the AZ80 at this point.

Actually surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting them to be this good, TBH! Nicely balanced with just enough kick in the bass and well=controlled highs. There also seems to be a lot of presence in the lower mids, which is the sound profile I really started appreciating more and more in the past few months. I hooked them up to ifi hip dac 2 but have yet to turn the extra bass on - and that tells you something!

@@infamousX no, if you have KZ Xtra you’re good. C3 Pro+ would be better for phone calls but it’s not going to top KZ Xtra in sound quality (I would say it is somewhat comparable but not better).

@@hottube135technics az80, denon Perl pro and status between 3ANC all sound much better than Sony, so I’d agree.

The L3 Pro are epic and hard to beat but I would pick the AZ80 over them. Bigger sound stage, better detail retrieval and even sweeter performance over all with the bass, mids and highs all right where they need to be. Fantastic soundstage and instrument separation like nothing else out there.

Well... I'm not sure how to answer this question... haha. I would consider ST an upgrade to these but they surely are a little different. They reflect Moondrop's preferences and journey towards the great and accurate sound ST gave us but they do have a little more of a bump in lows and highs than ST. I would say these are tuned more towards the average consumer and ST is really an audiophile's delight. When they were released - yes, they were amazing. Today I would get the Moondrop Moca over these.

I have the Q30 Pro - excellent buds for the price. It has a Spatial Audio option that works remarkably well.
