I've reprogrammed the code for fish navigating in the seas to fix a bug where fish were swimming tilted at an angle. Even when fish swim downwards or upwards directly, or change their minds about which direction to go, they still align with the planetary gravity in their next trajectory. Have you fixed Z-axis problems already (stretched clouds, superhero flight, camera problems etc)?
I replaced a lot of the superhero flight code with some of my own code so that it works with planetary gravity. I removed Ninja Character Plugin (great plugin BTW) and I added C++ code for UE5 Custom Gravity, but it worked only for Walking Mode. I created my own code to make gravity work for other modes, such as hover mode (superhero flight). I have my own workarounds for camera problems. I created my own weather script that works with spherical worlds. The clouds still stretch but it's not visible unless I have specific types of clouds in my weather script.
I forgot to mention that I fixed the stretching for the planet, moon, and asteroid terrain around the equators.
I don't think I've seen the ground deform before. Cooooooool.

Wow large is the cloud city going to be? It looks pretty big already!
It will be 4 km in diameter for both levels. The top level will have buildings and the lower level will have the gas mining refinery, the city engine, maintenance workers, etc.

@@Atlantica-Worlds Ah ok, I do mostly scripting (in Unity) but want to do large scale worlds in Unreal sometime.
@@floatingorigin Most people recommend using both C++ and Blueprint. When you create your C++ classes, you can expose your classes and functions as Blueprint nodes. The reason I use blueprint visual scripting a lot is because it will cut my game development time in half. I want to make sure my game is done in less than a decade.
@@Atlantica-Worlds From what I have seen of blueprint, I think that is a good approach to successfully completing a game in a reasonable time.

@HishamYey I'm not sure. It's my first game and I'm in uncharted territory since it's a very expansive game. It may take about 2 more years if I find enough time to work on it.

Thanks! Haha. Funny enough No Man's Sky is the space game that I've played the most. I've been getting quiet a few Space Engineers fans subscribing to this YT channel in the past year or so. That's one of the reasons I'm considering adding crafting to the game. I think they would like that.

Thanks! The highest speed for now is 100,000 km/second, 1/3rd the speed of light. I will have wormhole and hyperspace travel at some point.

I thought it was rotating a bit too quickly for astronomical scale, but apparently black holes rotate at nearly the speed of light. Maybe it's not too far off.

Hello, this is great! tell me, do you store so much data on your PC or in the cloud?
All data is stored on the PC. I use a lot of procedural generation to limit the amount of data.
I understand how to make a basic map, and how a planet is generated using the Voxel plugin, but how approximately is the distance from planet to planet made without reloading, these are essentially different maps?@@Atlantica-Worlds
