Hisense U76N QLED 100 Inch Picture Settings
Quick video referencing my preferred picture settings for my Hisense 100 inch.
I used my Disney WOW Blu-ray Calibration disk initially and then adjusted those settings according to my liking.

2024 Hisense U76N 100" QLED
This TV is a steal, I saw one in store, the price is incredible. The quality, the feature set & the picture. Great job guys
Same setup love my nakamichi rocks my man cave 100in. = nakamichi can’t go wrong

@OscarsTechTalk Yes make sure modems and things are a few feet away from the soundbar. If not you will get crackling and distortion.

Is there a removable protective film on the screen?

There wasn't on mine. Just the "loose" soft plastic they drape over the whole TV.

@@OscarsTechTalk I was surprised to not see any, I've made sure there isn't like 5 times. Just got it at costco on the 29th.
@AZMTB mine had. I purchased mine in February, so maybe they changed how they packaged it. I have an unboxing video if you're interested in seeing how it was packaged.
Watching movies with those fake smoothing motions should be a capital crime. There is a reason why movies are meant to be watched at 24 frames.
I really don’t know what to do.. Go with this or the U8k Mini led . Price difference is about $1000
A grand is still a grand. Unfortunately, there are no 100 u8k on dispaly at bestbuy. All i can tell you is that i have 3 SONY OLEDS. A 65 A80J, A 55 A80K, and a 77 A80L. I can say that black levels are comparable. Again, not completely black but inky enough. I find myself watching my 100 inch more than the others. Save the grand by purchasing the u76n, and with the other 1k get an apple 4k tv and soundbar setup, and you'll be more satisfied.

Pls i dont have HDR THEATER ON MY OWN TV ?. All i have is theater day, theater night ?
@fishowma4 it's automatically going to go to whatever setting the movie you're playing is filmed in. Example, if you go to Disney+ it will automatically go to dolby picture settings. If you stream TH-cam HDR content, it should give you the HDR theater setting and so on and sp forth.

@OscarsTechTalk quick question. It's hard to really see on a TH-cam video but how is the contrast in person and the black levels. How dark are the bars when watching movies at night. I'm not expecting it to b as good as my u7n

I have a 5 year old 70" vizio that is starting to get an ugly growing 8 inch black blob on the lowest part of the screen say 2/3's from the left. It is more noticeable than in the past and is growing now in the last 3 months. I might try the Hisense 100 inch I found at Costco $1799 but I wonder about the viewing distance. Right now I have exactly 8.5 feet to my Vizio 70 inch and have no strain at all. Would I with this 100Inch from Hisense?
@imnofool2u942 im at 10.5 /11 feet. I have no issues. I believe the Hisense at costco is a different model from the u76n. Research and compare the specs before purchasing.

I am considering buying one of these in a studio setup. How is the glare? If I had studio lighting to light a person standing in front of the television would you see a bunch of glare on the TV?

A lot of times the lower priced TVs have disappointing black levels. Especially getting what I call the pixelated looking blacks and dark greys in dark scenes. Was there any of that with this model?
@dwaynefunderburk351 negative. Again, it's surprisingly good with deep blacks. The dimming zones are pretty good at handling dark areas on the screen. It's no OLED, but it's bad.

@dwaynefunderburk351 No, unfortunately, the local bestbuy doesn't have TCL or Hisense 100-inch tvs on display. They have the LG and Samsung ones. Which i believe are less impressive for the price.
how do you run this tv on the Apple 4k proccessor?
@@userbob7966 connect to the 2.1 HDMI 4 on the tv. Then select input 4 on the tv remote. You'll also have to set your apple tv to your liking.
Is there any other android based processors I can run other than Hisense? Like Samsung, LG, etc
@RamblingOmarr ii use apple 4k tv. Its amazing.
What are your thoughts on the 100QD7N ver this model? The qd7n is $2999 canadian ver u76n $3999? I currently have a 86" Samsung q70a which I believe both of these models are better than that
Just had this delivered. How did you dispose of all the cardboard and styrofoam packaging, it takes up an entire room lmao

I can decide if I should get u8k or u76n... u8k is $3000 u76n is $1800. Does it worth $1,200 more? Any recommandation?
I just got the costco one (U70N but i think its the same as the u76n but with warranty), honestly I love me an OLED / Mini LED but I'm completely happy with the price to performance. It's completely subjective but unless your specifically looking for nitpicks, it looks amazing. No complaints
@@Heal_Law different specs. You'll have to decide if more dimming zones and mini led is worth the $1200. I haven't seen 100 inch u8n in person so i cant say for certain.
Thx for the replies. I'm in USA and only u8k is available, not u8n. Have anyone seen both u76n and u8k? I know it's diffrent panel with more dimming and nits but I don't think it wouldn't be much diffrent in dimming and nit wise as long as room is not too bright. I'm just not sure how better picture is mini led vs this.. :/

Do u have led bias lighting behind the tv? If so where did u find one made for a 100 inch tv
@Gahttz I currently have the Govee T2 light strip for up to 100 inch tvs. You can find them on amazon or through the Govee website.

@@raptoreventsflorida i haven't seen a TCL 98 in person. I can only go off of my hisense and how it compares to my SONY OLEDS and my previous LG's.

I`ve been looking at this monster for a while and wasn`t sure about the Hisense brand. Seems to get good reviews but was just worried about how long it would last. My 65 Samsung is going on 10 years. When Best Buy offered it at $1799 and free installation I jumped on it. Added the 5 year warranty For $399 for piece of mind. Can`t wait for the install Saturday.

I currently have a 86" samsung qled..the difference between the 86 and 100 is it a huge difference?.I sit about 11' back
@raymondtrudeau7707 14 inches is a difference. As far as distance, I'm at 10m5 to 11, and I'm far enough.
I am torn between an 85 inch Bravia 7 or this bad boy Any advice and how is the quality build
@TheSluggo080976 i have 3 SONY OLED's. 55,65, and 77 inch. The Hisense its build is just as good. I was hesitant before I purchased it due to it not being a "bigger" name brand. The nlonly major issue i had was the slow processor, so I purchased the apple 4k tv. Hisense also sent an automatic update a few months back that added several more features. It has its cons but not enough to make me spend 3 to 8k more on a smaller sony.

@johnnytrevino8866 Sorry about the late reply. I was on duty for the hurricane. I used the Disney WOW bluray calibration disk. I keep it on HDR theater mostly. Filmmaker and Imax 2nd and 3rd Send me your DM, and i can send you some screenshots of the actual settings.

How the hell did you get it up to the second floor. My boys had some trouble with my Neo qled 98" Samsung, and I placed it in my lounge on the first floor 🤷🏾♂️

I did the virtual show for this tv off Amazon. It takes up my entire tv stand 😂😂😂. My wife likes to put a bunch of shit ontop of the tv stand and it drives me nuts. Maybe this will be the answer. I sit about 7-8 feet away from my 65 inch tv but I want a bigger tv

Well it's an excellent TV. I paid the guys that delivered it to help attached the stands the way you showed us and remove all the debris/boxes. Gave and setup the 86 TV to a 90+ year old lady who has very poor vision. Boy was she happy!!

Hows the transition? I have a 100” Cinegray screen, but i’m now considering the exact same upgrade!
@robstar18 I had a 120 imch cinegray alr elite screen, which was fantastic, but ot camt compare to the tv. Brightness, contrast, is a projector killer.
I will definitely pick it up for my game room/Man cave as it is a nice price. But I will agree to disagree that my main TV for Movie viewing and sports is my 85 inch Sony Z9K. Did a side by side but when it comes to accuracy and just HDR punch and wow factor the Sony Z9K is just on a whole different level and despite the Hisense holding it’s own the Z9K is just spectacular in the HDR accuracy and punch without going “vivid”. Yes the Z9K cost thousands of dollars and is strictly a “luxury” item and doesn’t have 5G better Picture Quality but it’s just on a whole another level in terms of Picture Quality and accuracy especially it being close to the filmmakers mastering monitor. but this is no knock on the Hisense 100 inch TV as it is a great TV for the money and is definitely a must buy for me and great tv review keep it up.👍

@Jullifish govee has several different lighting systems that work with the T2 light strip and will mimic the colors of the light strip.
What length Govee backlight did you use? Can you use the one that goes to 85"? Also, right now Costco has the U70 on sale but it appears to be LCD versus mini-LED. Is that correct?
@KyleRobertson-v5p I used the Govee T2 98-100 inch. The U76N is QLED versus the U6N, U7, and U8 are mini LED.

@KyleRobertson-v5p to be honest, i have 3 SONY OLEDS, and the Hisense is amazing brighter than the OLEDS. Its specs say 800 nits, but i believe hisense was being conservative with this number. It's very bright. I haven't had a mini led at the house, so i can't say for certain.
