You know what's really crazy to think about? Just 3.5 months BEFORE Metal Gear V and Mad Max released, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt dropped. And while I was so engrossed in TW3, I had at least gotten somewhat familiar with MGSV thanks in no small part to Quiet. Mad Max just really didn't even try to market to us 😭

It is 4 am as I am typing this... first of all nice video. I'm not entirely sure this is the mad max game I'm thinking of, but I remember hearing about a mad max game that a lot of people were really hyping up many years back now. However when the game actually came out, I never even looked at footage of the game because the people that I trusted to look at games and review them and give me good feedback all told me the same thing. "Within 2, maybe 3 hours you have seen the entire gameplay loop, you have seen effectively all the content of the game. You run around the map, do quick missions, grab stuff and then you leave to another section of the map to do it all over again." At that time that was honestly a pretty damming statement about the game. Obviously these days we have seen standards drop far far below the simple "eh game didn't have a lot of variety." but back then that was all it took to doom a game to being a second or even third class citizen in the gaming industry. With the hindsight of almost a decade we can say it at least is a fully functional game, it isn't a game that came out and then actively had the devs suck the fun out of it because the game is a live service and they need to keep things "balanced." and I don't think they really promised anything they didn't deliver on. It just didn't live up to a lot of peoples expectations or hopes. Personally based on the little I've seen of the game from this video I definitely wouldn't get it. As someone that puts significant chunks of time into games I really like, the lack of variety is a massive problem. I'm also not a fan of literally any of the super hero games and that combat style/system is one of the reasons why. I think I can comfortably stamp it "not for me." Still I do see what you mean about the car combat, that looked nice and I kind of almost wish we could get an updated Twisted Metal game with slightly more realistic and chonky car combat like that. God I miss Twisted Metal... I am so fucking old T_T

For many reasons I wasn’t aware of this game till I saw Spooky play it recently. I got it and absolutely loved it.

Dwarves have many facial piercings and goofy hairstyles. Thumbs down. Next to no freedom in regards to base-building. Thumbs down. Combat is stiff and tends to throw a bunch of brain-dead enemies your way to give you a sense of threat. Thumbs down. You can go with Valheim, Enshrouded or Core Keeper for a much better experience.

Did we play the same game? I been playing that game nonstop with friends and its very fun. Why build many small bases when you can build a big castle like we did and then just moving around with the teleportbuilding? Looks like you just running pass everything, do you play alot of cod? Running out of resources? We have so much so we can swim in it. Dont know where you find thoes goblins but last time I did fight alone it was against +20 orc and goblins with poison weapons and armour and they added a troll also, that was not a boring fight. I will go back again today have alot to do. And to look at game clips that is 30% covered by the TH-camr realy sucks, I am here to look at the game not a random person.

Was talking about this the other day... i was without doubt the worst merc ever. I just destroyed the entire map...

Progression was my main problem with it. I was expecting a “build your big dwarven base”, and instead is was more of a “build a little camp to craft better gear and go build another camp further down”. If you stick with one base, you’ll have to run miles forward and backward to constantly stash resources, repair an so on
