Hello, please reach out to me via email if I can help. Chris@MeetChris.com. Thank you
Private Garden Oasis? Where? That garden is not private.
Hello, this garden backyard area is private to the owners at 2100 Hamilton. It's fenced in but maybe that was clear from the video. I apologize for any confusion. Thanks!
Trash and drugs is a big truth, but something that you didn't mentioned are the conditions of the roads. I'm not talking about the interstates, or the roads where the beautifull buildings and the market place are. The last time I stayed in Philaderphia back in 2021. I stayed 2 weeks and I drove the whole city. By that time, I would rate the roads condtions fair, but then in 2023 and recently in 2024, wow some of the roads, in special the ones that connect to the airport, look like they received air attack, a lot of holes, cracks. I hope the new administration pay more attention to all the 3 major topics: drugs problems, trash, roads, because what you and some others are showing is the beautifull parts, but behind of that is were the reality is hidden.
I appreciate your comments. You are right - there are definitely things that aren't stellar in the city that did not make my list. And I do hope the current mayor addresses many of them (she already is thankfully!). I always advise clients to take a trip to Philadelphia and see the city for themselves. That's the only way to know for sure if you will enjoy living in Philadelphia.
Awesome channel!
Thank you!
Born & raised in Columbia SC, lived in Atlanta GA 7 years. I live in Albany NY now almost a year, and thinking about moving to Philly once I upgrade from CNA to LPN. Also I have my CDL, so I considered driving SEPTA.
Wow, you've had some big moves! Albany get so much snow, right?
@@livingincentercity yes, and yes it snowed alot, but it wasn't too bad
Philly is broken. The black youths are out of control with the mass shootings, some are in very nice neighborhoods. And nobody is getting caught. Police are selling their old weapons and they're winding up in the hands of these troubled kids. People are scared to death to move to Philly.
Hear this Kid,should just say if you dont make at least 200,000 a year watch something else
Hello, it all depends on what you are looking for/ need. You can get a 1 bedroom condo right on Rittenhouse Square for under $300,000. So you don't need an income of $200K to live in Rittenhouse.
This guy no's nothing about that city except for the Rich, its done finished its emty of Blue Color, they were chased out.Noplace to park, like NY a city hall thats useless,we fought back you dont, you just Move with your riches, you would point your finger at us and call us racist, now it makes me laugh when i see its YOU now being the victim, and you dont know what to do.Soon this city going to be the Filthy Rich and Projects, and noplace is safe. They will clean up K&A because Temple wants that land and the new houses are already being built, those addicts are not even from Phila.,but when they are gone because the rich say so, when the Poor PR, wanted it cleaned up they did nothing,i wonder how all of you will get along. You cant chase them out.NE may look nice but its far and looks can be deceiving,i remember Phila in its PRIME,was great but you will never see that again.
One thing ive come to appreciate about Philadelphia row homes - small or grand - are separate kitchens I'm really not into the open concept anymore. Am I alone in this sentiment or is the industry changing back to separate kitchens I dont mind open dining living rooms but open kitchens I dunno, i just dont like them anymore
Certain buildings definitely cater to the closed kitchen style but a lot are the open concept for sure!
Don't hate it but don't love it
One thing I would like is that Philadelphiawould have a laws that no building is higher then that tower that is a part of the cityhall. 0:10
2:41 you sold me with the cheese, can't wait to take a walking tour 3:16 you right not the best
Ok road trip!
What’s the best monthly parking garage near the square?
Hi John, that depends on how you define best. The Rittenhouse garage is popular around the square.
@@livingincentercity Thanks! I should have been a little more clear about “best”. Broadly, just a good balance between price and proximity. Walking a few blocks in any direction is ok if I can find better prices ($340/month is the best price I’ve found). Any experience with 1728 Sansom St?
@@johnstamm5147 $300 - $400 per month is the norm in all Center City. The cheapest I know about is Walnut Bridge Parking but I personally wouldn't recommend it as the spots are tight and it's a bit sketchy. I do not have personal experience with 1728 Sansom St.
I'm going to guess that you are a Scorpio.
Hello, I have no idea. I was born in May.
@@livingincentercity so your either a Taurus or a Gemini
11:57 where is this part?
Between 21st and 20th on Delancey. Arguably the nicest block in the city for a townhome.
So where are the gilded age brownstones in Rittenhouse?
Excellent video This is how I see Philly as a new resident. Yea it had its issues what major city doesnt Its not as bad atls the media makes it seems I did realize while watching this that i do not like square parks, from Jackson Sq to Washington Sq i dont like them Know idea why
Philly most underrated city in US! Its beautiful and I got many drone vids.
100%
So where's these brownstone streets in Rittenhouse? Cause I only see multi storied buildings?
See my other comment.
Come through friend with the walking tour Also nobody mentions how great the weather is in Philadelphia It has 4 real seasons and its absolutely lovely Long beach California has the best weather overall in all the places ive lived But the weather in Philly is just lovely
I've been playing around with walking tours for about a month. I have one coming out soon but it won't be too stellar. Working out the kinks.
Many of my flight attendant coworkers live here and purchase homes here during early stage of gentrification
Coming through with receipts Ah I've never been to graduate hospital only f. Square
Just discovered your channel. Philadelphia has been my second home for years and I appreciate what you're doing for this great city!
Yes its a beautiful city!
What airport is near Philly ? Can I live there without a car? Thinking of moving to a city so I dont have to drive. Also what is healthcare like?
There is a major airport (PHL) very close to the city. You can live in Philly without a car as we are the most walkable city in America but naturally it depends on where exactly you live and how you define walkable. Healthcare is stellar.
Internet friend you need to take the audience on a walk through the neighborhoods
I am actually releasing a Rittenhouse video today with a bunch of footage only.
Lots of flight attendants too
Where the hell is graduate hospital Philly loves overlapping neighborhoods
Indeed. th-cam.com/video/-7Zx37YmKlc/w-d-xo.html
Im a fitlers sq type of person
Yeah, I love Fitler Square. Did you check out the Schuylkill River Trail/ Park?
@@livingincentercity indeed I have once. Lovely addition to the city, however it's congested. It did teach me though that the front door of U Penn is south street bridge. Ive been viewing it from the back door and the campus made no sense to me. I do love it and probably should've not gone at 430 but theres a lot going on. Hope the city widens it over time. Reminds me of crescent City Park and PCH trail in long beach to orange county - I've lived everywhere Ive also come to find the city version of NYC "high line" to be really beautiful and peaceful and sincerely hope they expand it further I've had lunch there by myself a few times on the swing and it's a lovely peaceful park in the middle of the city
Not me upset cause you got on a blue polo So i walked through the Rittenhouse the other day but i don't get it Give me spring garden Or northern liberties But it's giving a sad Washington square park in nyc I dunno, im new but its not worth the hype
People out there dnt move to Philly use common sense people here r fuck’n rude too much crime trash everywhere there’s little or nowhere to go n if there r fights brake out people act like savages. I been here 2 long n if there were somewhere that can be livable I would n affordable again I would. A before someone says anything crime is everywhere bla bla bla but there places that r more n control than Philly. The cops here are a joke the mayor n governor r sooooo very useless again why vote. So whoever wants to move filthadelphia do your homework do all the research again there’s better places than filthadelphia.
What do you mean about inequality? Are you referring to job options, race, housing??
Hi Kenisha, You could argue there is inequality in Philly in every form but I was mainly talking about the disparity between the wealthiest and the poorest individuals.
6:56 haven't had a car in 14 years and major reason why i picked Philly; however biking here seems dangerous. Ive biked daily for 18 years in nyc, the Bay Area, Dallas, los Angeles, atlanta and new orleans, but havent dared considered it in the year and half ive lived in Philadelphia Honestly Philadelphia has rhe most dangerous drivers ive seen in any American city
Biking in Philly isn't for the faint of heart but it's gotten better over time with more dedicated bike lanes and the city is planning to install a lot more bike lanes in the future as well.
Do you have a south street video, cause I get so many mix reviews on the area - is it the "bourbon st" "6th Street - Austin reference, of Philadelphia?
I talk about South Street a bit in my Queen Village video here: th-cam.com/video/ODT5lJ7JA2E/w-d-xo.html but I don't have a dedicated video only about South Street yet. Honestly, I'm not too familiar with Austin. When the weather is nice, South Street is lively and fun to visit.
Oh yeah north of city hall has South restaurant and a few venues I've enjoyed live music
Another great video Will email soon, ain't forgot but need time to write my thoughts Also West Philly tool library annual sale Sat May 4 You kill me in your black T-shirts I aint mad, love the look
lol, appreciate that!
Como le hago para construir una casa asi en chuchumatango del rio?
Why do people say Philly when Philadelphia is such a nice sounding word?
I hear you! People gravitate towards what is easier to say and Philly is much quicker.

Also Old City is not that girl. It has a creepy heavy vibe like visiting a plantation or Berlin just a get me the F out of this neighborhood Graduate hospital is my 2nd favorite area outside of West philly And love the walk ability of Spring Garden
@livingincentercity it's about to be THAT girl and if I were you I'd pivot to showcasing this part of the city. I'm new here, bout year and half, from New Orleans, and the gentrification in the west is rapid and makes sense based on infrastructure - trolleys and market/Frankfort line, and insanely fabulous parks like Bartmans garden and Cobbs creek. Cobbs creek is an insanely gorgeous park and area and utterly serine to have in the city. And all the homes have good bones Also shout out to West Philly tool library *They say the more comments you add the more the algorithm suggest channel, hope it helps
Thanks - I appreciate your thoughts and comments. The tool library is pretty neat. I would love to hear more about your journey. Please send me an email (Chris@meetchris.com) if you have time.
Oh you're a center city focused channel, cause i was about to say West Philly, what I affectionately call WeDilly But spruce hill, cedar park, if you're into diversity parts of cobb creek and even university city, Clark park too
Yes, this channel mostly orients around Center City but there are certainly some nice areas in West Philly like Spruce Hill and Cedar Park. West Philly has changed so much over the last decade or two.
Whether you want to move here or not, we don't care either way. You're welcome.
What would be the best location to move in Philadelphia with family where the crime and drugs problem is least?
Hello, Philly doesn't have a major drug problem relative to major cities aside from in Kensington (in North Philly). For crime stats, send me an email and I'll send you what I use for crime maps.
Drugs are everywhere in the city

Thanks for your comment!
Hello Chris, could you please recommend some neightborhoods to chose a good Airbnb or a hotel to visit this city in June this year for the first time?
Hi Sandra, how long are you coming in for? Are you looking to just vacation here or potentially move here? Do you have kids? All of those variables may change my recommendation. Send me an email and I can give you a full list. Without knowing more details, any area of Center City could be a great option for a hotel or Airbnb.
Great video! Thank you for all your great postings!
Thank you !
I dont know why but i trust you and respect your hustle. Loving this channel and excited to see its growth
Thanks! Appreciate that!
I moved to Bucks Country and found it, to be great.
Where Washington crossed the Delaware!
Philly is a good affordable alternative to New York City. I can’t think of anything NYC has that Philly doesn’t.

Great video! 😀
