I never read Rave Master, this just pops up now I'm spoiled 😂. Didn't stop me from getting goosebumps though.

This was the death that made Mashima unable to kill future characters. Seig Hart' death was so heavy that it impacted everyone in the Rave Universe. However, in his sacrifice he gave everyone what they needed to move forward and defeat Demon Card once and for all. Mashima may hate that he killed him off due to how sad his death is, but he couldn't have written it any better. It was masterfully well done. P.S - Perfect choice of BGM by the way. Would have gone great with the actual scene.

and this is why rave master will always be better than fairy tail. mishima wasnt afraid to kill off characters to progress the story. the death of haru's dad was also devastating

The reason this moment hits so hard is that this very place, and this very corpse, were the exact things that we saw so long ago in the Symphonia arc and that first started getting us so engaged in this mystery to begin with. We saw this. We saw all of this, the pendant, the body, the place. We saw, but we didn't understand. And now, all this time later we look at that very same image and it means SO MUCH more.

Sieghart, shiba, gale, so many emotional moment, thats why its a masterpiece

ive read lots of manga and watched tons of anime but the first time i ever felt goosebumps was from this. if sacrifice is a man, that is sieghart.

I remember this being the first manga panels to make me cry… sieghart one of the best written characters in shounen

I just finished Rave Master yesterday and this moment hit me. I almost cried but I had to pause for like 2 minutes, hands in my face to take it in

i dont know why somehow i suddenly remember this scene , and here i am cry again like the first time i read the manga they should remake the anime, Rave Master deserves good anime adaptation

I can only imagine how scared shitless they would have been if Sieghart suddenly woke up in the midst of their grieving as a walking talking skeleton. Like with all the free time he had during his vigil he figured out some way to become undead so he could just keep going regardless of how old he got, but by the time they meet him again the strain of the years of isolation, monotony, and the state of undeath has affected his mind so drastically that he's gone totally senile and can't remember them anymore. In some ways, that might be even more heart-wrenching, because he might just keep sitting on that rock until the end of the world, not remembering who he is or why he's guarding a grave beyond the fact that he MUST do it.

Underrated manga Best plot twist in Shonnen history

I first knew of Rave from the PS1 game... then to the anime (which disappoint me in a way), so I went to read the manga and damn... definitely one of the best shounen manga in its era.

We need a group of animation fans who will film this moment :D

Man this death, Shiba Rose, and Gale Glory's deaths are the three saddest deaths in the series. We got to know the three of them and then they die leaving an impact on both the series and the characters.

Even as longtime fan of Rave Master Sieghart death was simple and tragic. Mashima back in the day had the balls to explore alot of dark storytelling elements and had good three dimensional antagonist.

I don't know why so many people think Fairy's Tail is better than Rave Master. Sieg Hart's Death is one of the most iconic death in manga imo. beautiful, sad, so many emotional, pure masterpiece.

It’s a shame Sieghart name and Character has been overshadowed by Jellal, whenever people see him they call him a Jellal look alike
