Model Train Layouts at the Fostoria Rail Festival
Named the "Iron Triangle" after the three mainlines that run through it, Fostoria is one of Ohio's great railroad towns -- and also the home of the Fostoria Rail Festival. I had such a great time seeing familiar faces and checking out the impressive layouts on display.

@@northernutahlivesteam3566 All credit goes to the folks at the Illiana Garden Railway Society for creating this layout and opening it to the public! Highly recommend visiting!
The Penn Central is the greatest railroad to live
@@trainsncookingwDrake Some of the most iconic American locomotives!
Yes, You got the most iconic except for 844/8444 FEF
Very cool, speeder turned out nice, great piece of equipment
Where can I find that yellow 1970 camaro? Ive been looking EVERYWHERE. I own the full scale version and want it on my layout as an easter egg
@@Rebecca_The_Dragon I wish I could tell you but this was at the Fostoria Rail Festival in Fostoria, Ohio!
Does the blue 4-4-0 General smoke? I'm thinking of buying this set. Is it a DC only engine?
@@inscoredbz I actually ended up selling this set, but I remember that it had an AC/DC adapter.
Its 9.05
Nice rock face work!
@@randycaulkins3644 The hills and mountains at this club are amazing!
I worked in that building back when it was a TV repair shop, took guitar lessons next door. Would love to see this lay out
Great video. Thank you for showing this to the world. The guys over at GVRR are great. In the past I did the train show they had at the old Gilbralter Trade Center for years. Always a great time. Great layouts and lots of old and rare items every year. I mostly delt in N scale trains from Europe (lots of West German and Austrian items). Plus, they did a lot of stuff for the kids like crafts, contests, and raffles.
@@markr8755 I’ll have to check out their next train show! And you’re right, the staff was incredibly kind and smart. Met some really cool people and hoping to go back soon!
Society: Autism is new! It wasn't a thing! Grandpa: Did you see my train set in the basement!?
What does autism have to do with this
@@colestrains1 So one of the symptoms of autism is a keen interest in a particular subject or hobby. That isn't to say that having a train set in your basement makes you autistic. But a detail oriented hobby such as having a model train set in your basement may be a symptom. Another is not wanting to be around others, say preferring to play with your trains in the basement.
@@veneroso3337 I enjoy my trains but I’m not socially awkward. you can do both
@@colestrains1 the fact that you have to explain that suggests otherwise?
@@veneroso3337 it seems like ur the one with autism if you don’t understand that fact
Great looking layout. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic shots of the club! Love the trains with faces ;)
I loved visiting, and yes, same!
Great layout and video! 👍🏽👍🏽
@@Rudedawgmoto The folks at the Gratiot Valley Railroad Club couldn’t be nicer - I totally recommend checking this place out. Thanks for watching!

@@MichaelSimons-mw3rn Hey Mike! Thank you so much for running such a fun show - are you also on Instagram? And there’s another show coming up in October, right?
Sweet god i thought this was some accident old school footage.
Any engines?
Nice line-up.
Nice Union Pacific train. I have something similar to that, but it's all back and has a boxcar with a different paint scheme
That's the Becker Farm Railroad. I just looked it up.

Sad...someone spent a lot of money on that...
Probably was one of their biggest dream to
Too bad a group couldn’t come together to help get it restarted as a volunteer organization and charge a modest fee for rides.
Any information on why it was abandoned?
Seconded! Would love a full backstory on this and info of its demise.
Original Owner died so his family just uses it for private events now. It's called the Junction Valley Railroad and it's in Bridgeport Michigan
That is so sweet
I coulda swarn it was a double header
You’re right, there’s another locomotive right behind it!
I went there somewhere around 2016-2017
Cool video and tune. 🕺🎶
