i have no idea what it is, but there is just something about this band that has me hooked like no other. my new favorite band. i wish i had friends who are into this type of music, but you rarely find anyone my age listening to this sort of stuff :(

This was my brother's favorite band. I only listened really after he died and read lyrics of King Beetle in his journal while he was in the hospital. I looked them up and found this band. Glad he left me with this band as a way to always remember him. God these guys capture some powerful emotions for sure.

If this is what their "bad" album sounds like, this band might be the best right now. It's kind of rare to be completely overwhelmed by a song but king beetle did that to me.

Mewithoutyou is like a jam band, but instead of stream-of-consciousness instruments, they use vocals.

This is great. It clearly shows their hardcore/punk roots. They obviously diverged very quickly.

I'm an atheist, but this band is amazing. They are the perfect blend between Cap'n Jazz, American Football, and A Boy's Life. Good stuff.

This entire album is wrapped in so many different meanings. The tracklisting is amazing, well told story- so descriptive and sound-full

Disappointing.... They made the song less structured... It started simple... Maybe this band aren't as naturally cool as I thought.but I still like it more than 99.9 percent of music

We shall have our experiments. We shall have the world we have so diligently studied while you partied on the backs of those we studied. The grasshopper as we have been the ants, has nothing to eat during this winter. But we do not yet know everything any person knows. This is only the beginning. Communism is the ultimate end of science, since it maximizes total potential knowledge, but science is not necessarily socialist in the beginning. We shall see in the coming days.

oh my god. Ive heard the angel of death came to david's room and thought that was the best song ever. now i hear this album and torches together sent chills. January 1997 got me head banging. love these guys

I usually hate anything resembling metal or heavy rock. I started listening to mewithoutYou with the "It's all a dream" album which has that folksy feel. Then I moved on to "Brother, Sister" and obsessed over that one even more even though it was hard for me to love at first. Now I'm moving on to this album, something I never would have listened to a year ago... and loving it. mewithoutYou kind of grows with you- as someone somewhere else put it, it's exactly what we need even if it isn't what we originally wanted.

I liked MewithoutYou much better when the spoken-word emotional shouts were the main vocals with melodic singing sprinkled in here and there rather than the other way around.
