Chrons sucks ! I've had it about 15 years or more . Arthritis and no energy kill me the most.

I bought their McKinley first, and absolutely love it! But I like using it as a base station, so I wanted something more suited for a mobile and this seems perfect. Having the USB port built in is an awesome feature, because if you ever travel long distance and use any map feature on your phone it’ll run the phone battery down. I also love that it has FM and the codes, so that if I’m ever convoying with friends or family we can block out any random traffic. There’s a concrete company near me that uses CBs so the trucks and loader can communicate with each other

Definitely on my bucketlist to get to run in my pickup, im currently running a retivis RT95. Im looking to using amateur radio, cb and a scanner in my pickup

Thanks for posting, I picked up a old 142 Cobra that I was told was off freq a little low according to the guy I spoke with I want to know where to adjust up the freq and i am not sure what I turn up. I hope to adjust it to another radio i have to get on freq or close

Bought this practically brand new unused on eBay. Attempted to convert mic connector so I could use Cobra type 4-pin mics. Wasn't easy original mic plug is sandwiched between chassis and using an adapter you need like 5 inches clearance. I am very pleased with the outcome and the freq counter conversion. The original was a kit bought on eBay and that was the box that came with it.

I like to speed the AMC up by swapping C71 (220uf) for a 33uf, it will bite and release much faster. Our speaking voices with syllibles dividing the input signal work slightly different than the 1Khz test tone we use for testing. Try it you'll like it.

I have one. It's been dropped, which bent the shafts. It's scratched all to pieces, and it was left out in the rain. It still works perfect.

I have a Midland 77-856 made in 1977. It’s in great condition and seems to work fine, but I know electrolytic caps have a relatively short lifespan. How do you know when the caps need to be replaced?

Kevan-Swansea is my channel I also have lots of other vintage radios. Some survived the test of time, those that don't. It's time to swap parts out. I love your channel,

I had a Cobra 148 GTL DX 50 years ago good set know 2 faults are the same much learning

I have a uniden pc68ltw which needs help.. My 68 works great, but with the squelch fully closed, i still hear stuff in the background. It's almost like the squelch isn't blocking the sound it just quieter it until something breaks the squelch.. anything I can do to fix it? I just did an irf520 conversion on it, and it's working great besides the squelch keys 5w swings 35-40w

Have not watched all the way through - maybe the owner has a problem with a Shorted Antenna.

Was it hard to find that Cinch Jones connector? I have a TRC-48 with no power cable and JUST learned about this connector from you!!!!

Thanks again for another great vid. The Stalker 9 looks great. I forgot to mention in your last vid that with a leason 232 mike they sound amazing on SSB. Just gotta be careful where you set the gain on the mic. Now you got me wanting to get my 2 best radios re-done ! GE Super Base and a CPI Cp 2000 with the factory base mike and factory amp. 👍🥃🇦🇺
