Unfortunately it looks like the games2gether page no longer exists. Hopefully there's another way to get elcp, if it even still works with the latest version of endless legend
You haven't showed any difference between vanilla and patch, thanks for wasting my time
Check weapons for charge bonus. Lance is +2 power on charge. While spears work best if letting others charge.
@dianabialaskahansen2972 yes mousing over the weapons in the army view shows you what they do. Spears + Shields gives the defense from shields and allows the 3rd rank of a group to fight. They also get increased power when being charged but not when charging. Most units get a power bonus on charge only. Some like lances get bigger bonuses and great weapons always have a bonus to power. If you are not surein the army view or just mousing over a units equipment and traits, it will give you a pop-up tool tip with more info.
you can see enemy charge distance by pressing "c", to check enemy missile range press shift+c
That is very helpful. Shift X and X does the same for your own faction as well. You can even press it while moving ranged units position to ensure they are in range at max distance. Very cool tip.
Have you tryed ranked games? How multiplayer is?:)
@tizianomerello6530 I haven't tried ranked yet, but I did test out the multi-player with a friend. It has a custom army builder with units based on 500 or 1000 point totals. It played extremely well and felt like a pick-up game of table top at my local game store, but much faster due to the digital nature of the game. My criticism of this early version of the game are few, and it's bound to get better over time. The ability to more clearly see if and when charges are legal is probably the biggest as many times it looks like you should but can't, or looks like the enemy can't but does. Charging and specifically being able to charge the flanks and rear are the most critical to winning fights so it would be the most useful information that currently is clear as mud on edge cases.
@@thenoseplays2488 thx a lot, I hope they they make 1500 points too, feel like there are not many units in 1000😅
There is a custom game mode that may allow this. I am also unaware of mods from the workshop yet, but if the devs allow it I'm certain there will be plenty more options down the road. Game is still technically early in development 0.58v and is barely a year old on steam.
Morgan Freeman: "It would turn out that he was in fact just bad at math."
I all of a sudden want a times 4 speed( listening to the start of this) I can't play game's anymore my wrists elbows and Shoulder blades Make snap crackle pop noises sooo no game's for me Ah...[ F%©# ] it's not a non commentary type of walkthrough Think I'll watch last light again without commentary it's like a long movie that I act like a backseat gamer ✳hey!!! pick that up!!! You missed something!!!✳
What's your favourite class to play in Slay the Spire?
I would have to say the silent is the one that is most esthetically pleasing to me, but the defect has probably been the strongest and most reliable. Ironclad was my least favorite but lately I have had some crazy runs with them that have been fun and old iron britches is growing on me.
thanx for explanation, I'm installing
Thank you for the patch info
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never knew about this patch.
I wanna thank you for this!! I had previously been very iffy about boarding pods, but today I constructed an Unfallen Fleet of 4 Coordinators and 5 Protectors all with Boarding Pods in place of weapons (save for the Weapon EMP beam on my Coordinators) and I completely yoink'd a couple small fleets. All will be Entwined~
Thanks for this!
Hey Mr Nose... you gave me a very bad idea w/ Umbral Choir on this dealing w/ there Force Projection tactic that they have. --- Say your being attack and you have all the buildings for Manpower built back home and you took 'super spuds' a Development tech. Which gives 15% cost reduction on Fleet and Empire buildings.. for umbral once you built them all your only focusing on Generating Dust... So Tier 3 Ghost Army can be project to whatever system is being attack for additional Power. in defense. Now the trick is if they focus on the ground invasion and you bring in the troops the extra bonus to damage will be gone from there ships.
Thanks for the explanation..in my game a Riftborn made me angry by influence-takeover my ancestors planet (playing as Vaulters). I then went on full invasion campaigns..but my manpower couldn't maintain the campaign. Started buying manpower from Allies but yeah I should have prepared the manpower infrastructures better.
I know it is Counterproductive of saying 5 years later :( but over 5,000 into the game and i have learn allot from you.. The issue is_ How come your NOT taking advantage of Shadows. Abduct Sleepers to create Super Populations If there is a UC Population available on the home system, it will turn into an "Umbral Shadow", which has double the FIDSI output and food consumption of a regular pop. If there aren't enough Nexus Populations to accommodate the abductees, excess sleepers are liquidated into a sizable Science and Dust bounty, even if there is an empty slot. Each successful hack of a enemy faction creates 1 sleeper agent if the enemy colony already exist. What sleepers do is preety damn cool.. You get to see the Entire Building Que, what the hero is specialize in, you can see everything while the sleep is alive. Biggest bonus is Vision on the Entire Fleet. If they decide to get rid of a sleeper its -25% per turn per 1 sleeper until they have no longer any sleeper in there colony. Yes.. you provide the enemy w/ a free pop.. But if you hack them again. A special tech comes up.. your now allow to drain a percentage of there Economy. Now about manpower your main way to generate manpower is hacking Minor civ's and forcing them to produce Double Outputs for 5 turns.
Thanks for the commentary! TBH I have only played a handful of games with the UC, like maybe 6, and two of those where on camera. If I am not mistaken this is from my first series with them where i discovered the tactic I use to great effect and outline in a later video series titled something like revisiting the UC 1 year later. I am personally not a huge fan of the hacking systems in the game. I find them very opaque and not particularly fun to interact with. They provide too little or way too much depending on what you are doing. The hacking tactic that forces the enemy to use a terrible ground battle strategy is kind of OP imo, and the constant BS you deal with once pirates and other factions start hacking your systems with little counter play other than to just wipe them out was not enjoyable to me. I do like using it as the UC because of their specialization, but I found in most later play throughs I prefer to disable the UC DLC unless I want to use them in game. As a result I am sure there are many hacking improvements I could make to my games, but honestly I think Amplitudes implementation of the system as a whole was a big miss for me, and I just don't use it much, and don't play the UC but on rare occasions where I want a really passive game hiding in the shadows so to speak. I know some people enjoyed it though so hopefully they find your commentary on UC hacking tactics to be useful. If you haven't already checked it out, look up my video on using boarding pods as an anti-invasion tactic. I theory crafted the idea long ago and actually was able to pull it off on camera in one of my videos. It was a pretty short clip from a longer game, but really worked better than I expected. Good luck on your future ES2 escapades.
@@thenoseplays2488 first of all thanks for Replying.. Hey mom i am famous NOSE! Heart my Comment!! first 1:42:34 your 'test' your 11/15 starting movement bc you moved to the capital to retrofit.. Retrofit doesn't reset all your movements. 2nd sadly your Eco, 'snowball' hurt your bc your Capital is made 'Shadow's Only..' the Main aim for the Race is land into a system w/ strategics w/ 4/5 planets and get that to 3 quickly and Jump to a distant star cluster, (you can do this in 3 Separate Star Clusters of Map) - 9 Sanctuary Max- This way when you spot a Enemy Capital. You can hack and steal there resources.-- on aggressive empires i would 100% Accelerate 100% of the time. if they want to find you they need be turn 200 to get the endgame military tech. Personally i like to be evil, for Cravers i turn there government to pacifist same w/ Hissho.. so they can't wage wars w/ other people until the next election. If someone is attacking another capital you can 'cause' uprising and making them have a reduce ground force where the reduction to ground units actually join the attacking force. 'rebels'.. You can assassinate the governor where they don't give Governor Traits for 10 turns.. this can Cripple Vodyani players w/ the 2.5% bonus to all FDSI empire wide crap or if you scouted they had a bad start, Change there government so there law can't produce free Essence. Back to the topic of Manpower unused bandwidth is king to producing it. it has 2 - 1 ratio from CAP to Conversion... 2 F 2 Industry seems nice for early game. But 2 points into Bandwidth = 66(76) republic- bW at lvl 2. this is actually 33/39 Manpower power per turn. Food on the other-hand rate implements Food * 10% *-75% = UC manpower rate. I like lvl 3 to Food and Production.. w/ Republic this becomes 2 and and dust this bc 20/20... Consider this race as the 'watchers of the galaxy' -'thread weavers' Defensive Chaos control all over the System and watch others destroy one another.. This is my version of Snowball.. Chaos from the Shadows. Anyhue hope this helps. Later Mate.
I'm going to guess it releases pressure inside the phone
Welcome back! Always happy to see more of this game :)
Your videos are a big help. I was a long time player of Thea 1, and am doing my first play of 2 currently. I've picked up so many tips from watching you, so again thanks.
Wow , it actually worked ...... thats so messed up. Mine did it in the cold from what I could tell. I didn't think it was going to work right when I popped it out it fixed itself.
The colonizer can be used as a support ship for a small fleet of exploration ships. This can be effective for taking down pirate fleets and other enemies in the beginning of the game when you don't have any battle ships yet. This can be especially effective if you add a hero to the fleet. Even in late game, colonizers can be cheap cannon fodder with the modules that increase it as a target, so that the first volley or two of enemy fire goes after them and leaves your battleships alone.
Colonizers have many valuable builds depending on your faction. Due to their low cost and, in some cases high degree of flexibility they can be made to fit many roles. My ultimate colonizer build has to be what I dubed the road runner. It was a design I originally tested using the hissso faction, but later adapted it to all my play throughs. The basic concept is to build 2nor 3 colonizers ships with no modules except fully fitted with engines. Then set them to auto explore and rush the tech that allows them to travel between systems without star lanes. What this does is passively uncovers the entire map at a sometimes staggering rate, and the AI and pirates do not spawn aggressive fleets till mid game at default settings. Some factions benefit more from this due to higher number of support slots or faster starting engines, but ever since the probe hack was nerfed it is my go to for map exploration.
Amazing video. Really opened my eyes! Thank you for the effort!
I know I'm late seeing this but very well done!! I played ES2 a couple of years ago and am starting to get back into it now and many of the points you brought up about ship ststistics and bonuses I had never realized. Thanks so much for the video.
Hi , thanks for that video wich is a gold mine .to me . The part about bombers from 3rd flotilla led me to reconsider basic battles . Are you loosing efficiency when you fight 2 lotillas against one ? Is it obviously better to put every ships in one to fight one flotilla against one ? thus , is there any circumstance when it s beter to have more flotillas than the ennemy ? Not sure ill get an answer cause im coming back to that awesome game a bit late but anyway thanks again for that video .
The short answer is...it's complicated. The vanilla game has a very opaque system that seems almost random at times. They are not, but without perfect knowledge, you can't really make decisions well. Some mods have tried to correct this, but I haven't used them much to know how well they do. Here are some "facts" that I believe are still true. 1. There is a small damage buff for having more flotillas than your opponent. 2. With the exception of bombers, there are limits to flotillas being able to engage. You can generally only attack a flotilla 1 lane away...and only if you have weapons facing them. Forward mounted weapons seem to have something like a 90 arc to front, and broadside weapons have a 90 arc to side. Ranges are theoretically always considered long-range for damage and accuracy, but there has been visual evidence to the contrary when observing the battles, so it's hard to say for sure. 3. It is impossible to predict the movement or facing of your ships, making engagements really feel weird from time to time. This is because the game decides that based not just on your tactic but also your opponents tactic, which you do not know in advance of the battle and can not change once it's locked in. This can lead to a ship full of broadside weapons that never turn them to fave the enemy. It's infuriating when it happens, but it does. Enemy ai is very predictable over time and you can scout their most used tactics in the advanced battle set up screen. This can allow you with diligence to learn bad matches and avoid using certain tactics against certain opponents.
@@thenoseplays2488 Thanks a lot .
I want to thank you so much for this video. It worked perfectly. What an engineering glitch on the S22. I hike and drive often in wilderness with no cell coverage. If that's the cause, I'm glad I now have a fix.
Wow just back from Cyprus and sound was highly distorted removed sim and immediately resolved issue thanks I really thought I was needing a new phone
but that aint a fix, thats a bandaid.. .thats trash, phone should just work. and i want a permenant solution, not for a little bit..
Try taking the lens cover protective glass off your camera. Some have suggested this fixes the issue as well.
They supposedly block a pressure vent or something that causes the phone to have issues when changing altitude/pressure.
Hello. Really enjoying this series. Thanks. Let me know if you have more content and where I can see it. Thanks.
Subscribe to my channel TheNosePlays and check out my other Playlists. I am currently running some age of wonders 4 content.
Looks like this one is about over. Looking forward to what you play next!
Thank you. This worked for me too.
Thanks for the video.
You need a magical resource of some type to build a conduit or research.
Yup, a mana node is needed unless you build a specialized one in the city tab. The spell jammer is unlocked by your tier 3 city upgrade and can replace any other pre-existing tile building regardless of type or terrain.
As the game goes on and more armies are involved (and bigger ones) the battles do tend to drag, that's the problem with tactical combat (that I enjoy otherwise). As for the "Threatened" tooltip: "You are involved in wars" is written in green instead of red because it's actually a positive factor that decreases your perceived threat level, the AI faction thinks it is less likely you will attack them because you're already busy fighting with other people. That's how I interpret it anyway.
Nice little war you've got going.
Seeing that last fight, it seems you're not afraid of losing your hero again :D Preparing a spell and holding on to it is a feature that was already in AoW: Planetfall, I'm glad you can do it in this game as well.
Currently playing a Dwarf Industious, Imperialists, Rune Crafter. Serious defense.
I am learning a lot about just how different some of the civics play. Very interested in doing a deep dive on industrial army soon.
Well, losing your hero in that risky battle was unexpected but the game is forgiving and you got him back :D Good!
Yeah rulers with resurgence are actually the least risky to lose because as long as you win the fight they come back with 1 hp. Heros who don't have that are often lost to the crypt and have to resurrected into undead heros
That last fight was like you were fighting yourself. Both sides were Feudal :)
The lack of magic damage in a feudal army can be an issue when facing enemies who have a lot of physical defenses. Their banner man was the mvp of that fight.
Enjoyed the video! (both the content and the technical quality)
Made some adjustments to the streaming quality. I am very happy with the results. Should be much better moving forward.
The free city "Eastwatch" isn't doing you any favors with it's location. Your capital has crap for expansion opportunities imo. Makes the game interesting.
There is definitely a case to be made that we should have just taken them out...but rushing vassals does provide its own advantages, especially as a feudal empire with uniters order trait I took. I will discuss this more in part 4 of the series. Very frustrating to have all those food tiles around our capital which no direction to really be able to expand into with the growth.
A couple of comments. 1. It is really great to watch someone who actually got familiar with the game before posting videos. Watching someone struggling with the UI or not understanding how things work can be frustrating. Nice job. 2. Love the time you took to explain things this episode. I think I found your channel via the Thea play throughs... glad to be back.
Thanks for the video!
Enjoyed this video as well :) They definitely streamlined the game compared to AoW3 and Planetfall. And I'm glad there will be more Thea 2 content on the channel! I'm also curious to see you play Nebulous Fleet command.
WinSlayaGaming was the YT channel with interesting info on XP
Audio volume will be adjusted for the next video. OBS and YT do not always get along. 🙄
Glad to see you back! That was a nice tutorial-like video with clear explanations, I learned new stuff despite that I've watched several AoW4 videos already. And then your obligatory tactical analysis in combat, haha I missed that :)
There will be more for sure. I will also be making a slight adjustment to my volume. Getting obs to record proper sound for yt has always been my bane but I was fairly happy with how close I got the volume this time on the first go
@@thenoseplays2488 Yeah well, the volume was extremely low, I hope you can do something about it :)
Yeah. When I do test recordings and listen on my pc it sounds fine for me, but when I upload to yt or stream and listen on my phone once the video posts, it sounds very different. I should be able to adjust obs settings easy enough without hopefully blowing out someone's ears by going too far with it
