Since East Pakenham Station has opened there’s been frequent driver training for V/Line (in this video) and Qube (days prior) from Berwick to beyond East Pakenham. It’s the pedestrian (passive) crossing. Not standing anywhere that would scare a driver.
They only blow the horn because of the level crossings

If the train was supposed to go to Lillydale it's obvious that the driver got onto the wrong track, I live on Cranbourne/Pakenham line and did notice a XTrapolis train once and thought, "what the?", I heard for some reason those trains can't run on Pakenham/Cranbourne lines.
Think the driver was having a bit of fun with their test train. These trains can’t pick up passengers on this line. Thanks for watching!

@@smarTarraY2000 looks like when the progress street, brunt road, station street, officer s road crossing removal goes under construction, comengs and siemens may fill the gaps

There’s a website starlink tracker and you can put in where you are and it tells you the area and best time it passes. The clouds I can help you much with. Hope that helps. Thanks is for watching!

It’s a track that goes to the side. Slews off. Something that is pushed to the side. Thanks for watching!
We didn’t want to close the track for 6-9 months while we built the U-Trough structure. We were lucky that there was the land adjacent to the corridor to allow us to build temporary tracks alongside the construction site, even though it meant a long closure of Parkdale station.

Has a slew track been used elsewhere during Skyrail building? It's a good idea I guess when short on space. I worked at Mentone in the mid 80's, when they still had the semaphore signals operating. I had a dreadful Station Master, and got threatened late one night, so it definitely wasn't a lot of good memories.
The slew track hasn’t been used often with skyrail. A lot of the tracks curve before it elevates. This is a rare one. Think East Pakenham got one too. Might be the new practic.
It was slewed it at Carrum.

I worked at Pakenham in the late 80's, my 2nd stint was as Sig Asst, so this is great to see. Losing the crossing is a good thing for Pakenham!
