About Dr. Curtis Turchin
Dr. Turchin has a B.A. in pre-medical studies from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in Education from San Francisco State University, and a D.C. from Palmer College West. He is the developer of LiteForce Technique (LFT).

LiteForce Technique (LFT) is a gentle technique that includes deep tissue massage, mobilization, light and laser treatments, taping, pelvic floor treatment, exercise, and cranial therapy.
LFT uses the body's own INNATE, natural movements to loosen the spine and extremities. By using this INNATE force, it precisely pinpoints the exact treatment needed.
Dr. Turchin has used gentle techniques for over 40 years and now teaches these techniques to clinicians. Click on TRAINING for more information.

    • @curtisturchin3416
      @curtisturchin3416 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is NOT true. The FACT is that all wavelengths need direct skin contact for MAXIMUM penetration. The inverse square law clearly shows that the farther away you move from the skin the less penetration there is. But, you need to stay above the skin with an infected wood or some other type of skin infection.

    I will soon have a Celluma Face device (blue, red and infrared LEDs) and wonder if it would do anything for one of our cats who has a liver tumour? She was given a few months to live back in November, but is still currently stable with normal eating, drinking, sleeping, toileting, etc. She is on liver support supplements (otherwise, I think she would have passed away by now).

      By stimulating the cat with light therapy, it will improve the uptake of any supplements or drugs you give it. So, use it over the areas that you want to heal with your supplements.

      @Curtis Turchin thanks for responding just bought your device on ebay was for a charity sale. The 20 watt unit. Nice device. Had weird shooting pain. In my heel on my left side. I used light on my heel for about a minute and sides. Weird crapping up and just feels wrong. Lasted for about 30 minutes I reused device about 5 times. I'm going to soak feet in apple cider vinegar today. Do you have a book that you wrote can I buy one?

    Reg. fat loss: We don't want to lose fat from the face, so how can I prevent that from happening if I use this regularly? Thank you

    • @curtisturchin3416

      The effect is most profound locally. So, if you treat the areas of concern, it should not effect other areas like the face. Hope that helps.

    What accounts for the deeper penetration of 810 vs. 850? I would think the longer 850 would penetrate deeper than 810. I understand the issue with heat, but strictly in terms of depth of penetration, what say you?

    • @curtisturchin3416
      @curtisturchin3416 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think of the number of photons that are available to penetrate deeply. Now assume that many of them are absorbed more at the skin level because they are so hot that they heat the skin. Thus, they stay at a superficial level because they create heat superficially and are absorbed by the skin. Hence they cannot penetrate deeply. That is why surgical lasers are often 900-12,00nm because they want heat to thermally cut the skin. Make sense? Dr. T

      @@curtisturchin3416 Thank you. Yes, this seems plausible. What about attenuation by other substances such as water, hemoglobin or melanin. Is one wavelength more or less susceptible to that phenomenon, and why?

    I saw research saying 633 and 850 was the best for skin. That's why I came to this video because I also saw study saying 810 and 660

    • @curtisturchin3416
      @curtisturchin3416 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of deep penetration, 810 is best. In terms of skin, 660 is best. HOWEVER, the majority of 810 nm photons are absorbed by the skin, so 810 is good for skin as well. The problem is that 633, 645, 850 nm diodes are CHEAP and 810 nm diodes are more expensive (810 are REALLY expensive), so manufacturers us the cheap ones and claim they are the best. But, research supports 810 and 660.. Any wavelength works but the higher the power, the more one wants 810 and 660 because they are both COOL and DEEP. At higher power the 850 and above get too hot. That is one reason that low power units use 633 and 850 as they are cheap.
