Hey, i know this video is kind of old now, but i see that unlike many people, you reply to comments, and i thought perhaps you could help me with some information. You see. I just returned from a trip to the Philippines with the specific purpose of finding somewhere to live. In short, the place i visited didn't fit the bill, though i did find one candidate which i visited briefly. I've now stumbled across IloIlo and the city looks nice, but still too busy for me ( the heart of the city ). Though this esplanade area seems like a beautiful quiet place to be around, and i was wondering if it's a quiet area in general wherever this place is and if theres places to live around there? Sorry for the long read. Would be super thankful for any info on the area. Thanks

Thai's need an IDP to drive in most US states too, by the way... What would happen if you drove in the states without the right license? You'd get a hefty fine, potential court, and definitely impoundment. As a foreigner living here I love this country to bits, but really dislike the sense of superiority some people from the west come here with... The police here aren't always right, but in this case they were just doing their job truthfully and honestly, and treated you way better than most US cops treat us back home. Something to reflect on...

Thanks for this helpful video. I'll be going to Medellin for my 1st time in a few weeks and plan to use the Metro. If my 1st station will be Poblado or Aguacatala (since that's where my hotel is), can I still get a card like the one you got? I noticed that you had to recharge your card for your return trip on this video - does this mean that for your original purchase, they only put in enough to cover one trip plus the cost of the card? Also, do you know if I take the Metro up to Parque Arvi which requires paying again at the station halfway up, do I use the same card? I understand that the fare however for this last part up to the top is much higher so I guess I need to make sure I have enough on a card for a round trip.
