How To Install WINDOWS 11 In VMWARE!
Welcome back to HDTechLogic!
In this video, we demonstrate how to install VMWare and use Windows 11 with it. This is a third-party program, which emulates a real-working system. The term "VM" means "Virtual Machine".
The VMWare VM will be running the ISO files that you enable on it. So, if you do not use a Windows 11 ISO, then the OS of whatever ISO you have entered will be used from boot.
Note that, unlike Windows Sandbox, after closing it down, your data will be stored as if it was an actual computer. The account you created in the Windows setup process of the VM has administrative rights in the VM, so you won't be hit by any administrator restrictions. The VM will run a non-activated (if you don't enter a product key) copy of whichever Windows version you stated in installation.
As a final point, if your host PC is managed by an organisation, they may restrict your access to Windows Hypervisor Platform, which is required for VMWare to run correctly.

Nice work…yeah common fault on the Aurora’s. Capacitors sometimes go as well. And yes, inverters are usually powered up by the DC side. Nice job dad 👍
do you know what causes E033 error? The converter is in Arizona, it is definitely not overcooled.
Where is this?
many thanks for sharing - I had the same fault and could fix it thanks to your video :-)
Great video - apologies for the dumb question but at 27:02 you mention about jumpering the wire between the track, but from what I can see is that you are jumpering between one relay and another. How can you identify this is on the same track?
So glad that someone filmed it!
do you have a solution for the Riso low 0.00MOhm message? the installation of the panels is correct because it works properly on another inverter. Regards
Hi, what can i do about error e034?
Helpful videos, thanks. Having now dealt with our E031, I can feed back a few things to make this job easier. First is that disconnecting the grid cable at the PCB will make handling the PCB thereafter much easier. Secondly, it is much easier to lay the unit on it's front when removing the backplate and mounting brackets. Then, without repositioning the unit, you can pivot the inner metal backplate up to remove the ribbon cable, and then keep pivoting it over to almost 180 degrees, and you will find that the inner backplate will sit nicely in this position making it really easy to remove the remaining cables, and then the PCB. Finally, if we consider that the output, or product of this unit is is mains power, then it is logical that it must receive it's own operating power from elsewhere. Note that part of the start up process is to check for the presence of the grid, and this check would not be possible (or would be redundant) if the operating power to do so was coming from the grid.
Thanks so much for the video. Failed after 6 years was quoted $1200 Australian to replace. Fixed it with your help for $30.
I think this is a hydraulic lift so this is why its rather slow... It sounds quite nice IMO though...
Incredible stuff!!!
Hello, Nice to know a fix is possible and working in case of 031. That said, mine display "Mising grid". I checked with DMM, the 230V is present on terminals. Any idea of what the failure could be? I need to kinow where to focus before dismantling the whole unit. Thanks!
The failure is not the PCB, but the relay contacts going high resistance which then is causing the overheating.
Hi there - thanks for your comment! Yes, we found this out during the repairing this unit. A follow up of what happened after the repair can be found here: th-cam.com/video/tucR0HLB5NI/w-d-xo.html. Thanks again for your comment and we hope you enjoyed the video!

How to fix error E033 ..??
Hi there - thanks for your comment. Having searched around online, it looks like the E033 error is caused by the inverter being under too much temperature load. Consider setting up a fan next to or near your inverter to keep it cool, and see if it makes a difference or fixes your issue.
Rather scary picking up the whole PCB by a relay that is almost completely unsoldered. Good way to rip a track off the PCB. Also your inverter is not going to turn on without DC present from the solar panels!
How dare you!
nice if you can list relay part and where you got it
Hi HDLogic. I already provided some comments on your interesting video a couple of months ago. I finally got to repair the Aurora Power One inverter of my friend by replacing the defective relay. We couldn't however test the the repaired inverter as my friend was keen to get a new one from another brand. Nevertheless I got some thoughts after that. As the Aurora inverter has 2 arrays but only being used in my case, could it be that the 4 relays are actually grouped by 2? In other words are 2 relays dedicated to Array1 and the 2 remaining ones to the 2nd array? This could mean that having 1 relay being defective, one could simply disconnect the DC input cables from the defective array and reconnect them to the unused array ! Do you know whether or not my thoughts are correct?
I have tried your suggestion on other models, Solis, etc, and it did not work. I think during initialisation the inverter checks itself and reports back any faults, even if it is not using those parts.
@bootsowen thanks for your feedback. At least it's worth to give it à try as done in not even à minute. A pity as well that these relais are not easily replaceable. Having each relay inserted onto a socket being welded itself to the board would have been a much more convenient way for reusing the Inverter and not trash it away.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I believe 2 relays are in series for the line (live) and the other 2 in series for the neutral, nothing to do with the DC arrays. The reason they are in series is for safety (so if the contacts of one relay were ever to weld on, the other relay would still disconnect).
Thanks a lot for this possible explanation. In case my Inverter is going to fail with an E031 error message, I'll however try to connect to the 2nd array. If it works, fine; otherwise I'll try to replace the relays.
This is really useful - thank you. Will there be any issues having the Aurora reset after such jobs - will it affect built-in readings or info which is required for FITs, for example? Thanks.
In our experience, none of the settings are affected, so you should be ok!
@@HDTechLogic Thank you. 🙂
can you change the hz. from 50 to 60 hz. in this incerter?????
Not sure. There is an engineering mode, but we don't know the code to access it. Maybe in the secret mode this is an option?
I made a big mistake buying a reconditioned 3.0 abb inverter from the uk. I completely forgot about them being on 50 hz. so is there any way to change it to 60 hz?
It may be possible, in the settings see if you can change the country and standard from g83(UK) to whatever applies in your region. I suspect that you can.
I haven't seen a way to change the frequency, however this may be in the engineering mode (requires code).
Great tutorial. Now the goal posts have changed on renewable, can you recommend a battery storage solution to tie into this at all please, keep up the great work, Thanks.
We've had good experience with GivEnergy battery storage systems. It may be worth having a look at them, although there are other companies that offer similar options.
Do you have the Service Code to get in deeper menu? i have the aurora pvi 3.0
Hi, thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, we are unfamiliar with the menu of that model. A website that appears to offer a PDF User Manual for this model is available here: hdtechlogicyt.page.link/JdNS however if it doesn't offer the information you need, try searching around a bit more on Google. Sorry we couldn't help on this one, but thanks again for the query!
0000 will get you past the first one. The next one is neither 00000 nor 11111 I'd suggest trying the last 5 of the inverter serial # or contact whoever you bought it from.
Thanks HD for this interesting video. One of my friends and myself have got the same Aurora inverters aged some 12y now. The one of my friend just failed with the E031 fault code and I expect mine to do the same at any time. If I'm right these relays are in charge of switching the inverter to the grid once a sufficient voltage is provided by the solar panels. So, as lower this threshold (can be set in the settings) as more current you're obviously going to provide to the grid but as more these relays are going to work by switching off and on (especially outside summer time)..... And subsequently as sooner they might be failing. Does this make sense to you ?
I'm not sure changing the threshold when the inverter kicks in would affect the current going through the relays, as there's not that much mains power being inverted when the panels are not lit strongly. Replacing the relays for new and strengthening the solder joints will give the unit a new lease of life. Thanks for your kind comments and interest.
I just repaired my Aurora thanks to you and this video! Thanks for sharing this precious knowledge! Warm regards!
Hi, thanks for the support! Glad that it worked for you!
Do you have the total wattage, or amperage? I have an issue with the same model. Thanks for posting this gents
Hi there, thanks for the comment and apologies for the late reply. Our system is no longer in our workshop and is not currently accessible for us to find that information. However, after some looking around online, I believe its total wattage is 3.6kW (however may differ on all units). If you have any other queries, please let us know! Thanks again!
Our inverter stopped working after 6+ years were quoted £1200 for replacement so searches the net for answers and found your TH-cam video we followed your instructions and low and behold exactly the same issue all now fixed and working fine we are very grateful for your video's saved us a lot of money and only took us about an hour to do.
Hi Helen, thanks for your comment! Glad to hear that your inverter's issue has been resolved, and thank you for your kind words.
hi .. my power-one say E011 error ... what can i do?
Hi - thanks for the query! We have not experienced this error, so cannot confirm what it means, so I would suggest you attempt searching it. From what I have found online, it suggests an internal error.
Very nice to see an 80s lift with relay logic. That’s the decade when relay logics were being phased out and lifts ran on computerised logics
Hi, thanks for the comment! After speaking with a few people in the life community who have also visited these lifts, they confirmed that it was mostly relay logic, however only a small amount of it was replaced with computerised logic. I believe it was door sensors and motors however I may be wrong. Thanks again for the comment and support!
Hi, where did you source the relays from. Thanks.
Hi @peter wainwright - thanks for the comment! The relays can be sourced from different suppliers however if you search it into the internet the most popular should be on sites like Amazon or Ebay. Make sure you're getting them in the "Brand New"" condition! By the way, we used Rapid Electronics (UK).
These relays are two pairs in series doing the grid disconnect, one pair on the Live side the other on the Neutral. One side of each pair of coils is commoned, the other side are driven by two different parts of the control circuits. Not sure why they designed it that way. Has anyone been able to find a schematic for these units? I've looked for a circuit diagram but not found one online
Hi @Paul Britton! Wish I could help with the schematic, however after some searching I'm also unable to find anything. Good luck!
I have posted on one of Andy's videos, that Hongfa HF165FD/12-HY1TF relays are the same spec... and are available from Rapidonline for £1.81 Inc VAT each.
Hi @Paul Britton! Thanks for your suggestions!
you can set the parameter „Vstart“ for each of the two inputs (Mpp trackers) down to 120 Volts - thats the low limit for starting the inverter to work. press Esc and manuver to „settings“, than put in four times zero „0000“ as the password. After that you can adjust the basic settings. For grid protection settings you will need a six-digit password, can be generated by the support of Fimer (taken over the business from ABB Solar). sunny greetings
Hi @Gonzobuster! Thanks for sharing.
Hello, 3000 watt solartronics full sinus inverter fault light is on. When the inverter is turned on, a relay tripping sound is heard, then the fault light is on, what do you think could be the problem?
Hi @suat aydemir. Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately we don't know about your inverter, however consider looking around the main circuit board to see if there is any visible damage around the relays. If there is, it could well be the relays / solder joints. Hope this helps.
Thank you. Changed 3 relays which had obvious issues with the solder joints Added extra wiring as you suggested Connected the two solar strings and ac. No more E031 error codes and generating electricity as before. Only difficulty was removing the relays after desoldering. One coil connection had not been fully desoldered and the fine track lifted as I was jiggling it about. Fortunately the track did not break . Just want others to be aware to use a good solder sucker and solder braid Once again many thanks
Hi Colin, thanks for your comment. Glad to hear that the video was of use! As you mentioned, it is very important to use powerful / quality soldering equipment. Also pleased to hear that the issue has been resolved for you!
Many thanks for making this video. My Aurora power one inverter failed after ten years in exactly the way you describe. I ordered the four relays via eBay from a very helpful company in Axminster, and they arrived within 24 hours. My inverter Is now repaired, and back to exporting to the grid. The only extra thing I had to do was reset the inverter clock, also described elsewhere on TH-cam. Thanks again guys
Hi Tim, thanks for your comment! Glad to hear that you easily got the equipment you needed, and of course got the inverter sucesfully repaired!
Hello, I have the same inverter that is ten years old that no longer works I have no faults the solar panels supply dc 230 volts but I have no watts coming out it lights up in the morning and goes out in the morning evening without production do you have an idea of the breakdown, thank you. I'm French sorry for the translation google.
Hi @Rocky 1962 - thanks for your comment. As demonstrated in the video, the most common cause for no power generation is the E031 error (as the common one at the moment, of course there are still other likely causes). To help out with this, could you please tell me if you are getting an error code on-screen? Thanks! Merci! (Aussi utilisé Google Traduction !)
Really nice and thank you for this awesome vedio, issue resolved
Thanks for the comment - glad to hear it helped!
Hi Gents. Fantastic video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Really helpful for a novice like me. My Aurora inverter has just shown the E031 error after 11 years of trouble free use. Opened it up and only one of my relays has overheated. So bad though that it burnt off the green solder mask or about 1cm at one pin. What size wire did you use for the jumpers?
Hi! Thanks for the comment. The wire we used was Rapid: 01-0601 (0.6mm single core wire). Hope that helps, if you have any other questions, we'll be glad to help!
@@HDTechLogic Cheers thanks! I resoldered the burnt relay like Andy Reynolds did but that didn't work. The relay is gone. I'm still waiting on new relays to arrive. Will get some 0.6mm wire in preparation. Thanks again for posting this video and for responding to my query.
Thank You so much I m very annoyed by watching different videos to install, none Of them worked. But after watching this video all I m so happy and relaxed that finally i get the method how to install. 😁
Hi, thanks for the comment! Glad that it worked for you, your positive comments are much appreciated!
That there was very interesting, taught me lots about electronic circut boards. Think Ill send them my board to fix when I can contact them
Hi @Pete Bransgrove! Thanks for your comment and positive feedback, and good luck with getting your inverter fixed!
Hi, Thanks for the reference, my series of videos all come from just wanting to know because this is a very common problem. Put it back in the loft, there's your problem, heat. I have a video about extending inverter life, cheers
Hi Andy, great to hear from you. Thanks again for your excellent videos, without which we would not have tackled repairing our Power One Aurora inverter. Since the repair in the video was done, the inverter has been working great, so we're very happy that we managed to give it new life. I do understand what you're saying about heat and that mounting these units in the loft isn't the best place. Unfortunately this is where the original installers located ours so very difficult to change now. Thanks for the comment and support!
I have a PVI-5000-OUTD-US/ SPR-5000P-TL-1 and I am having trouble changing it from 60hz to 50hz any advice?
Hi @David Brown! First of all, thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, your model of inverter isn't the one featured in the video, so being honest, I'm not too sure of the answer. However, I found what I could of the instruction manual, so hopefully you'll get some useful information there! hdtechlogicyt.page.link/Go5a Thanks again for your support!
@@HDTechLogic thanks and I was able to change it using a RS485 module ,USB type b cable and my laptop.
Besides different firmware settings, US inverters often expect that each hot is 120V to ground (our normal residential services are 240V supplied on 2 120V hots that are 180° out of phase). Some inverters can be set to ignore this for where it is connected to a high leg or 240V floating delta 3 phase feed, but many can't. In any case, the frequency and other UL 1741SA defined parameters can't usually be changed.
Hi mate Great video. Mines gone too. I have ordered relays. Soldering iron and tools needed. Only thing I haven’t got is the jump wire. Do you think it is entirely necessary to jump?also a tad confused on positioning on cable on both sides of pcb
Hi @roop hayre, hope you're well and glad you enjoyed the video. You need a powerful soldering iron to really get the joints properly hot to ensure they are reliable (ours is 80W if that helps). Jumper wires are there to add some extra conductive capacity and help soak the heat away from the relay pins. Make sure the solid core wire goes through the hole along with relay pin to help bulk-up the copper in the via (hole in circuit board where pin goes through). Hope this helps and feel more than free to ask if you have any queries. Thanks for your support!
@@HDTechLogic thanks for replying. Ordered same same iron as yours. Gonna order wire when home. Let u know the results when all parts arrive
just took mine apart and burn out on one pine, how ever relay diff company, do you think this will be an issue as ordered what u fitted.
Hi @roop hayre, thanks for the comments! First of all my apologies for replying very late, TH-cam didn't make me aware of these replies until very recently! The manafacturer may matter with the relays for this, but it really depends on the quality of the build. I would suggest that you use the same brand of relays that we used in the video, just since we know those work for this! Let me know how it goes with the relays that you get/got.
@@HDTechLogic thanks for replying. Tried new relays but sadly still same. Ended up purchasing a second hand one to fix. Thanks once again. Great video by the way.
Great 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks very interesting. I have the same inverter and it failed 2 years in with the same error code. I got mine replaced by ABB who have taken over guarantee work. But I have seen Andy's repair on his site showing the relay failure.
Hi @Martin Winfield, interesting to hear! It's a shame but looks like these units are dropping like flies almost everywhere! Glad to hear you managed to get yours replaced. Thanks for your support!
