It certainly was you are certainly right about that just look at the whole Top Thrill 2 Debacle that went down at Cedar Point earlier this year in late spring and early Summer as well as how it’s ending losing two of Great Adventure’s Signature Markey Coasters in Green Lantern and especially the big elephant in the room Kingda Ka And Honestly Twenty Twenty Five will be a truly exceptional Year for Coasters all over the World in Quite Some time to tell you the Truth

Good to see sea world up there I’m from Melbourne and when I go to Gold Coast the leviathan is the first line I’d go to If kind of be happy if the wooden outside was painted blue Storm coaster is also perfect for hot Gold Coast days You get a spray of water and you can ether get soaked or just damp to cool down When I went to Gold Coast my family bought as multi stay pass At SeaWorld resort which allows you to enter SeaWorld without waiting in such a big line to get in. The multi stay pass allowed me to go to SeaWorld movie world wet n wild over just 5 days

I dont care what people think, this is a classic and it gives me the early 2k vibes, i love to ride them even multiple times in a row. For people that think this is rough, they never rode a vintage wooden coaster like Anaconda in Walygator, that thing jerked crazy with their old trains 🤣 now they changed to newer trains and they smoothened some turns so the ride is more confortable for the GP

This is mostly location, but I'm most excited for Yoy! It's the first big coaster to come to my neck of the woods in seven long years. And to have a home park with three RMCs (I definitely count Yoy as two separate rides) is pretty awesome. The stupid name only makes it better. I'm agnositc about Falcons Flight. A coaster on that scale must necessarily be very slow paced, and it seems to do relatively little with all that height and speed except impress and dominate. Like you said... if anyone can pull it off, it's Intamin. But also: if anyone can eff it up, it's Intamin!

Sad cause I think the park is currently at its best! The new rides are so good

The price you stated for Gumbuya World is misleading. That’s the price point if you go when only the rides and wildlife sections are open, with no access to the water park.

I went to seaworld the week that the storm coaster opened, and it was pretty good, but no comparison to bermuda triangle. I mean, what can beat the sight of a fire breathing volcano right? Anyway the second time i rode the storm coaster there was no fog/ mist on the drop into the back of the upside down ship, and the spinning propeller was gone from the back of the ship, so it totally lost its appeal and now looks like you're just going into a strangely shaped house. Ride theatrics like splash cannons and sounds inside the building had also been turned off, and the mountains of debris and such that gave the ride its appeal in the entrance line had also been removed and replaced with black walls and some empty warehouse shelving.

Aside from Falcon's Flight (which may be 2026) I'd have to go with Alpenfury or Starfall Racers - hard to choose!

Definitely anticipating Epic Universe heavily. I went ahead and bought an opening day ticket. I know it's probably gonna be busy and a cluster but just to be there and be a part of history will be something special.

My biggest complaint about the two Mack coasters I’ve ridden - Steel Taipan and DC Rivals - is they have a high frequency vibration. It seems MW has fairly recently eliminated that irritation so I hope DW can do likewise, because with a glossy smooth Vekoma opening next month, it’s going to make the Mack vibration so much more obvious.

I have loved my visits to Funfields. The go-carts & water park were so much fun. The staff were friendly & the gardens were beautifully maintained.

u can get a sea world resort booking and u get a ticket and u can go to all the theme parks in gold coast like wet n wild movie world and sea world and its so much cheaper than getting bookings for all of them and u dont have to get a hotel bc u alr have one.

if only these coasters were coming to australia.

As much as I want to ride Falcon’s Flight it makes me sad to know I never will, as a Queer person I cannot go to Saudi Arabia in good conscience. Though even if I were Cis and Het I would still be wary about it.

If you are ever in Germany again, I cannot recommend Phantasialand highly enough. Some of the best theming I have ever seen in a park, along with some really unique coasters

Outback splash in wa has had major changes and more rides to come over the coming years. Though i personally think adventure world is better when it comes to major rodes including the big water slides, it definitely should be on the list for a day out. Im still yet to work out some of their mazes. Some are like puzzles where the rules are no left turns 😅 aparantly theres a way but im yet to figure it out

i love gumbaya world

The last time i went to dream world which was last year, was abysmal. Only one coaster was open, the rest were doing maintenance or something and tbh it wasn’t even that good of a coaster. Giant drop wasnt working and the raceing roller coaster is the most uncomfortable ride ive ever been on. There was nothing to do. My family left early and went back to movie world for the second time that week (we had a multi day pass) unless dream world gets their crap together i wont be going back. Movie world takes my heart. Still a commendable list though :)

Movieworld always loses me because they just throw rides anywhere with no themeing. Like, scooby doo just sits there on its own. There’s now a DC ride right next to it. All of the western area shut down except for Wild West and it’s so weird. I really feel they need to spilt it into sections like disneyworld, dare I say it. I also think movieworld has a lot of dead space. A lot of empty white buildings with nothing in it. The studio tours they used to do were amazing. I wish they’d re-incorporate them.

funfields isnt good ive been like 20 times and its so boring the lines are insane you have to wait atleast an hour just to go on the smaller slides theres also no more go karts and its turning into a lazy river i just think its not worth the money and food is so overpriced

I can never ever get myself to want to go to SeaWorld, the presence of the polar bear is just too depressing.

I’m surprised dreamworld was number 1. I used to work there but had to quit recently because the management is so bad! I would only get one shift every 2 weeks maybe and they once forgot about me for 3 months. But I do think the park is good. Usually the lines are really short so that’s a plus. The night markets are also pretty fun.

fortunate in my youth to go to the GC twice. my impression at the time was that i enjoyed white water world more than wet n wild but that was more than a decade ago so hard to tell these days. i also enjoyed sea world more than the other 4 parks but that is because i was and am still a big animal lover . as a theme park fan i still hold the belief that a big theme park is possible outside sydney at a ~1.5hr drive distance to allow for space and for the land not to be too expensive probably north near mangrove mountain etc although maybe if theres space out west they could extend the airport link train for the new airport to a themepark site.

Goshdang, these prices are outrageous! I get why the prices are so high - you know, they have to cover not only staff but also ride maintenance - but goshdang, if I knew these prices were so high when I was a kid, I think I'd have been more vocal about only going to *one* of the theme parks per holiday.
