I've no overlap between my Vekomas and your Vekomas, but Vekoma is also the absolute king of my credit list (45 out of 172, nearly three times as many as number two, Mack). I can't help but be a Vekoma fan! Here's my Vekoma top ten! 1. Abyssus, Engergylandia 2. FLY, Phantasialand 3. Formula, Energylandia 4. Python, Efteling 5. Lech Coaster, Legendia 6. Colorado Adventure, Phantasialand 7. Dragon, Energylandia 8. Loup-Garou, Walibi Belgium 9. Vogel Rok, Efteling 10. Megablitz, Wiener Prater My favourite piece of Vekoma trivia is that the company was active in the mining industry long before they built amusement rides. If you ever ride a Vekoma mine train coaster, remember that Vekoma (Veld Koning Machine factory) once got their start making real, actual mine trains!

It would have been better if they could have introduced a version which swings 360° and runs two ride cycles - non-inverting swing and inverting swing - giving Dreamworld essentially two new rides for the price of one like Dragon Slayer. The Claw scares the pants off me every time and King Claw probably doubly so!

Replacing it with bigger and better is the best move. The Claw is too iconic. All other rides except the giant drop (and the wipeout RIP) can be replaced with something new, but the icons should stay.

Though I have so many fond memories of the Claw and I'm sad to see it go... I have always hated the restraints with a passion! Not female-friendly! 😅

Whenever I get an existential crisis over how many credits I have, I just tell myself ‘Roller Coaster! Fun! Weeeeeeeee!’

The best Vekoma I've done is F.L.Y. which is a masterpiece and my number 2 overall behind Colossos at Heide Park. The launches are pretty good, but it's the completely unique experience of the high speed banked turns through amazing theming where you are facing directly away from the track the whole time. Throw in two powerful corkscrews and it's really no wonder that this ride is so good.

Really hope the Firestorm model makes a few more parks. It does look incredible.

My favourite Vekoma is Anything That Isn’t Infusion, the only ride that’s worse (that I’ve been on) is Hero.

Besides the idea of something not seen before, I don't think they couldn't done a better replacement for the claw. I think we're gonna be surprised how much it'll dominate the skyline with it being larger than Steel Taipan and Gold Coaster, and If Dreamworld can focus its marketing on how much bigger and scarier this is, I reckon it'll be a good success and no doubt a worthy replacement.

Honestly, I prefer this. The Claw has been a favourite of mine since I was a kid. If it must be replaced, a similar ish ride is the way to go.

If a coaster gets a lot rougher the experience has changed probably more so than most clones or relocations, but most wouldn't count that a new credit but many (most?) would for clones and relocations on account of being different experiences. I think it's nice to track what are clones, relocations, or kiddies so you have different metrics to think about.

SUPERMAN: Escape From Krypton, forward left track and backward right track I counted as two different credits, same for Mr. Freeze reverse Blast. The switch tracks are different but main track isn't, but it's really more about the difference in experience. I track which are clones and give a type for each coaster, so I'm interested in getting my non-kiddie, non-clone count higher.

The name is so bad, its brilliant. Just think about it, people will talk about this just cause its such a weird name. free publicity. i love it. Been to walibi holland last year and LOVED untamed, imo best coaster in europe (that ive ridden) So im deffo going back once this opens!
