My phone connect to Ghost XL wifi, however once connected it says no internet connection?

To much for my tiny brain all I wanted was a camera I could switch on to record and anotherto play back this things got more menus and settings than Concord so it going back. Can any one suggest a camera for dummies?

I had a Ghost XL Pro and it was truly dreadful. The battery would not hold a charge and despite reaching out to Drift on many occasions, and the fact it was still in warranty, they would not help at all. Their after sales service is non existent and, interestingly, you will not find an address or telephone number for them anywhere on their website!! I would highly recommend not buying one of these cameras but go for something like the DJI Oslo Action 4, a far better all round camera.

I bought the Ghost Xl Pro as a motorcycle helmet camera to record any possible incidents on the road. What do I press to save a particular video clip of interest? I do not have the remote control. With other dash cameras usually there is a dedicated button that you can pres to save or "tag" a videoclip of interest. So it won't be deleted by the loop recording of the camera.

How do you get into a menu setting to change it? The wifi example is not illustrative as you pressed the wi-fi on/off button. Any help appreciated

Drift life doesn’t recognize my camera despite being connected. Edit: it wasn’t connecting correctly due to disallowing location data. Research will be later.

Just bought this for £122 best deal I could find. J&S uk priced matched one i found on ebay for sale. Can I as as I can not find any info on what i am about to ask. If I get on my bike and press record how long will it record for as I often ride for 6 or 7 hours.

It asks for a password. I didn't put one in. So must have a default which I can't find.

I've just bought one of these waiting for it to arrive, but just heard you mention you have a 256gb card in the camera, on the Drift website it suggests takes cards upto 128gb. Wondering now whether to buy a larger card

Maaaan' this is as frustrating as trying to work out the awful instructions supplied by Drift 😮 STOP MAKING VIDEOS UNTIL "you" HAVE LEARNED TO OPERATE THEM PROPERLY..cuz this is not helpful!

TBH there's nothing 'simple' about setting this camera up. I got it for a motorcycle helmet and a week later I still cannot figure out how to do dashcam - the instructions are so poor. You need to be a rocket scientist to understand the setting up procedure - which is very poorly supported in the accompanying 'handbook'. My advice is - avoid it...

Hi, please can you tell me, as of this year, what the latest firmware is. the website says 2029 and when I pair the phone, it tells me to install 2046 on to the Ghost from the phone..?

After I connect to the wifi of my xl the app doesn’t allow me to click “next”

I've found this to be a really frustrating camera, but primarily the app. It keeps saying it doesn't recognise the SD card and then it either does connect via Wi-Fi or it doesn't. If you need a reliable camera the Drift is not it.

I've given up on this camera , really shoddy app, never records properly and I've had issues retrieving the video once recorded. Not worth the effort and frustration.

i`ve just buy a xl pro. at fist connection with app, i had a ""livestream" now. i don`t have it anymore... dont know why.. do you have any ideea? also... if i`m connected, always when i press recording, app crash X( (app version 8.6.6)

Hi my drift ghost xl sometimes freeze and stop flashing red light. on red light then without flashing and not recording, then i have to press stop bottom and hold for 30sec to turn off. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks

Just bought a Ghost 4K+. It connects to my phone but I never get any video. Just says "Loading" FOREVER. Annoying as hell.

My first unit failed and stopped recording. Had it replaced by my local vendor, now second unit won’t charge or switch on. Have a class 10 memory card, firmware up to date, have tried resetting with a pin, tried with multiple charging cables… Shame, because when they work, they’re great.

Adding up all the short videos it took instead of one long video. Seems like I only Got about 4 hours worth of video. Plenty of room left on the sd card

HI, thanks for your video! I just bought a Ghost XL, one thing that's got me a bit baffled; Before first use the manual says to format the SD card, and download the BIN file and copy it to the card. Does this have to be done before inserting the card into the camera, or can it be done through the App? Some cards are pre-formatted with FAT32, is this what the camera requires? Thanks!

Numerous Product descriptions all say: "DVR Mode - use the Ghost XL Pro as a safety camera by recording continuously when plugged into a power supply." So does that mean this model cannot record continuously when not plugged in? I.e. when out for a ride on my bike?? Yikes!

What about demonstrating mounting hardware for a motorcycle or bicycling helmet? Handlebars?

If you are not buying these for night vision have you heard of the wonderful invention called a camera?
