hehe i know this is a older video but so many mistakes was made you ignored obvious signs and settled in hostile territory when the holy nation is literally at war with the shek also the ninja raid is always like that it is not a bug they try to steal all your food and will stay around for a while until they are satisfied eventually they leave
Awesome collection. Is that kepri bundle using a projector for those golden "wing" things?
Yeah it is.
I love you so much. I’ve been watching this in increments as I prepare and go to work! Fr it’s a life saver to listen to u play and I get excited to come home and game instead of hate my job actively lol
Also I’m adopting your mentality of enjoying on sleepless hour or few before work and not letting it affect your day
Glad you've been enjoying the series! Hopefully you don't miss too much sleep, but I'm happy if my method ends up working for you too. :)
If you don't want your guys to automatically engage in any fight while you try to run them quickly to safety, you click hold and passive. Then they will just run and not engage. Otherwise, they will also attempt to fight or to block any attack. Edge 2 is something that you can "possibly" make if your weapon smith is above lvl 80 if you have done the edge walker research. You cannot make meitou yourself which is the highest level weapon that you can get in this game. Running around looting is only a small part of the game.
I used shek hundred guardians in Squin as my training tools in one of my playthroughs using the cages in their police station. LOL AND in my current playthrough, I figured that you didn't even need cages. Just build an open outpost right next to a HN military base. They will send 1 to 5 paladins to attack you day and night non-stop. Just make sure you have enough food and beds. LOL
No videos on here for a while hope youre ok.
Doing well, thanks. I've been working on a few moding projects for another game, but I'll be back to Kenshi soon! I've got the itch.
That's good to hear. I've been missing your kenshi content.
The Whinnybago Coach really lacks solar panels on the roof. All RVs nowadays have 1 or 2 solar panels on their roof. Also one thing I do not like in SE builds is the fact that some blocks have the same functionnality in large and small grid but weight considerably more and take a lot more space in large grid. To the point in most large grid builds, I have to link a small grid subgrid to fit smaller and lighter timer blocks and event controllers.
If my character's too slow you can always switch his armour once he hits higher strength stat. Of course Crab armor is purely for defence and dmg absorbtion so it lowers attack stats , you can add the taunt option to the character and he'll try to absorb more attacks before going down. And also people keep telling you about a pack beast because characters with backpack get penalties too so we always try to limit that.
Yeah, they shouldn't have too much of a problem with movement speed. We have a few heavy tankers in the party already so we're never fast when moving as a group. That's ok. I know the trader's backpacks in particular have higher penalties, it works out fine with the tank characters holding them though. The tanks have more armor to absorb the extra hits, and they usually have the strength to avoid encumbrance from filling them. I may switch a few traders backpacks to the ranged characters instead, because I don't think they hinder that type of attack anyway. If you'd prefer your character to wear a certain type of backpack I'm totally open to it, just let me know which. :)
I never research the skelly limbs since its way easier to just steal or buy them at masterwork in the craphouse or at any mechanical shop
Yeah, by the time you reach the tech you probably have better ways to get them. Like you said, money and thievery are way easier. That's why they ended up being the last thing I'm going to research. I really want to make every possible item this playthrough though, so I'm going for it. :D
Crab armor is the tankiest gear there is and covers EVERYTHING
I'm looking forward to have a full masterwork set to ogle at.
If youre looking to buy or steal the blueprint for the crab armor, youre gonna have to find the crab capital town and ally their queen Also you can put AI cores in a bench at your outpost and pay for the research there while your main base makes the actual research
OOoh, I'll have to do that next time with the research. Spoiler: I found the crab blueprints!
@@more_shifty Oh shit! Nice! Did I miss that in a past episode xD
thank god you left the queen there, you weren't ready for the retaliation
Hahaha, I'll take your word for it. I was feeling pretty confident that I could (considering we've already defeated Igor), but maybe a massive swarm would have been too much.
@@more_shifty The swarm's one thing but the leader, he's something else xD Although you have walls now so it shouldn't be as much of an issue. Also I don't remember if my mods added anything different to the base game assault, maybe the memory's screwed
Also you should train characters with cutting weapons. Because that increases their dexterity
It's on my list, next time we're all at the Doughnut. I'll train everyone with katanas in the arena.
Skeletons don't really heal on regular bed, they require Skeleton repair bed
Don't know if you've learned this yet but a character can carry another and that ''unconscious'' one isn't affected by the acid rain
I didn't know that, I heard they don't have to eat while carried though. Interesting.
Nice video
Thanks!
Are you familiar with the in-game editor? (Shift-F12) I've found it makes building much more enjoyable. Just get the object close to your desired position then use the editor to fine tune it. Select the building, click interior edit mode then select the specific object to adjust. After you're done moving it exit the editor and do a quick save and load.
I'm not sure if I've every used that. I'll definitely give it a try, thanks!
Shift-F12 is a godsend. You can level buildings, place items closer together like storage and crafting, and make your base feel authentic.
I know you don't like having animals but at the level you're at now it will help alot if you have a pack beast that way your fighters can fight better without wearing those stacking bags making fights more difficult especially against stronger enemies plus it won't starve like before seeing how food isn't a issue anymore.
If you come across a plastic surgeon, can you change kenpachi to tall and fit? Thank you. Sorry if it's asking too much.
I'll give the animals a shot again, maybe it'll be easier to micromanage now. It would be very nice when carrying things to start outposts (which I plan to do more of eventually). I'll change Kenpachi, no problem.

It looks like the crestline entity from star trek
Maybe it was discussed before, first video of yours that I'm watching, so dunno if you use mods, but there's a mod called training weapons. It does 0 damage so you can train with it.
It has been mentioned, it's a good idea. I'm not adding mods until I've explored the entire world, but I plan to do plenty after that so I'll likely add it.
You might be surprised to know, Agnu might be a beautiful lady. And you might want to keep Beep close to Agnu. Also that is a Soldier Bot. If you plan to go into the ashlands, or a part in the deadlands, you might be seeing more of them.
Interesting, I'll keep an eye out for them. Unfortunately Beep already passed away in this playthrough. :(
@@more_shifty Beep and Spade died when 42 of my guys invaded Blister Hill on Day 100. I have recruited 105 (if they didn't die 107) in my 100/100 challenge of recruiting and training 100+ in 100 days. If you want to run around fighting and YET be able to build a good base(s) for good food, high grade weapons, crossbows, armors, ..., you need to recruit at least 30 guys. building a base also allows some of your guys to train athletics, strength, and crossbows AUTOMATICALLY by running around hauling iron and to guard your outpost. I always use the 256 mod, but no other mod to play this game. Running around looting these ancient labs is really boring and time consuming in the long run, unless you want to get AI cores and other research material to make your weapons and stuff. After a while, if you only loot and kill, your game become pretty boring, unless you have some specific goal in mind, say to recruit and train all the special characters in this game. In my next and probably last run, I will create 10 medics to heal all the enemies that I fight against. You will be surprised that you can recruit some of your enemies (bandits) by healing them or releasing them from prison cages. This game is richer than most people realize.
I have been watching your Kenshi series from episode 1 and I finally caught up to this episode. Just wanna say that when you mentioned about a mod that lets you craft animal armor from gathering their drops like a Skimmer armor set, it actually exist and I have been using it in my current playthrough too! It's called BBgoat's Beastforge on steam workshop. Anyhow, keep up the Kenshi episodes, Shifty!
Glad you've been enjoying the series. :) I'll look it up Beastforge, that's always been something I thought would be cool. I'll probably wait till I've explored the whole world before adding mods, but it's on my list. Hopefully it can be added to an already running world.
@@more_shifty Yes, I have been enjoying the series as a whole! I do wish you could change the playlist order so it goes descending instead of the way it is currently set up that the latest episode begins first, but no biggie and more of a mere inconvenience when I was trying to play them from episode 1. And yep, most of the mods can be added mid-game without much of an issue. You will probably need to do an import save rather than the typical load save from the main menu. Just a note of caution though*, import will despawn a couple of game elements, including dead bodies, random loot that have been discarded outside of storage containers, and npc like contracted mercenaries and kidnapped people outside of prison cages etc. So better to resolve those stuff before any import! *Import will also wipe certain world states, and without diving much into spoiler territory, one of them is erasing all the unique prisoners held inside the Tengu's Vault tower (the one you tried sneaking into this video haha). There are mods that can help reset those state triggers and specifically respawn the affected npcs, but otherwise it can be quite annoying that import would affect this in the first place.
Assign manning a turret to a characters job list and place it at the very bottom of the job list. When you get raided move the turret job to the top and then back down again when the fighting is over. If someone has the job of say cooking and you just manually tell them to get on a turret they will man the turret for a moment then go back to cooking. Making it a job and moving the turret job to the top tells them to go man that turret and stay there.
That's a good tip. I'll definitely start doing that. (You won't see it for a few episodes though, I recorded a bunch already cause I'm on going out of town for two weeks.)
You don't need turret. Instead you can use archers to guard your outpost. Let them hold and range will get them more xbow xp while they are guarding the base. In fact, I don't even use any wall. This way, my archers get more opportunities to sense and shoot at anything around my open base(s).
Sure that would work fine but you'll be manually moving them to the wall and changing them to Hold. Of course in a perfect world you just have skeleton turret dudes 24/7. To each their own of course, if archer only/no walls defense is your bag more power to ya.

Might be wise to get yourself a pack bull for the wayward team. You could get a garru but let's be honest why would you not want a pet bull?
I'm keeping to the 30 character limit, so I'm only recruiting humanoids for now. We're almost full already.
@@more_shifty which is why I proposed to keep a dead one with a backpack on so you can use him as portable storage xD

Is this that mmorpg that is really in depth, like an hardcore wow? I heard of jt and definitely want to try it
No, this is an old single player game. It's a blast though.

Haha, thanks.

Kaegere had the cannibal wizard and he's still got a cannibal on his back when you're making cages then I see him sleeping so he lost the wizard somewhere between that. Did you send Kaegere to sleep? cause if you did he might have put the wizard in bed and the wizard was mostly healed by then and took off.
That might have been it. He probably ran back to his hut when he healed. I went back and captured him again though, so it turned out ok.
Can you slow down the speed in combat it's nice to witness the progression from where you started in stead of speed blitzing it
I'll try to do that more often. A lot of times if I know how the combat is going to end up I'll let it play fast. Definitely when we're fighting harder opponents I like to slow it down.
Arrow smith forges the heads. Fletcher makes the arrow. Stringfellow makes the bowstring. Bowyer makes the bow.
Crazy. There's a name for everything. I've heard of fletcher and bowyer before, the others are new to me.
The secret to streaking bandits is to repeat the dialogue they say whenever you get a chance to talk to them look at the weird stuff they say and repeat it back
I usually get it right when they talk to me. Sometimes they attack without talking though. -_-
Check out the thumbnail character artist's blog here: pastwiska.tumblr.com/
I've only recently came across your channel, but I really like what I'm seeing so far! Love how you added certain elements to your base purely for aestethics and immersion. It makes the base look much more realistic and lived-in and I'm all for it.
Thanks! I really like my bases to feel cozy and enjoy adding a lot of little details.
Ah nice a new video! Keep it up man
I am your 1K subscriber 😄
Hooray! XD Thanks for the sub, hope you enjoy the content to come.

Been enjoying the kenshi vods keep up the good work. Btw not to be worsen i would rather my character go back to katana for now Kenpachi. Thank you
Thanks. Sure, he can go back to katanas.
Thanks for the character. A good tip for a starting crafter is choose repeat que on whatever gear takes the longest to make. You'll save on materials while their getting better.
I usually do a little mental math and go for whatever material I have surplus of. Doing the longer projects will definitely reduce the number of low quality "training items" I produce though.
Coolio more or less did it right. Ive been waiting for this to drop am really enjoying this series. Thanks
Glad you're enjoying it, it's been fun to play.
This ep was the last one I had to catch up with after my travel break and It was such a cool opportunity to have a closer look at what You did to the base! I love all the details, personality and storytelling layer You add to everything. The glorious building with sneaking training grounds is my favourite. And the arena (because violence!) Thank You for making and publishing all those videos!
Nice! I'm looking forward to working on the village more when I get back.
I highly approve of all the crime we are committing :D go team!
As far as my character Kenpachi i don't mind if he encumbered because it will help his strength at the end of day
Yeah, he's getting stronger. That's partially why I wanted him to train heavy weapons before the rest, It'll help him move with his heavy armor. I think he's about ready for something new (katanas, heavy weapons, and blunt are at 30 already). I try to reduce encumbrance during potentially dangerous fights, or when I want to travel fast though.
Enjoying the great content
I’m currently building mine on the edge of the swamp, just enough to grow hemp and rice weed
Nice, let me know how the raids are around there.
@@more_shifty so far it’s been the black dragons and red sabres, not too bad if you have some Mercs and a nice turret setup. You also get UC tax and holy nation mumbo jumbo tho. We’ll see if I end up slapping the priest.
Ok, I subbed now, lol
You can actually become allied with the beak things, Francis John has a video where he does it. He settled in Gut after and he could literally walk around them and take their eggs at will.
Nice. Maybe we'll befriend them some day, for now they're archery targets.
