Do you have any tips on how to stop host from taking breaks, segmenting the podcast into part 1, 2, etc?
Sorry, do you want to break your podcasts into multiple parts? If so, one option is to restrict the sources in podcast customization and generate one at a time. OR logically group the content into multiple notes -> Convert them to sources -> Now generate audio against each source.

Great videos! I'd love to see more details on the best way to insert a custom voice that replaces one or both of the podcast hosts. I've transcribed the NotebookLM podcast but the process of swapping out a voice on a 17min podcast is seems very time consuming
It's not possible in NotebookLM unfortunately. Couple of other options - You can try Illuminate, it's very similar to NotebookLM voices but there are few more voices in there. I have a video for it as well. Other option is to use other services like Descript, ElevenLab, MurfAI, Wondershare etc.,

At 2:31 you "asked for an outlin." How did you do that? Is how to do that in another of your videos? If so, please let me know by answering this comment. Great stuff!
We can't really ask it to simply write a book, it will go crazy. So, I set the context that we are going to write a book and as a first step I asked it to write the Table of Contents and Chapters list with some reasoning. First, we want to iterate on that to finalize the chapters. Once done, it's ideal to ask it to write one chapter at a time to maintain quality and hint corrections along the way. So it captures the feedback in next iterations. Browse online for Chain-Of-Thought prompting!

Yes, I'm subscribed. I'm going crazy with NotebookLM and can't get enough help. I'm learning to write short fiction stories and I'm trying to figure out how to use NotebookLM to help. This week I figured out (sort of) how to critique a short fiction story. I managed to do it but I'm not shure how I did it. I did three stories and will be in my critique group later today. I'm going to try to write down all the steps to make sure I can do it right each time ... and perhaps improve it and share it. Perhaps I'll also make a video about how to do it. Thanks for some great help. I'm going to watch every video in your have now.

I think the N-LM voices are better, to me, sound more real, a touch more emotion or something, even with the same script. I'll use 11labs to change the voices, but thinking about just going with N-LM straight to youtube, who cares if the voices sound the same. It's the content that counts.

Impressive! I also have an effective approach for you to explore. Prompt in the chat something along the lines of - "How should I customise a podcast to discuss these sources for an expert audience? " (this could be tweaked in lots of ways) then copy this out into a note and tweak with other LLMs to get: another source note and give it a title relating to customisation; a less than 500 characters customisation prompt. Interested in feedback. Jim

My favorite was the prompt for different languages, i also wasted a lot of audio generations on it and never got it consistent...

The updated NotebookLM interface doesn't look like this anymore. I don't see a customize button anywhere.
They still have Customize button and it is on the right-side panel under Audio Overview.

@@Mp3Pintyo - I see what's going on! I believe you already have a podcast created that's why you don't see Customize and Generate buttons. You can't customize already created podcast. Please delete the current podcast, then before you generate one you can customize and then click Generate ! Hope that solves it !
You're great! You're right! You can only see it if you haven't created any audio in that notebook yet.
In your Playlist "NotebookLM Tutorial" this video (i.e., NotebookLM Power Tips That 99% Don't Know (2025 Guide)) appears at position #4. Given its basic overview quality for beginners, I suggest placing it as the very FIRST video in the playlist.
