    • @_ARUS_
      @_ARUS_ 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jdsofar My starter was dying so it wasn't related to the remote starter. As for the coolant reservoir if you don't do it right then you'd have to buy a special kit that sucks out all of the air from the coolant pipes and replaces the negative pressure with the new coolant fluid (in simple words you can't have air bubbles or your car will overheat). I put clamps on the hose coming out of my reservoir and emptied it with one of those big syringes, replaced it and put the new reservoir and filled it then removed the clamps; luckily I didn't introduce any air to the system. Watch some videos on how to remove it because I think one of the bolts that fixes it in place is only accessible if you remove the left headlight; also when you put it back there are some tracks that you need to align it on to have it stable, not a complicated job just do you research before you approach it.

    • @Jdsofar
      @Jdsofar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@_ARUS_ right the air is my biggest concern about it. My Cayenne 957 3.6L was overheating last winter and I wasn't sure why. It would only go to 100 on the gauge for a moment than quickly drop back down to half where it should be. never got the warning on the dash for overheating. So I checked my coolant level and it was below minimum. I simply topped it back up to max but am unsure if I introduced air into the system by opening it up and topping it off. Either way It still seemed to overheat on the gauge briefly after topping off but would always drop back down soon after. I told my mechanic and he didn't seem too concerned since the warning message never popped up and it corrected itself by dropping shortly after. I still didn't like it happening at all tho. Then it got warmer weather wise here in Ontario( spring started) and it doesn't ever overheat ever anymore once the weather got nicer; but if it overheats again in the winter when the weather gets colder I think it's either the water pump or thermostat that is causing the issue and I will have both replaced at the same time. 09 at 189,000k kms now

    • @_ARUS_
      @_ARUS_ 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jdsofar opening the reservoir and topping it won’t introduce air; try to find the leak before you invest in replacing different parts, there are some cheap kits on Amazon that basically you pump air into the reservoir (i.e. pressurize it) and if the gauge shows that the pressure is not dropping (highly unlikely in your case since you keep topping yours) then there’s no leak, otherwise there must be a leak; usually it’s where the 2 halves of the reservoir are welded, mine was the weld on the backside of the reservoir (i.e. the side facing the windshield).

  • @Jdsofar
    @Jdsofar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is very cool. Thanks for the tutorial. This would be so nice to have installed on my Cayenne. The remote start would be great to turn on and warm up my cayenne for a few minutes in the winter before I drive it. That would save me like 5 minutes every time I start my car in the winter instead of using the key like normal and sitting and waiting. Would just have to get around to taking the time to install this but it looks pretty straightforward and I like a challenge.

      @@Tran0370 yes I’m very happy with it; especially for the winter since I can start the car remotely to warm it up. On a side note, after a lot of troubleshooting I found out that the optional bluetooth adapter (for the phone app) is slowly draining my battery so I disconnect it in the summer since I only use the app in the winter. Again the phone app is optional, you can still start the car remotely with the key (press the open button then press and hold the close button).

    Killer job on this one my dude! Really digging your tone and riffage the whole way through as it’s super clean! Where these guys are a huge influence, maybe you’d dig our new tune we dropped this morning! Either way keep up the fantastic work brother, look forward to seeing future covers from you! 🤘🏻Loving the Ibanez btw!
