These guys were about 10 seconds off the pace of the national series cars......
And now we are moving towards EV'S 🤢🤮
A moment of appreciation for the Castrol commercial at the end. Oils ain't oils...? That's a horrible slogan
I was there!
I miss those days.....I used to trek to Winton, Sandown and Calder Park to watch these machines. It's all too...predictable these days. How can the Sports Sedans Championship still being won by a 30 year old car
GREAT STUFF BUD
thankyou
Nice one Pierz
Never forget watching the races here
1.8 litre z18et engine awesome motor and great driving from Scott here
If you're still about - it was the 1.8 for sure? Not an LZ?
@@ZedThirtyOne_Z31_ the George fury Bathurst bluebird was a z18. Mike Raymond claims in the video that this is fury's car from last year.. the engine could have been modified/changed though for sports sedans, I can't say for sure. I have read that the L Series heads flow better so its possible but it would have been a lot of work to change as nothing is comparable as far as the intake and exhaust setups
fantastic, absolutely fantastic
That yellow Torana was just a bit too wide.
Wonder what happened to Gary Scott, easily one of the most under rated Australian drivers ever.
Where youve been man!! Whens ur next upload bro!! Hope to see ya around💯
The era when Sports Sedans consisted not only of "pure" Sports Sedans, but also superseded/obsolete touring cars.
Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for the upload Pierz. Very cool bit of footage. Can I ask where you got the footage from? An old VHS?
+datzed hi mate, I had a guy contact me because of my father and gave me this race and many others of old sports sedan races from back in the day
+datzed they were on dvd from vhs
Cool vid,
Maaaate that was a nice save at the dog leg. Did you need to change after that?
+Mark Henry hahaha no mate! didn't actually think about til after the race lolol
Use to enjoy driving up that stretch until it was closed to the public
Go Simon
Shit that sounds good mate. I'd love to do that, closest I get is iRacing lol.
Nice vid Pierz, the car sounds great, inside and out!
Rare to see the red beast needing saving! Good job..
Yep - gearing is definitely wrong..... other than that nice work!
ahh mate, brilliant battle, really had to work for it, so good to watch
Nice race Pierz great to watch. There was a fair bit of blocking going on there.
LAUNCHED! ... through the gate! nice work buddy!
Nice Pierz.
Great run, you were busy!

greeedy on the throttle haha
Nice save there, mate!

It's a VL sports sedan
What car is that Piers?
200bhp With Chip?? What mods?
Not bad for your first run in that car dude! It's got a bit of pick upGlad you smoked that smokey Nissan!
Nice Pierz really cool, the car sounds great. Bet you had fun!
Super!!
That looked like a good run mate. Traction out of the hairpin (in both directions) looks like its a bit tricky though. Still it looks like it was a great day. Congrats.
Damn mate, thats pretty quick! Yeah agree with loadedbm you need to get that Audio sorted out, I might just have a plan for that :-)
sweet dude ... we need to sort that camera out tho
Love the nice wide power band too. Should stay super quick once you get out of first.
Lucky save mate. And this, folks, is why you don't track your daily drive. Would have have been a whole other level of crap if it wasn't your track car.
Mate that was close
wow....lucky bastard !
Well that should do the job.
