Running abit rich i'd say!! 😂 👍
MOW ballast train nice catch
Nice
At 1:56 ish you can hear the slack run out or in. My guess is the engineer knocked down the throttle or backed off the dynamic and that force went through the train and found the weak knuckle. Changes in terrain over scanners can be difficult because you can't use the air brakes on the cars cause there's a good chance it will set off the detector with hot wheel alarms.
Those mountains are so beautiful in the background
Fake video.
Thanks airing and sharing the outstanding video with magnificent locomotives. Railfanning endeavors are prominent .Bliss
Commerce on the move safely with efficiency! Railroad
Poor drivers waiting athe grade crossing. Hope that when a crew member finally goto the crossing, he was able to close the brake line valve, radio to pressurize the train brake line and move the train forward enough to clear the crossing. How long did thatake? How far away was thext grade crossing to get across the track? I would charge the railroad for my time waiting andetouring around the blockage.
Awesome video!!!
Also sounded like the train had a low battery warning. ;-)
Wow dude lost his load
I thought this only happened to my O scale Christmas train. Yikes.
Looks like Norfolk-Southern in Action, What!?! No Explosion?
Looks like sabotage, and its obvious, who did it
I love trains!!
The locomotive in the middle of the train is a robot locomotive the engineer controls it from the lead engine
To break a jar bar on a on a locomotive or car means the engineer was hit in the throttle on a Lil on the heavy side..
How fortunate you were to be there with a camera when such an anomalous event happened. But I would like to have seen the drone get a real close up of the two couplers. Maybe next time, if there is one.
It 'breaks' a coupler. Not "brakes"
That would be me at the train crossing. Just a few more feet and the crossing would be clear. Instead, there goes the day.
Where is all the coal going? oh ya to China so we can convert to green energy, what a fucking joke
Q: how does an engineer in the lead pulling loco know when a break has occurred?
Cool video game simulation
Your freight trains in America are crazy long. Is it any real surprise this separation happened. The weight and pressure on those couplings must be immense.
Kind of suspect that these derailment and uncoupling videos happen while filming. its a random occurrence so how would the camera person know to film in this location?
What is the procedure for fixing this? Thx
Ooops
Not to worry. Soon there won’t be transporting coal
Imagine being in the middle of nowhere, at night and having to go find the issue. Would be pretty sketchy
id be stocking up on coal real quick before it returns. stuff burns awsome in fireplace
always see many trains going through the thompson valley
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, like they did BACK in 1954. Still get a tear in my eye when I hear an old train in the night.
Video looks animated because the telephone poles on the other side of the railroad tracks do not have shadows
That lead loco I see it in the rail yard in P.G. all the time.
4400hp- I can smell it from here !!
I was eating dinner in the first dining car but facing the opposite direction I was on your side of the train I didn’t see u but it looks like you saw us

Great video!
Thanks for the visit
As an Ashcroft resident and rail fan I’m loving this. If you don’t mind me asking what are you using for a drone?
Hi Josh I love filming in Ashcroft, the drone I used for this video is a Mavic 3 Cine great drone, but pricey. Ive ordered a mini 3 so I can get more shots.
@@steelwheels530 yeah those Mavics are pricey for sure. I ordered the mini 3 as well, it will be my first drone, I was looking at the Mavic but figured I better start small and learn the basics before stepping up into that category. Anyways enjoying your content and thanks for answering my question, looking forward to your next one!
@@joshwhite2261 Thanks and maybe I’ll see you out there good call on the mini 3 From all the reviews I’ve seen best bang for the buck
Nice flying and nice audio editing!
thanks 😊
Recently CN units are frequently running on these CP trains. The reason is CN is paying back the power they get from CP on the run through CP units on the coal trains with the new coal contract.
great thanks for the update Andrew 🤘
Great video!!
Thanks Jamie
Sounds so freaky
Coal trains are usually the biggest culprit for coupler breakage because the load can freely shift back and forth in the open hopper car during transport (usually to a power station or steelmaking facility), thus putting tremendous strain upon the coupler mechanism...
What a capture.
Looks like this was staged -- seeing that the drone just happened to be in the perfect spot to capture the departure.
@@-smokem I've seen some of those and they look credible, but after seeing the ground footage, I'm not sure if this camera view was staged.
A great catch
How much did you pay to get them to break apart right in front of your cameras...lol
That poor conductor, he/she has to get out and walk all the way back there.
