A great town just north of Phoenix with a genuine Western feel to it. It is a hub of the calf roping and rodeo scene. Great scenery with Saguaro cacti galore and nice single and 2 track. Rich history of the area and they have a first class Art and History museum showcasing life there in the early years. Schedule a full day for the tour.
A nice ride to the decommissioned Anderson Mine and nearby mine shaft. What did they mine there? We've been told of several different ores that they mined, by different people from gold to silver to mica to ????? We saw lots of traces of mica around the mine. It is likely that they indeed mined whatever they found that was of value.

(480P) Valley of the Gods, southern Utah with Mrs Piston. Spectacular scenery
มุมมอง 11914 วันที่ผ่านมา
A windy and dusty day for a perfect ride in a perfect camping spot. Dusty and windy conditions, but a great ride. A high clearance holiday trailer is a must, and even so, it is not recommended to proceed with such a rig past the 5 mile mark. With our flipped axles giving an extra 6 inches of clearance, we did fine.

Spectacular scenery and trails in Moab. Deep loose sand? You bet. Sketchy sand that changes consistency at random. A spill is just a moment away, though I managed to avoid catastrophe. Came close a few times. Moab is everything it's cracked up to be. On to Valley of the Gods.....

World class single track indeed. Sharing the trail with Bryan on an epic ride. Join us on a 15 minute summary of the ultimate single track trails for dirt bikes. The camera never does justice to the steepness of the terrain, nor the roughness of the trail due to the GoPro's "too perfect" image stabilization. We were out for a fun ride at Noble Canyon and came across the course markings for the ...

Donna and Busta on a great ride in search of single track, double track and all around great routes, courtesy of the Dirt Chimps. An amazing campground where you can ride right to and from your camping spot. Duffy Lake has about 50 camping sites with a Rainbow Trout stocked lake with boat launch and docks. Great trails, great hosts and great club (Greater Kamloops Motorcycle Association - GKMA) with many passionate volunteers. A great place to meet new riders and meet the numerous volunteers. If you have a few loose screw...

The ride reads like a menu at a fine restaurant. "A unique blend of choice boulders, sprinkled with a hand selected assortment of premium stones. Loosely arranged on an appreciable slope for your riding pleasure" Let's see how our first bites tasted..... All kidding aside, a great run with a good mix of pavement, flow-y trail and some hard enduro. Always a good time with like-minded enthusiasts...

A short story about a bear, a blanket and a cat.............
มุมมอง 4154 หลายเดือนก่อน
Black bears are commonly seen in the Sicamous area, as they raid garbage cans left outside. This yearling is a frequent visitor. In this July 11, 2024 video, he makes off with a food stained blanket hoping to grab a free meal, but comes up short as there is no actual food in the blanket. Enzo the ever wary guard cat makes a quick escape.

A nice ride in the woods with Brad. Lots of miles and snow. Brad's Sherco is fitted with the accessory seat and larger fuel tank. A stock Trials bike has no seat to speak of and a very small tank. Me on the blue Husqvarna, as they are now called.

Dirt Bikes & prescription eye glasses/goggles. The scourge of nearsightedness. Is there a solution?
That could be somewhere in Outback Australia.
The Anderson mill/mine was started at the beginning of WW II and mined/milled Muscovite Mica that was used in electrical insulation, joint compound and paint. The mill was operational until 1951.
Makes sense with the mica we saw. Thank you for the info about the mine
There is a sign at the back gate to Arches that says no OHV vehicles. Do you now if that excludes dual sports? It seems a little vague. Moab is simply epic.
Yes, the sign (on the way from the Willow Springs camping area just past the Dinosaur Tracks spot, a few miles before the "high clearance 4X4's only" sign which is one mile before Balance Rock) is a little vague, not unlike the Utah State OHV website regarding Dual Sport machines. The connector section you refer to is trying to say that true street legal machines from the factory like dual sport machines are legal, but if you have plated, for example, a side by side or your YZ250 for the street - that would not be allowed. That's because the manufacturer has designated the machine to be an OHV. Many jurisdictions allow SXS's and quads to be operated on the street - just not on this portion of the trail. I don't understand the reason for that restriction, but so be it. Thank you for watching and for your query.
any and only plated vehicles are permitted
@@jamescox4823 The sign at the west entrance ( 38.701597, -109.635059 ) reads "All types of Off Highway Vehicles including registered street legal Are Prohibited". This sign can be seen on Google maps street view. I had some head scratching moments here and concluded this: Though Mrs Piston's quad is plated and insured, it is an Off Highway Vehicle, so would not be permitted here. My 350EXC-F is a fully street legal Motorcycle as designated by the manufacturer, not an OHV like their similar EXC model is. A street Motorcycle would be every bit as legal on that road/trail as the Google photo vehicle. I think we can agree that the sign wording and intent is vague. Thank you for weighing in.
I went on my CRF250L (plated, street legal) and passed on challenging the reg. It even said "motorcycles," so I didn't feel like getting into an interpretation of the reg with a ranger solo on the trail. But, perhaps it probably is OK for a plated bike. Something I plan on clarifying next time I'm in Moab. Nice video, brings back great memories camping there earlier this year.
IF IT'S SO HOT WHAT IS SHE DOING WITH A COAT ON???????LAME MS. PISTON
Beautiful area! Keep on givenr 👍
Will do, thank you
So cool to explore with ms. Piston.
Yes always good to get out riding with wife Piston. A great area to ride. We will be back. Thank you for watching.
Nice
Great video! Love Moab! Wish I was doing exactly what you're doing right now! Cheers! 👍🏻🍻🇺🇸🏍
Old man smarts. Heck yeah.
@RossScarborough-v5n thank you. I need to do an updated version with a piece of angle iron, something everyone would be able scrounge up in their neighborhood. Thank you for watching
That was cool that you both got to ride together on your preferred machines. Cheers
It is always great to share the trails with someone you love! Thank you for watching.
Nice to see Mrs P out for a rip. Amazing scenery
I started the ride with the DRZ400s until I got a flat. The video is from the seat of the KTM 350 EXCF. Street legal and a very capable dirt bike. The DRZ would have been a real handful in the sand with the higher weight. Thank you for your support Kevin
Thank you for watching and for your support
What bike do you ride?
Awesome. Hope to go there for a moto ride sometime soon
I have been to Moab 3 times for mountain biking but I now own a dual sport Honda and look forward to going down to moto in Moab. Thanks for the great content
Good stuff. Hard to imagine being disappointed there.
Looked like some would have been a bit more comfortable on a shorter sled ….
DOLORES BECK traveled the gorge road while fleeing from the Shuswap fire of 2023 with a red honda fit. 3 flat tires..... the gorge road sucks but the Seymore Are residents are some of the best we have ever met ❤
@ChrisBeckPortableLogMill that sounds like a harrowing journey to escape the fire. Glad you made it through despite the flats. Thank you for watching and for your comment
Thanks for all the great content. Cheers. I live in Pemberton so hope to get out your way
@KevinRadford-w9l hi, thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. It's always good to see that someone is getting something out of the videos whether it is entertainment, or a chance to see what other riding areas have to offer. Contact me if you are planning to come this way with your bike and let's ride!
Great vid👍👍😎
Thank you, we had about 2 hours of riding footage, every bit of it as good as in the final edit. It's always tough to decide what to keep. It just goes to show that the single track here is truly world class. Well laid out with great varying terrain. Thank you for watching
Thanks man i will try this 🙏🏻
@GG_TOOL thank you for watching. I should do an update on this video. You can use a piece of angle iron the same length of the retainer diameter. Someone in your neighborhood will have a piece that you can cut of a few inches
Good to meet you on the ride. That was an excellent group of riders we had in our small group. Thanks for sharing the video.
@@thesuperfunkomatic yes, a good ride. Always try to make all rides good. Thank you for watching and making the ride great. Stay funky !
Tough go up those rocks. Good Video.
Great video and thanks for helping out our team mate. He got his mojo back shortly after but yeah, riding off that side hill was no joke!
You are welcome. It's what dirt riders do. Yes a tricky predicament for sure. Fortunately no one was injured, no major bike damage and the phone was found. Thank you for watching
It’s JT from the ride. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work
Thank you for watching and for the praise. The volunteers were numerous and great ambassadors for the sport. It was a fun ride.
Thanks for coming out. Hope you had a good time. Cheers!
Sure did have a great time, thank you Shawn and thank you for watching
That was lake Wenatchee and fish lake in the distance. I live a mile from where the rally is held. Dirt bike in the summer and snowmobile in the winter.
Spectacular view for sure. Thank you for confirming which lakes they are. Thank you for watching
Nice Ride Busta
Thank you and thanks for watching. I had the most trouble coming back down the hills. Short legs trying to swing over the seat with the bike pointed downhill. All good stuff, no broken bikes, no injuries.
I was sweating and tired watching you guys…😅
Stellar video awesome all the way around! Incredible views this video deserves 10,000 views or more!
Thank you Brandt. Hopefully you are enjoying my videos as much as I enjoy yours. As an aging off road enthusiast, I am thankful for every chance I get. Maybe if you watch the video 9 thousand tines, I can get it to 10k!! Thanks again
Now im sure… i need an small bike!
Yes, you cannot go wrong with a 300cc or less 2 stroke bike. Enduro or trials, they each have their strengths and weaknesses. Guaranteed fun no matter what. Thank you for watching.
OMG, what is Busta up to here?
Up to no good for sure. Just a fun, clear out the cobwebs ride
Is it cold enough you need jacket? Plan on attending this year and I’m not from the area. So don’t know that climate to well. Edit: also did you need accommodations? Did you hotel or?
I stayed at the Fairfield Inn which is right where the event starts. Pricey, but there are other less expensive alternatives nearby. A few years ago we were riding in fresh wet snow in the higher elevations, and even on the warmer days it is quite chilly in the morning til around 11. Definitely bring a jacket that can be easily packed away when it warms up. Hope to see you there, it is a great event. Thank you for watching.
Nice where is this exact location
Hello to you in the buffalo province. Check out the map of the Revelstoke trails at: revyriders.ca/trail-map This video is mostly of the Ego Trip trail and Smooth Operator trail. If you are looking for an excuse to spend some summer time in BC, make sure to hit me up for a ride. I can at least steer you to the good stuff. There is some great single track in the North Okanagan. Thank you for watching
Would love a video were you setup the idle and air screw in the correct way.
If I ever have the throttle body out, I may do that. Hopefully someone else has done such a video.
Really good video, big thanks!!
Thank you for watching. I thought that I would make this video on the TPS, as I have run across many automotive TPS's that have worn and do not track smoothly.
Mike Webb's hair is epic!
That's Tom Wolfman Webb and yes he did have a head of hair. Heck of a nice guy. Thanks for watching. Would love for Ping to get him on the Whiskey Throttle Show.
Fond memories for me. I know many of the guys here Hatch smith hawkins.im an ECEA warrior "A" guy..saw these guys at many events. I think about racing every day...HANNAH teaching caps off a great video.thanx !
If she rode that her wig would fly off.
Looks like you were leaving from Ponderosa Pines near Morgan. I've ridden from there a few times, inlaws have cabin there.
That's a great video Busta! Very cool to see it raining in the desert. Hope you're having a great vacation.
The best sled ever made I had one exactly the same 03 rev 800. I loved that sled
Nice to see you back in the saddle Gord That terrain looks similar to what we are riding our sleds on these days
Awesome, just watched day one as well. I like seeing the DRZ in action, as that is what I’m on now. And you’ve got the EXC-F, which will be my next bike! Subscribed!
Thank you for watching, and thank you for your comments. If you haven't already checked it out, please see the Single Track Heaven/Fun in the Deep Woods ride on the 350 excf. There is no perfect all around bike, but the drz was perfect for the Touratech Rally, and the excf is perfect for gnarlier single track.
Makes me want to stick with smaller dual sports on single track riding. I have tons of mt bike experience and am thinking on trying a little dual sport riding.
Indeed. I recommend that you borrow a small dirt bike first (100 - 200cc) just to get the feel of a heavier self propelled machine. If you are having fun, then you can try a small Dual Sport bike. If you check out some of my other vids (like Fun in the Deep Woods) with the KTM350 EXC-F, you will see that it rivals a true state of the art dirt bike. it is on the lightest and best suspended side of the DS offerings. My old DR650S was barely POSSIBLE for me to pick up by myself, but the DRZ400 is much lighter and the KTM is much lighter yet. The bigger ADV bikes have their place but I am not comfortable with their bulk. Thank you for watching, and I hope you find dirt/ADV riding a rewarding experience.
@@bustapiston2170 Since I'm on the smaller side at 5'4", I'm looking at the XT250 and the KLX 300.
