How’d you miss her? You boys are old enough to know about the first British Invasion of the 70’s (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc) and the second invasion of the 80’s (George Michael, Phil Collins, The Cure, etc). Unfortunately, since the 2000’s the US record industry has been gate-keeping and America has missed out on so much more “real deals” from across The Pond…Raye is just the tip of the iceberg. The only reason why she’s grabbing attention is because she’s independent so there’s nothing the record industry can do about shutting her out.

When I heard the movie soundtrack first (before seeing the film), I was really worried about some of the adjustments and the delayed parts of the music, but…… ……when you see it all in context of what’s happening on screen: I think it blows the stage show out of the water…… …..and this is coming from someone who’s seen the stage version 8 times in 3 different venues! They utterly smashed it. If they can do that with the second part, I will be ecstatic!

Whitney - I am changing live. London is perfection. NYC is operatic melisma - with a surreal vibrato. San Franciso is very clear, and Tokyo is where she was working out the arrangement that we would hear in the USA and Europe in all its epicness. "A Quiet Place" in Rome is great, and when she sang with the high school students in DC is another stunning live "One Song"

I would just like to hear a word about him from an Outside-the-History-Community person as, though he is popular, him and his talent is rarely ever recognized outside of the context of History. He has published three “types” of videos onto his channel: Music Videos: A song about a certain event or person in (usually Ancient or Medieval) history, usually utilizing Techniques and Instruments found in that era to make stunning works. His most famous works being about the Roman Empire, the General Belisarius, Prayers from various religions, as well as Turkic Folk music. Epic Talks: A history Lesson pertaining to the music he makes. Usually comentary about the current idea of Historical Music. This is where he lets his comedic sense shine through as he makes a lot of jokes only those of the culture he references will get. Epic Symphonies: Basically, a really long Music Video that aims to tell the real history of an event in songform. This type of video of his are considered to be his masterpieces. Not only is Cynthia unbelievable in this whole movie as both an actor and a vocalist, but the composition and tempo changes to this song are so fantastic. I listen to the OG tempo and it just feels a little rushed compared to the movie version to me now… unreal, and just what an incredible rendition. They found a way to make greatness even greater
