she blew up fairly recently and had her debut album last year. she had been releasing singles and EPs for few years, had many collabs and was a writer for few big celebrities. her label at the time didn't let her be more herself and she couldn't get her album done for years, but finally she is big enough to do what she wants.

As a fellow Lucy fan, I highly recommend you watch the Lollapalooza Chicago Chappell Roan show. You really see Lucy well in this one and she is amazing! Chappell is already an icon, seriously. She had the largest daytime audience in Lollapalooza history. The crowd stretched outside of the park onto Michigan Ave. The drone shots of the crowd singing and dancing to Hot to Go are something. Great reaction video. You two are one of my favorites!

Arianas a great singer n all but not on the level of Mariah, Whitney, Celine... where are the INCREDIBLE singers? .. where are they? Jennifer Hudson was a one hit wonder , Beyonce great but still not Celine dion / Mariah great ... where is the real talent?

Steve Perry sounds like a keyboard, he's SO pitch-perfect. I have so many "favorite" rock vocalists. He is great for that clarity of sound, Freddie Mercury is technically amazing with a some of that same pitch perfect flavor, and then Steven Tyler is my King Demon of Screamin. What a blessing to have lived at a time with all their voices. Love it.

Really cool that they're fans of Chappell! They wouldn't be the audience to speak of Chappell's queerness, defiance, femininity, etc., all things that I gravitate toward, b/c why would they lol? Snares and sixteenth notes interest them more. That's more of the mindset of the average Grammy voter, I'd imagine, so hopefully that's good signs for Roan next year! 🤞
