In this video, we go over an Onan Generator. For the last few years this generator has had hard starts where the Genset needed to be primed multiple times, often shut down in hot weather. is this for a DRW? Looks like the single rear wheel and the DRW have different front bearings?

Thanks. Fuse 08 is just below the one you point to in the video. I’m sure you got it right originally, but by the time you recorded the video, you forgot which line contained Fuse 08. Fuse 08 was my problem too. I replaced with the one that is two to the right which controls the power step and heated seats (neither option exists in my van). Fan immediately started working! Thanks!

@@monkey226969 yes sir, message me on ebay
Just a heads up to anyone who might find this and want to know what fixed my issue. The video led me to check the solenoids with my multimeter. The top left had no reading. So I took all of the hex screws off and checked the inside of the gas control box. I would probably not recommend doing this because its a bit scary to put back together due to it needing a tight fit to not let gas leak out. But, anyway, one of the solenoids inside had a broken wire. I soldered it back on and now everything works again.

@GooGoo007 each leg (left) and (right) need to be very close to the same resistance can't be more than 0.5 Kohms apart.
Found him on his store on ebay, fantastic seller. I deal with him anytime I have issues!
What is his store name?
The meter is clearly ranging to kilohms. It's not "around 11 to 12 ohms", it's 11.89 kilohms. Huge difference.
@@BelowAboveAverage yes you are correct I believe i have a follow up video explaining this
@BelowAboveAverage but the kiloohms will vary based off the ambient temperature. You should not see more than a 0.5 kiloohms different between each side. If one side reads 11 and the other is 12 I'd be suspect that the sensor is bad. When I made this video I was still gathering data and learning. Over time and years I learned more about these sensors.

Thank you man. “Blessed and loved by God is the one spreading knowledge” !!!
What a beautiful thing to say... I love it!
Nice job. Thanks for your help today! Remember everyone, it's K-ohms not ohms! Also, your trick for testing the replacement sensor prior to removing the valve from the heater is clever, but I actually didn't need to modify the edge of the cover to accommodate the cable; I just threaded the cable through the COM hole, connected it to the board and installed the cover with the sensor hanging outside. The disconnected cable from the existing sensor in the well can be shoved inside the housing, above the metal valve, to get it out of the way during this test.

It's an air conditionER
So. Is it is there not a way to directly check the circuit board itself to verify if it's good or bad, or is it basically a process of elimination that the circuit board is the only thing left that can be bad? Which that looks to be the case.
It depends on the defect of the board. Sometimes the issue is visible upon inspection. Other times is corrupt software. What's the issue you are having?
Life saver, van started to overheat today just before the Blackwall tunnel London, with an accident. Pulled over to the hard shoulder to find 3 fuses blown with my meter and no fan running and ac blowing warm. Swapped fuses and drove 3 hours no overheating or issues. I salute you.

@@gdejackmo already did, cowboy. we're bith doing the thing that we do.
huge return on investment. only concern is it doesnt have many sizes so a maddox kit would be good once this kit makes some money.
I haven't had a tie rod I couldn't get off with this kit if that gives you any piece of mind. Usually.... I use the universal tie rod tool to remove the inner and outer together as a unit. Then on the new inner tie rod I set the jam nut to the old inner tie rod end as a reference. This allows me to get a close match to the old alignment settings. Then I install using the tool.

Yo
Yes
What caused the line to blow? Was there and underlying problem that caused that? Or just hot.
Funny you should ask. At the time of the recording I replaced that hose and the coolant overflow hose. Then a week later the thermostat hose ruptured. Put my coolant pressure gauge on the van and started the engine to see I had a head gasket leak. But nothing. Ford said the heater hose and overflow hose are known to fail. I think because its a turbo and runs hot with a lot of bends in the hose they just aged out. I did replace the coolant cap because that is also how the system vents excessive pressure. Long story short 100k miles replace the heater hose, coolant bypass hose, upper radiator hose, thermostat, and fill cap. The thermostat job is a bit of a pain if you don't buy the entire assembly.
Did you have a second return fuel line going back to the tank? My 4000 evap has two fuel lines
Mines an EVAP generator but I don't have the evap setup. If I did then I'd have a second line going back to a canister. You should be able to differentiate the two lines because one will go to the fuel pump/filter on the generator. Let me know if this helps you out.
Thank you for walking me through diagnosing the temperature sensor on mine. I got 5.75 kΩ between the side pin and middle pin. I got 11.5 kΩ between the other pins. So mine is likely bad
I've had my set for three years and I definitely recommend it. I had the same problem with the smaller sockets coming loose while transporting the set. What I did was to glue the original, factory, foam pads to drawer liner material. That solved the problem of loose sockets AND kept those very light and flimsy foam pads from blowing away whenever I opened the box. That way I can carry it by the handle and I haven't had a tool come loose inside the box. There are a bunch of tools that are NOT included that I bought separately and put into a tool bag that I also carry in my vehicle. Almost immediately, like the day after I received the kit, I went onto Amazon and got a much more inclusive and higher quality set of ratcheting combination wrenches and a tool bag. I added to the bag as I identified deficiencies in the original set. It doesn't come with grove joint pliers or a 1\2" drive breaker bar, for example, so those were also early adds. The included set of screwdrivers, work all right, for the most part, and come in sizes to suit most purposes. But honestly, the handles are too small to fit my hands. So I bought another set and added that to the bag as well. I also wish that the bottom layer with the 1/2" drive stuff was removable, but I have taken the box with me under several vehicles and it worked OK for me. Especially when my son-in-law and I are working on something major. It saves a bunch of running back and forth to my other box. The missing sized sockets haven't much of a problem. Honestly, I can't even remember that last time I needed a socket size that wasn't included in the set. I also bought a handful of extensions in all sizes and added them to the extra tool bag. Got them from Harbor Freight, too!
nice video, question. I have a ford transit 250 and my differential is leaking pass the seal by the hub bearings. what are the symptoms of low differential fluid? when i drive theres like a vibration in the rear of the van. I would really appreciate your answer.
Ford had a recall on drive shaft vibration/ unbalanced drive shafts that wears the seal out.
How many miles are on your transit?
@@gdejackmo it has 230,000 miles, I tried to initiate the recall but they told me nothing comes up under my transit, its a 2015
@petmogulsupplies6631 did find the recall I was telling you about. Not every transit hits the recall but they all have the same part. It's not fair
Just so I understand correctly the differential fluid is leaking by the drive shaft or by the rear wheels?
Brother I changed the thermostat the fans and still wasn’t cooling all because the stupid fuse and i have replace the fuse with a 20 but nothing replaced with the 30 now is working thank you so much brother
No problem!!!!! Please subscribe it doesn't help me out now but maybe this will go some place.
Am I reading my manual wrong or did you point at the wrong f8? I think you are pointing at f18 and f8 is the one below it
It's the middle on the left side. I can double check if you still have questions. I have fat fingers.
Our Transit relays (r-15 and r-18 on this video) were overheating and burning out; one van actually was buning where the relay was inserted. You can see the gray relay's brownish overheat marks clearly on the top. We replaced those that have the burning marks and all fans then worked properly. Maybe this is only in Las Vegas where the temp is 110 during this summer.
The one relay is super expensive, too! Not sure why your relays burned up. Was this after the fuses were upgraded?
Happens in the UK too...
Brother you save me money time my day god knows what else 😂 thank you thank you !!
Glad I was able to help. If you ever need help with your transit van let me know. I have a bunch of repairs I haven't posted yet. But in the next few weeks I'll be doing rear brakes and rotors not just pads. I will also be eliminating the squeel some transits have when it's cold and in reverse that comes from the pads.. As always please like and subscribe.
the missing mm are the same size as the standard
Yea I know! I even thought of keeping a chart to see which ones I can cross use. But it's not worth it.
I’ve had this kit for a year and I’ve only broken the 3/8th ratchet and the 3/8 wobble socket unrelated. I’ve picked up a composite 3/8th Pittsburgh ratchet to replace it and I love it.
I broke the wobble extensions they are a tad weak. So those I upgraded to the impact wobbles sold by HF. However they did warranty all the items that broke. Now a few years later the tools on the lid don't stay up they fall down.
Thanks Brotha! I’m lookin at getting a “new” used 2015 where the guy states it’s having overheating issues, and listing it low for that reason. Hoping this is going to be a great easy fix. How many miles do ya have on your 2017?
I don't recall offhand
The relays are probably good just the fuses
Do you have an update with your used transit???

Most sets are filled with " fillers" this one is good looks like....with some vise grips, channel locks, crimpers and a bigger crescent wrench u can do alot with that set....and of course u can never have enough extensions 👍👍👍
