    Hi Eoin at the minute I'm training for Frankfurt marathon at the end of October. I am having an issue with my perennial tendent I took two weeks off close to 3 weeks and back running over the past two weeks just running for time on the feet the feet are not the distance but I am back up to around 12 half 13 miles... I am icing and doing some band work on it is there much more I can do the pain goes away when running after 6 mile and seems to be moving towards the bottom of the ankle

      Are you doing Sport Pilates? If you are I will make up a specific rehab for Peroneal Tendinitis that you can do at home.

      Hope it goes ok in the Marathon David. Maybe just physio or get it rubbed out or get a rehab off someone you trust.

    This is invaluable information! The Ingebrigtsen model is bulletproof logic. But it opposes Ireland's typical mentality towards sport. "Give it socks". "Leave it all on the pitch". We applaud toughness more than smart training. And toughness got a lot of Irish athletes nowhere. From my time as a Junior (2013/14), only Andrew Coscoran has found success in the senior ranks. But there were loads of promising juniors back then! You'd both remember all of them. I'm asumming injury cut most of their careers short. Thanks lads for the great discussion! Would love to hear more chats in the future.

    I'😢m in the Army and I can't tell you how money times other soldiers have encouraged me during my run by saying "come one, you can do this! It's all in your head!" Like--no the fuck It's not in my head. If it's all in my head, then why don't YOU run in the Olympics??

    • @everardpilates5190
      @everardpilates5190 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is so true. So well put. Like if it is 90% mental then why aren't we all running in the Olympics! Its such a marketing gimmick and comes from people not understanding individuals have different levels and need to be trained appropriately. I guarantee if we checked your lactate levels when you were running, you were as high if not higher than anyone else. So for your set fitness level you were giving it your all and probably more so. The sad thing is that giving 100% all the time actually is not good training and people won't improve that much doing this.
