I'm glad you conceal carry and that it is your third tier of defense. Thank you for being open and honest about your security.
Nice. I used to “speed hike”. Now since I film/post I enjoy the views so much more and look for all the pretty things to film. Thanks for the reminder. ❤❤
Never knew of this and/helped touris back years ago of hikes in area but floods of creweeks etc change the lang all the time
I’m sure that was a great experience for you! Thank you for sharing
You forgot your dog. 🤭
He reminded me when I got home 😊
Very responsible and wise carrying a gun with you also the awareness looking around you this is some really great advise. Thank you
Pepper spray is more than adequate. Statistically, carrying a gun makes a person less safe, just as bringing a dog makes one less safe around bears. But of course, you’ll ignore that and stay with your incorrect gut.
Thank you!
Sedona is absolutely spectacular my friend! Beautiful film and music fits perfectly!
Who knew a positive comment could make my day. Thank you for stopping by
Beautiful! Love Sedona.
Thank you! Love it too. I have a friend who got to visit Sedona in the 70s when there was only one hotel. I can only imagine how special it felt back then
The yellow leaves against the blue sky… So pretty
There are many things we cannot illuminate within ourselves no matter where we travel to. The outdoors can be a good form of therapy but it will never replace actual therapy.
Wow, absolutely beautiful, We don't get hiking trails like those where I live
?
No , no, no! Damn it, CDA is FULL! Stay to fuck out of Idaho! Go back from wence you came you fkn cnt...
Looks like a fun trip!
Wolves come out night look out for them ..I had one chase me on my bike ..the thing to do is try to pedal faster
Hope your bike was electric! How scary
That's true alltrials really good tool .
An absolute must, Was there two weeks ago. Strongly recommend go during the fall [no bugs] mid-week if you want to avoid crowds. Make sure you bring a lunch to have by the lake. CCW is the way to go to avoid ALOT of stairs up to the parking lot @ Artist Point
The letting people know where you are as a great thing that you’re doing so is carrying the gun. Smart girl as long as you’re doing training with the gun practice will make you capable of defending yourself.
Absolutely. Thank you for commenting
Hi , mine is 5 months and I tried. Almost end up in the hospital 😂
wow, this was a shocking gear list! be safe :)
Short and sweet!
I'm so lost right now
In England we are not allowed to carry pepper spray. Would a box cutter be some use, any thoughts?
a box cutter? why not a bowie knife?
personally, I have found the best defense for hiking is having a walking stick or staff, mostly as a dog defense, basically to keep unleashed dogs from running up and jumping on me or otherwise.... anyways, it is a frequent event so I always make one or bring one for a hike most of the time. I just point the stick out at them when they run up and that usually stops them or if not I can push them off. I have encountered some snippy dogs before, but mostly they are ok but I dont appreciate wild dogs coming up and wiping their nose on me or jumping on me. besides that, as a woman I would recommend the stick, and pepper spray, and even a whistle, but that is mostly for signalling help if lost or injured. I always bring a knife and a folding saw, but that is usually for tasks, such as getting materials for projects or fire back at home, or to make a walking stick. I dont think you really need a firearm for hiking, unless in wild animal country or someplace seriously dangerous, or if hunting.
Great advice! Thank you for sharing
Never go anywhere unfamiliar?
Until you’re comfortable enough to venture out
Your fingers in front of the barrel made me nervous The closer to civilization the closer to weirdos Glad your equipped proud of you Stay strong stay safe 👍 stay outdoors
I know right. I usually feel safer by myself in the woods than walking a city street
Hello 👋 Taryn, greetings from Northern California. Thank you for sharing this informative video. You did a fine job. You brought some great points to be aware of. The best to you and your Fiancee. Always stay safe out there. 😮 😊
I really appreciate your comment. Thank you for stopping by!
That wasn’t a spiderweb - that was a communal caterpillar nest.
Pepper gel is probably better than spray as it is less likely to have blow back to your eyes
Great tip thanks for sharing
amaze, can't wait to reach out this place, tnx for sharing. I love your storyteller beautiful voice...

whats it like to hold a position on meaningful issues but needing big tek to defend your position? Iv yet to meet a lib that can intelligently hold a conversation with someone who disagrees with them.
Wonderful.... might I make a suggestion on your carry position? If youre going to get into it with someone, it's alot of grappling and that will be hard to get to. It's also right where someone could get to it if you ARE grappling and they're literally right there and have just as much access to it as you do... move it to the 3 o'clock position and you can use your body to put between the badguy and the pew pew so you can get an accurate draw... stay safe
Thank you for the tip!
You hope for a bear to protect you?
We don’t have many bears around here
Ever seen bigfoot❤❤❤❤❤
Thankfully not but full prepared if I did 😂
wow that is my concealed carry as well... that is the best CCW, just FYI..
what kind of gun is it?
@@entropyfu sig p365
@@entropyfu It's a Sig Sauer P365, currently the best selling handgun in the U.S.
Great that you're carrying but never put a body part in front of the business end of your firearm.
Good tips, nicely done!
Thanks!
Dogs also help if your not aware or don’t want to be. 🧘♀️
Definitely feels less scary with a pup around.
Dogs in bear country make a person less safe, just as carrying a gun does, statistically.
Pepper spray, a knife and a gun? Wow, hiking as a solo female sure is different in the USA than Norway. I just bring my things. I do bring a knife, but that's because I like to whittle.
There’s a lot of craziness going on right now. I hope to make it to Norway some day soon. I even named my dog Oslo
I'm inside your walls

"God created all men, but Samuel Colt made them equal." Good on ya girl.
It’s beautiful ! However, it depends on the country and the place ! At the moment, in some countries, it is hunting (September until April or May) but for the spring and summer yes ! 👏 🤍🤍🌳💚
❤ thank you for your comment
Gorgeous, your narration and overall video quality are amazing my friend!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for your kind words!
That's a wonderful hiking adventure Taryn. Fantastic scenery and great production!
The best feeling 🤍🤍🌳💚
Not overkill at all. It is called being prepared for the minimum or maximum situation that could or should ever arise! Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it! Kudos to you!!
So yes, these are good things to carry with you hiking alone, but if you plan to use that gun on a mountain lion or a bear, or even another person, if the caliber is that low, they have a great chance of killing you as well. That handgun will only scare off a bear that isn't already charging you.
I think it’s perfectly fine what you’re doing. You’re only protecting yourself while doing something fun. Sad thing is this world is so bad off you can’t do these things without worry
Just 2 notes. When holstering keep your finger over the trigger and guard on a soft holster to prevent accidental trigger pulls by the fabric. The knife holster should be tied to the leg or pistol holster on the belt line. You should be able to draw, and use the knife with 1 hand, (same with the pistol)
Normalize regular cary!! i love to see people that cary for the right reasons, hopefully this encourages more women to have self protection!🫶🏼
