What brand is the toggle switch you’re using for your fuel pump ?
Hey boss! It's the old Amazon special: www.amazon.com/ESUPPORT-Purple-Cover-Toggle-Switch/dp/B00ST3FEJM Let me know if I can help with anything else!
how much more does the car weigh with the 2jzgte versus the ka24de (weight distribution too)? I want to swap my s14 too but I think the 2jz is too heavy I was thinking turbo k24 with adapter kit
@@cesarflores1145 my 2jz S13 weighs right around 2900 with a half tank of fuel and no driver. I'm not exactly sure on the weight distribution but I'm sure I have the calculation somewhere because the car has been corner balanced. My car with the stock ka in it apparently weighs between 2550-2650 lbs so it seems like there is a roughly ~300lbs weight increase from stock with the 2JZ swap! Hope this helps! (I did get rid of a lot of weight by removing all the HICAS equipment, emissions equipment, and full titanium suspension components)
@ yeesh that’s a bit much lol did not expect that. still a cool build

Very nice! Why not an oil catch can setup and keep the turbo flutter?
@@ibreakifix good question man! When I was running the catch can, I was having issues where it would fill up with fluid quite quickly. I believe this was due to excess crankcase pressure pushing fluids into the catch can. With the PCV setup I currently have + the BOV, I have great crankcase pressure (actually it's negative pressure because of the vacuum!) and my engine is running even better!

What about motorcycles? My bike is a small xsr 155. But I drive rough and I keep forgetting to idle the bike after a long ride. I'm afraid it might affect the bike. Would a turbo timer be a good solution?
Good question my friend! I'm actually not familiar much with bike engines so honestly, it might be a good idea for you to install one! I'll be honest, you might have a hard time installing it on a motorcycle because the turbo timers are built to splice into a cars wiring harness, not a bikes. But that might be a good idea man if you can make it work!😀

I’ve been getting my GTE ready for my swap and found there’s debate online regarding pcv delete, air oil separators(AOS)/ catch cans/ breathers some saying these systems are bad for engine longevity. But i’ve also found porche and many other high end performance vehicles use AOS from the factory. I’ve found many articles that contradict each other but I want this car to be daily drivable and reliable. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and just wanted your input
@@neion5044 great question my man! So I've done literal weeks of research on it, and I've come to the conclusion that keeping the 2JZ PCV system as close to stock as possible is the most reliable option. So that means having the hot side valve cover plumbed to the turbo intake and the intake side valve cover plumbed to the intake manifold with the OEM check valve. This setup allows the turbo to pull a mild vacuum on the engine under full throttle (which I've tested and proven with my own pressure sensor). This will keep your crankcase pressure in check and makes sure you don't have seals blowing out. And under non-boost driving, it allows fresh air to cross flow through the hot side valve cover to the intake side because the other PCV hose is connected to the intake manifold. This keeps your engine oil clean and reduces sludge buildup. Some people decide to route a sealed catch can in between the hot side valve cover and turbo intake to reduce the oil/blowby gasses going into your intercooler/intercooler piping, but so far, I've not had that issue and im not running a catch can. Hope this helps my friend!
Love the Razz scooters! The car is okay. 😉
@@legomancanswim4838 HAHA! Yes the Razz scooters are the star of the show if we are being honest😂
Love the videos bro 💪🏻 inspiring me to keep my project car goin
Thanks for the love brother! Keep on that grind man, you won't be disappointed once you get your project car burning rubber!
What i wanna know is why when i drive my 2018 Chevy Trax with 87 octane i will see the fuel range drop accordingly, like when i take the same trip down the freeway for 35 mins, but when i put 93 octane and take the exact same trip i noticed the fuel range slowly increasing instead of decreasing? Eventually it will go back down slowly but alot slower than when i use 83. Does the 93 burn more effectively in this case, also i noticed the Chevy Trax is a little more responsive and the engine runs very smoothly with 93 in not by much but its definitely noticeable
@@battlefox8460 it's certainly possible your Trax has an octane sensor and changes the power level and responsiveness of the engine with the higher octane. But there is no science to back up better fuel economy with the higher octane. The higher octane fuel holds the same energy density as a lower octane, and will burn nearly the same as a lower octane fuel.
@@TunerFaction I see
I never knew I would need to spend what, 30k on just to swap engines on a 8 thousand dollar car, with a 5 thousand engine, that's more than double what I would need to spend on the can and engine combined 😭
@@elijahdublin2432 I know man it is absolutely insane! These 2JZ's certainly aren't cheap to swap unfortunatly😂 but I guess that's the price you pay for one of the most legendary engines ever made!

You should test out some sound deadener around the trans tunnel in the cabin and see if the idle bothers you less.
@@---vu2cz hey that's actually a great idea man!
Why cant we use higher compression like 10:1 or 11:1? Im new to 2jz, but not k series. K series can use up to 11.5:1 on 93 until around 450hp then e85 after. 12:1 will need e85 right away though. I wonder if its possible for 2jzge?
You can run higher compression on the 2JZ but you're right you need e85. I don't know of anyone running higher than 10:1 on a 2JZ on 93 but like you said you can go higher CR with e85
@@TunerFaction it wouldnt affect piston to valve clearance right?
@@Ehren1337 good question! I know different camshafts effect piston to valve clearance, so my guess is that the different CR pistons would also effect that clearance but it's just a guess! Good question!

so basically i could find a deal for oem gte pistons and rods install those as long as i get the bearing measurement right in a ge keep the cylinder head stock if i really want to and since im not lookign for 800 i could get 400 out of that really easily and it would be much more reliable install a turbo kit and boom is that really all if i dont want to upgrade valvetrain or cams besides injectors or stuff i was thinking of sourcing anything that may be too weak on the ge from the gte such as injectors and fuel pump also i have a gs300 would the stock auto be able to handle that i do have a bit of a need to budget and was researching and if the compression ratio youre trying to achieve is 8:5 to 1 or 9 to 1 the oem gte pistons and rods have that exact compression ratio of 8:5.1 and since the crank is the same or similar if the bearing measurement is correct those pistons work fine the problem is if the tranny can handle the power and also am i missing something could i do those pistons and rods do the mls head gasket and a turbo kit and get 400 reliably? i was thinking of tuning the car to only have access to full hp in pwr mode and in normal ect mode i have maybe 250 or so so i keep reliability since alot of stuff is still stock maybe idk the true limits of the ge
@@zoomie9734 thanks for the questions my man, there's a lot to tackle here so let's get started. 1. There is no need to install GTE pistons for 400hp. Installing new pistons in a block is a lot of money and takes a lot of measurements and procedures to get right. All you need to do is install a thicker metal head gasket on your GE engine and you would be good to go (keep the stock pistons). As for the rods, you might get away with using the stock GE rods but I would swap them to GTE rods for reliability. And yes you just need to correctly size the bearings if you do end up swapping your rods for the GTE rods. 2. I'm not sure if your automatic transmission can handle 400hp. I know a lot about manual transmissions but next to nothing about the automatic transmission in the gs300 so you'll have to do some research on that one, sorry!
