This place is good when I was there in the past. Authentic garlic sauce. I didn’t like that they microwave the rice, so just because of that I wouldn’t go.

You're right about everything in this video but "best before" date and "expiry date" are interchangeable. It says best before on many products that would be dangerous to consume past a certain point.

We had one in London for years now. I cannot believe they didn't test it in Toronto first!

I like Belly Busters or Mr Sub the best. Just because I am from NYC and am used to Jersey Mike's. But I will still crush a #2 from Jersey Mike's if I am hungry. Their ingredients are always so fresh and consistent and the oil is the main ingredient. I like my heros with a lot of oil.

Halibut is a North American thing; almost never seen in UK chippies. It's also too dense for a delicate batter and too bloody expensive nowadays, but it is superb as an occasional treat on a BBQ, or smoked.

Hi Kassar, just came across this. Good reviews, very balanced. I like Johnny's, but agree with you about the burger. It's not the best burger ever, but it's still a good burger, it's good value for money, and it's open past midnight. Yes, it has that nostalgia factor, but that nostalgia would mean nothing if they served a bad burger. My other comment was that you should've mentioned that the Mojo burger used a homemade patty. That makes a huge difference in taste... and price! I'd almost certainly choose the homemade patty over the frozen one. I hope you do more reviews of some old school hamburger joints while they still exist in the metro area. John Anderson Hamburgers is another one that has been around for a while.

The tiger shrimp and chicken with mango is awesome! Next time you are at Congee Queen, try the deep fried pork chop and a side order of plain steam white rice. You won’t be disappointed. My family makes the trip to the Don Mills and Lawrence location. The quality and cooking flavour are much better.
