My dad had a buddy that had two of these all restored. Being a kid of 10 or 11 didn’t know the story until later when the friend and his wife were extras in the movie. They the cars, were too far ahead of their time, no one understood how good the car was!

There are two of those in my town.

In 1948 , Tucker was way ahead of his time. 30 mpg in a 2 ton sedan. Center headlight turns with the front wheels.

So, it has 3 headlights.

If that car could only talk and tell us the places it has been!

Very good video showing how to replace it. Will have to do that on mine too. And it’s a low mileage car. Definitely cracks with age and being in not a temp controlled environment for a time. All it took. What price was the little cog that was broken and why not replace the other 2 beside it also ? Maybe they are not available?

I don't know man if it was me I would have sold the other three cars and kept the risky business 928 that car is iconic. Even if I own the car it was to sell it it would be no goddamn way in God's green earth would I let it go for 10 grand

How do you slide the seats back when the battery is dead

A friend had this model car in blue back in 1973, when I was discharged in the Navy. Back then a car like this was considered a great car to bomb around in. We certainly did that! The heater was anemic, more like a baby's breath. It was faster than my MGA MK 11 but wouldn't hold a candle to my Series 1 E-Type Jaguar. Britain really screwed up back in the '70's in a number of ways with their car industry. I believe the big auto strikes at the time helped kill their auto industry (yes, you BMC), with the stake to the heart delivered by the Japanese (Datsun 240 Z, Datsun 2000 ect. Those British cars were low priced, fun to drive and a thrill to drive. Your car is beautiful! Good luck with your auction.

I care about you as a person, and I very much urge you to listen to this to the finish: The scriptures tell us that Jesus Christ died for people's sins- now I say "our", but I speak for all who God mercifully appointed from eternity past to have hearts to receive the knowledge of this truth: that our nature is sinful and that we have transgressed God and owe Him a debt to be repaid; ( being hell; just forget your human logic behind justice ); But with God's remarkable free gift of justification and forgiveness, with Christ's death+punishment and resurrection from the dead, being the "means" you could say, for this to be won: whoever will have their faith ( and, according to my interpretation that this is not just a hearing of the facts, and saying "I believe it" with your mouth, or raising your hand at the end of sermon after the pastor's got you pumped up and asks 'who wants to say the sinner's prayer', but rather a faith that cries out to God "have MERCY on me!" and depends on Him as your only hope for forgiveness and being saved Him, that through Him, they'll be pardoned from the Judgement of their Sins by God, will be pardoned, because of His finished work, in what He came into this life to do, and be reborn, ( a change of heart about your life and reality with your knowledge of the truth that sets you free ) and will be saved! Now, being a believer is not "going to church on sundays" or wearing a cross chain or putting a cross bumper sticker on your car; in fact there's so many people who *think* they're Christiand it's scary. Once God does a work in your heart, marking you as His Own ( with the presence of the Holy Spirit ), this will bring about a life, bearing fruits of repentance! And you will be reborn as a new creature! Walking by the Spirit and not by the flesh (the will of your sinful self, and passions contrary to the things of God) Amen and good day my beloved, i hope all who read this have a heart to hear; eternity is ETERNITY, and this life is NOT eternity; it's like a vapor in the wind My prayers and best wishes to you all who read this, Grace and Peace from the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father be with you!!
