And the sad part is when you get blood work done to check your levels for magnesium. Vitamin D and e patassium, the blood work is typically not accurate. Your blood work can say that you are good on these things but actually be deficient. I'm begging you to research these Deficiencies and symptoms. check out Dr. Berg channel
I don't know exactly what surgical menopausal means. But the symptoms that you are saying that you have. I also had for the last few months and I thought I was premental pre-menopausal. However, it turns out that I had some vitamin and mineral deficiencies such as magnesium, Potassium and vitamin D and when I started taking supplements to fix these deficiencies a lot of my symptoms went away. I also take ashwaganda and magnesium to help me sleep. And my sleep is doing so well. I also have less brain fog but I'm still in the process of getting my levels up
Hi Christi, I had a radical hysterectomy which included the removal of my ovaries and because of that I'm menopausal. Peri-menopause can be a misdiagnosis for other issues and vice versa. I'm glad you were able to determine your vitamin and mineral deficiencies, I tell women this all the time. Thank you for watching and your response 👑💕
I love you for sharing your story. Thank you for being so strong❤
Thank you so much!!🤗
Thanks! I'm experimenting with so many things, if it turns out the Valerian is helping, I might take some during the day, too! Yes, I find that the pills work, but only if I take them right when I get into bed! If I take them too early (even 30 minutes before is too early) I miss the short window of time that it makes me drift off!. Thanks for the video and the response!!
I take capsules and they almost always help me go to sleep. I have not used it regularly though. I see there is a study that showed it could be helpful for hot flashes in menopause. I am planning to experiment with that. Last night, I took two capsules before bed and I definitely felt more temperature regulated than I have recently, but I need more experimentation. Do you think the tea is better? (I just find capsules easier, because I leave it by my bed)
Awesome! I'm glad the pills work for you. I've had pills before but they didn't work fast enough so for me the tea is better. As for as hot flashes, because valerian root relaxes, your body temperature will naturally be cooler.
Does taking velerian root tea is bad for chronic insomnia? please reply
I'm uncertain that it is bad unless allergic to it. I consider myself to have chronic insomnia because without it I can stay up until 6am then I fall asleep however that's time to wake up for work. Valerian is an herb so it's not like a chemical dependency where it can cause liver damage or something like that. I also use a Chamomile tea bag for faster relaxation. I would def suggest you researching Valerian root for more information and if you're still not sure consult with your doctor.
Same girlie!...at 33 is insane 😳 ...had mine at 44...been 4 years now....just started HRT last December. It helps a little.
Absolutely insane!! ...I really hope the HRT works out for you.
Yep, I have that.
It's so real I didn't even recognize it until now during my process to find a new primary doctor. I hope this episode provided you with some tips/strategies. Thank you for listening
It was phenomenal thank you so much for being apart
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 this was sooo good.
It gave me a blood clot and dizziness and increased my blood pressure. It also caused me to become super moody and depressed. I'm just trying to get better
Oh wow! That's crazy so sorry to hear that. I heard someone else say that they developed a blood clot while on it.
I feel you, sis. I’m the aunt asking my nieces how their cycles are and letting them and their parents know I have endometriosis. My diagnosis timeline is clearly unique- I only waited 3 months as a black woman seen by non-black medical professionals and I’m so grateful to God for that 🙏🏽
I am so glad it only took 3months for you that is a blessing because it can get sketchy out here... I commend you for being your nieces advocate we have to prepare them... Thank you so much for watching.

Ditto: great explanation. Wish I had known about those inflammatory indicators yrs ago. A change in diet can reverse the effects of inflammation. I have both OA and hair issues. Sugar & stress are huge contributors. So I’ve Reduced stress, sugar and carbs. Supplements help. MSM, Zinc , D3, B-complex, Magnesium Citrate, and a Multi (every other day) works for me. I also de-stress. Music, reading, writing, avoiding negativity whenever possible. Eliminate fried and fast foods, soft drinks, sugary snacks, chips of all kinds. Eat veggies, soups, bone broth, etc. Hair is regrowing plus a decrease in pain
Love This!! Yes! I agree with you I wish I knew this back when this first started. It's been a while since recording this video, but I also take supplements, I take the Zince, DC, B complex, Pumpkin seed oil, Saw Palmetto my other supplements target my menopause symptoms. I Love your de-stress strategy!!!! remove the toxic crap and live you Best Life!!! 😆 Thank you so much for watching!!

Amen! Learn the new you because you have grown. The things that were once important seem to be no longer of importance. #Spot ON😊
I have not tried it, what benefits do you get from it?
Helps you fall asleep and stay asleep drink it about 1hr or 30min before bed you’ll figure out what’s best for you.
It is always great listening to someone who has been through something similar to what I have. My journey has been quite different to yours but with a lot of similarities also. I would love to share a verse with you but I won't because I know we are not all encouraged by the same Scriptures even. So I just encourage you to keep on going in your beautiful journey, and dig into those Scriptures because that is where we find our hope, our truth and our strength. 💜
Thank you so much!!💕 I truly appreciate the words of encouragement… Scriptures is where I find peace. I don’t mind you sharing a scripture at all 😊
Thank you, my sister in Menopause! My story is similar to yours, and we have conversed several times via email. Thank you for staging this platform to inform and educate so many sisters about hysterectomies, side effects, and so much more. God is using you as a vessel. So many women are going through this in silence. However, they have someone going through the same thing. Keep pressing forward! I am here for it. ❤❤❤

Yeah I get that menopause it's brutal, but I always said there's not a goddamn thing wrong in your mouth.
At least. Not at lease. And make lists and notes to yourself.
Typos are human ….. The video is for fun, but real life and sometimes you forget lists as well. 🤷🏾♀️🤣
Surgical menopause?
Yes
Omg.. thot it was the weed😮
Gurl..me too 😂❤
Thank you for this very informative video. I just had my first shot because my doctor wants to prepare my body for my surgery. Apparently Lupron is my last choice to stabilize my endometriosis and have the surgery. I didn’t know it was a chemo drug omfg. But thankfully I stumbled across this video and I did my own research. It is indeed a chemo drug, or more specifically an anti cancer drug. Because normally hormone treatment do not reduce your body density or make you bald… this is wayyyyy more than just some hormone therapy.
Thank you do much for watching. I'm glad you did your own research as well, it crazy that this drug is what is needed to "stabilize" the Endo before surgery. I pray that you have a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
I'm 70 had endo in early thirties I went from Dr. To Dr. To a hospital in LA which panel of Dr.s aid it was all in my head, i took injections which I couldn't cont. I probably would of hurt myself Dr. Wanted me to cont. I Refused wen t on searching,I got hysterectomy in 30's here I am now Take care ladies Get 1,2 Opinions Until your satisfied
Thank you for sharing. I hate that you had a horrible experience it’s absolutely crazy because many of us have to go through several doctors before we’re heard and because of this the Endo can become worse. That’s why we have to learn to be our own advocates and fire the doctors who don’t listen.
The hardest part is people asking " when are you going to have a baby?" Or "Your probably pregnant" comments 😢. Thats why i hate interacting with alot of people becaue those comments are hard to hear but of course others dont understand what is happening. Not everyone is able to get pregnant. Thats such an inconsiderate question to ask anyone regardless the situation. We need a support group.
Im so happy I found your videos. I feel so alone in this and feel like everyone including employers, family, and friends DO NOT understand. Most people look at it as "oh so your having menstrual cramps, take midol." Like i wish this was midol type pain. I have seen numerous doctors about this and still no one has diagnosed me with it just tell me it sounds like endo and you should have a hysterectomy. No one cares and it sucks. I don't wanna give up but "Jesus this is too much"😢. They really need more Drs that specialize in this stuff.
I totally hear you it really does suck which is why many of us suffer in silence because many people don't understand that is beyond cramps.... Have you tried to google doctor's that specialize in endometriosis in your area and see if they take your insurance? I pray that you are able to find someone that will listen to you. 👑💜
Thank you so much for sharing this information. It has been just over one year since my hx, I am 42. I have struggled really bad with anxiety ever since. The HRT was not tolerable for me because of side effects, and it didn't help with the anxiety anyway. The reason I needed the hx was because I had endometriosis but had too many side effects from birth control (even the iud). I have my own business and work from home but still struggle to meet deadlines when the anxiety revs up. It's been rough. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out there dealing with this, not that I wish it on anyone else lol. I take medication now and see a therapist and it is starting to help a lot, as does my Christian faith. God bless you!
Bonnie, Thank you for watching and sharing your story with me… No you are def not alone! I pray that the medication for your anxiety work out for you. I know this journey can be frustrating so stay connected. 👑🤗💜
My PMDD is so bad that even though I have liver disease and Ankylosing Spondylitis, a degenerative autoimmune spinal arthritis and am on immune suppressants, that this is my only option if I want to continue living. I find it odd that women with PMDD have such opposite reactions. This is a cure for us. I feel fine for the first time in years. I don't want to kill myself. Hysterectomy in a few months, and I'm 37. Hope y'all feel better too. Please pin my comment for PMDD sufferers. There are no other places on TH-cam that I've found. If you have PMDD, this is very unlike to affect you this way.
Hi Haley! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Lupron is one of those treatments in the Endo community is very controversial and disliked by many due to the side affects, unfortunately for us it is a temporary fix, and is often a treatment option after each surgery so we don't have cycles while in recovery and to "slow the endometriosis tissue growth". Though it can help it is not cure for us. I am sooooo happy that this a cure for those with PMDD I will pin your comment and I will also research and record a video regarding PMDD. Regarding your Hysterectomy, I pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery, I don't know what type of hysterectomy you are having, but I have videos regarding my journey and you can follow me on instagram as well @millennialinmenopause. ~Blessings 💜
Thank you for sharing this story. You did an awesome job telling your experience. I will be rethinking taking this drug. As my doctor is trying to get me to start.
Thank you so much for watching and the encouragement!! I pray everything works out ask as many questions as you can if you decide to take it pay attention to your body and express your concerns don’t let your voice me muted. 💛🎗️
So sorry for your loss🤍 I hope you cherish the beautiful memories you have of her🪻 on a side note: I love your makeup🩷
Thank you so much for the encouragement and the compliment. 🤗❤
My life has been miserable ever since my total hysterectomy 😢.
I'm so sorry to hear this. This journey is def not an easy one it's like learning your body all over again.
Thank you for sharing this amazing video because i dont see many of women of my same color talk about surgical menopause, i had my cervix/uterus/falopian tubes removed because of stage 4 endometriosis that was 1yr 6mos ago but now i have to have my ovaries removed because of the endometriois that is affecting them and im praying because of course my dr wants to immediately start me on the HRT with 1mg of estradiol and i really dont want to take them because of all of the negitive side effects surrounding them……I will pray and ask God to lead me on the best route to take. God bless you abundantly for sharing this it really means a lot…..
Thank you so much for watching!! I am sorry to hear you will have to have your ovaries removed. Yes definitely pray about it, it is a big decision not one to take lightly. I will be praying for you and with as well as you being this journey. Blessings!
@@MillennialInMenopause thank you I had my surgery yesterday & so blessed that I made it through the surgery! God is good thank you for the prayers & I will be praying for your process with taking the natural route on replacing your hormones 🙏🏽
@@EmbeddedInTheHeartOfGod You’re Welcome!! I’m so glad you had a successful procedure. Be well as you recover take as slow as you need to don’t do to much before your body is ready.
Thank you for this informative video. It was suggested that I take Lupron for 6 months to shrink my fibroids before surgery. I did the research and I'm terrified. I put the order for Lupron on hold and I'm going to see if I'm a candidate for embolization. Thank you for validating my decision to get a second opinion.
Thank you for watching!! Pray that everything goes well with your surgery and I pray for a speedy recovery!!
I just got off the stuff and looking to see how long till I feel normal again after I stopped.
Thank you for watching🤗 …. I would say you should know if your surgery and the treatment did it’s thing by your second cycle after coming off the shot… You will really know when your doctor exams you they can have an idea of what’s going on. Def. Keep track of how you feel moving forward like if you feel pain or other symptoms pre the surgery and treatment…. I pray that it works out for you, your not on this joinery alone 💛🎗️💪🏾👑

Awesome!! I'm so glad you found something that worked for you. I'm going to check out the Viviscal Thank you so much for sharing!!
How about an ablation I had that and it took my away is it the same thing
Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question
Thanks for the tips!
Drs look down on 'self diagnosis' put when you've been dismissed by so many Drs, you have to figure something else out at some point.
Exactly!
Drs were dismissive of my extreme symptoms for 15+ years. It was so traumatic to finally get a response that wasn't something along the lines of, 'sometimes women get pain with their cycle. Take more ibuprofen regularly'.
Drs are always quick to throw out prescriptions without giving any warning of the horrible side effects. And if you've actually DONE your research and you mention all the nightmarish side effects, the Dr is quick to make it seem like you have a one in a billion chance of getting them.
So true! it really sucks, you just have to pray and trust your decision at that point. Thank you for watching!
Do you still make videos? I'm an older woman who has suffered surgical menopause and I have repeated bouts with depression and anxiety.
Hello! Thank you so much for watching! yes I have other videos and will be producing more this year. I relate to the depression and anxiety I have been dealing with it since my hysterectomy. I will def. share more about this in future videos.🤗💜

Thank you for making this video. You did an amazing job in sharing your experience. You are encouraging others to come forward and in so doing the true healing begins, in that I mean the spiritual healing which is the most important of all. May God Bless and help all who are in need.
@IslandGirl9152 thank you so much for watching and your encouraging words. Let the Healing Begin!💜
I had extreme anxiety after surgical menopause at 40. Definitely never heard anybody talk about that. It was 6 months ago, also for endometriosis. The hormones did not help and they had negative side effects so i don't take them. I am still dealing with it but I'm on a couple of medications to manage it. Thank you for sharing your story!
Thank you so much for watching! I know your procedure was six months ago, but I hope you are recovering well. Thank you for sharing your experience with HRT, it just doesn't work for everyone.
@@MillennialInMenopause yeah I was bummed because now I'm concerned about premature skin aging (vain, I know) due to lack of estrogen. But I'm taking good care of my skin with lots of good actives ( I do lots of research on that) and taking supplements plus a very healthy diet so well see. I am recovering well except for the anxiety but I am still able to live my life most days so I'm grateful 💜

After only 1 injection of lupron depot I was made a sexless eunuch...my ovaries and uterus dried up like raisins, went necrotic and I almost DIED! These drugs are dangerous and should never be used off label by women or children
Wow!!! I am so sorry to hear this. It is disgusting to know that it is even an option to put into our bodies and the fact that it's not one injection but six.
@@MillennialInMenopause I got very sick 2 weeks after the first injection, had to have a 16 hr surgery to correct all the damage done by the luprin... What people fail to realize these drugs were designed to chemically castrate a pedophile after only 1 injection... The other thing I noticed my white cracker doctor, gave these drugs to native, Jewish and African American women more frequently than white...he was permanently sterilizing us...
